The Female Cultivator In The World of Men - Chapter 99
“The match has ended!” The owner of the martial hall shouted at the top of his lungs.
“The winner is,” he inhaled and gathered air in his lungs. By this moment, he had reached where Pah Jama was standing and took her wrist in his hand.
He raised their hands up in the air together and without giving Pah Jama a chance to say something, he shouted.
“PAH JAMA!!!!!”
Pah Jama: “…..”
His already loud voice echoed in the silent hall, which had now turned as quiet as a mourning hall upon seeing this unexpected turn of events.
The fat merchant was the first one to wake up from his shocked state when he finally came to terms with the reality.
But just because he came to terms with the reality did not mean he was going to accept the fucking loss.
“I do not accept this!” His angry voice thundered in the room as he stood up from the chair, struggling. He was blinded by anger to the point that he did not even remember that there was someone sitting on his thicc lap.
“Owie..” The dancing gril lost her balance and fell down on the ground with a loud thud. It was safe to say that if it was not for the fact that the merchant had short and stubby legs, she would have broken her neck or worse, died on the spot.
But given the height from where she fell down, she was unhurt and fine. The worst she could expect was a mild concussion on her brain.
After landing on the ground, she immediately crawled away from the man as fast as she could. The merchant was angry meant that it was not going to be a good thing for her to stay there anymore.
She had seen his attitude and arrogant as well as tyrant conduct when he visited their brothel the last night.
Standing at a safe distance from the fighting arena and the merchant, she heaved a sigh of relief and quietly giggled when she took a quick glance at a gold chain she was holding.
She had taken it from the merchants’ pocket when he was busy fuming out smoke from his nose and ear with anger while watching the match between Pah Jama and Zheng Pao.
‘The match was worth it! hehe!’ She giggled as she placed the gold chain inside her pocket.
‘Well, I am outta here now,’ she murmured under her breathe and gave a light peck to it. Without garnering attention from anyone, she snuck out of the hall.
Well, no one had time to pay attention to some dancing girl when they were busy watching the drama unfold in front of them.
“What do you mean, you do not accept it?” the owner scrunched his nose in a disgusted look as he looked at the fat bellied merchant.
He was indeed fond of money but that did not mean he tolerated people breaking rule and promises.
The bet was as important and valuable as a covenant.
“I want a rematch!” he snarled at him, his face swelling at a speed visible to the naked eyes upon seeing that the owner was not taking his side.
He could not accept the loss when he had put all of his property at stake. If he was to lose all of it, only he knew he was going to be as goo d as the peasants that he heated to death.
He was going to come to street and will have no choice but to start from scratch, or beg or if things got bad, he would have to steal from other people.
When the image of himself begging on the street flashed inside his head, he was more agitated and he could not help but shout out once again.
“You hear me!! I do not accept this result! She must have cheated or used some witch craft!” He shouted at her with all his might. When he was done with pointing his fingers at her, he was out of his breathe and panting heavily.
“Master, the match has already ended and the winner had been announced,” the owner of the hall started speaking and smiled politely.
No matter what, the man was still his guest and customer.
“I was here all the time and I did not see anything wrong with the techniques they used.” He said as he looked at Pah Jama with eyes full of trust.
“BUT!” The merchant shouted once again , yet he was interrupted by a single word from the mouth of the owner.
“Sore Loser!” He narrowed his eyes as he looked at the fatso.
“I did not see anyone trying to use nay forbidden technique or anything like that.” He completed what he was saying beforehand with a heavy sigh.
“Grrrrr…” the merchant gritted his teeth as he started to pant like a dog. Everything he wanted to say got stuck at his throat and he just could not nothing but tremble on the spot looking like a big rabid dogs.
When everyone had thought that he had calmed down and accepted the loss, he did something else that no one had expected.
He walked towards the table where the treasures and money were placed with a shaky knee and placed down his hand heavily on the table.
Bam!
He bought down his hand heavily on the table startling almost everyone.
“Hehehehe, this is all mine….” He mumbled deliriously as he started to gather the gold coins in his hand like a mad man.
“This is also mine,” he took the pearl necklace the other merchant had placed in the stake and grinned happily. The shock from losing all his money and fortune in such a short span of time had made him lose his mind at the moment.
Saliva started drooling down his mouth as he struggled to hold the coins in his bosom properly as it was always falling down from the gaps.
“….”
“…..”
“…..”
“…”
Countless speechless and dumbfounded faces looked at the pitiful scene. Finally one of the audiences could not take it anymore and threw a tomato at his head.
His aim was correct and it hit him right at the top of his head. The tomato splattered all on the top of his head, looking kinda messy.
“Booooooo!!!!!” He showed a thumbs down sign at the merchant and clicked his tongue.
The slight pain and wetness made the man snap out of his delusion a little bit and turned around to look at the man who ha d just thrown the tomato at him.
“You-” He roared in anger but the other man cut him off.
“Accept the loss, you sore loser!” he shouted out as he threw another tomato which slightly missed his forehead and instead landed on his right eye.
Splat!
Following the lead of the guy, the other audiences also did the same and with in a few second the whole hall was filled with the sound of people booing at the greedy merchant.
Sound of booing echoed in the fighting hall along with the shower of tomatoes.
The other merchant who was about to showcase his dissatisfaction at the result along with the fat merchant felt himself getting weak at his knees upon seeing the treatment of the fatty.
Unlike fatty, he had betted only the pearl necklace and nothing more. Although, it was an heirloom of his family and expensive, he still had his business left.
He was willing to let go of the necklace in exchange for saving his dignity and prestige.
….
“Err, are you not going to take care of it?” Le Fang Ling looked at the owner who had a few veins popping on his forehead looking at the wild action of his customers.
The owner of the hall was a little but angered upon seeing the chaotic situation in the hall.
“SILENCE!”
His voice echoed in the room, attracting attention from everyone. They all finally calmed down and stopped the riot they were causing as they took back their seat.
“Take him to the old doctor grandma,” he motioned to his men to take away Zheng Pao to get treatment. Seeing way too may fights had at the very least made him aware that his internal spiritual organs were hurt by the attack from Pah Jama.
The wounds and injuries on the inner channels and vessels was not a pleasant thing for any martial artists or cultivator to experience.
“Yes!” His men quickly carried Zheng Pao away from the arena and brought him to the old lady.
Pah Jama looked at them go until they were totally out of her sight.
“You have lost the bet and that’s it!” she looked down at the fatty merchant and said with an apathetic face.
He did not speak anything. He had nothing to say anymore now that he had regained his senses.
A bet was a bet!
A loss was a loss!
It did not change no matter how much he tried to not acceot it.
“Is there anyone who has dissatoisfaction?” The owner said as he glanced round the silent room. No one had anything to say.
“It looks like everyone agrees.” He nodded his head in relief when the matter was finally set up. He did not want any more riots here.
….
“Master,” Le fang ling called out to the old man Yi Feng as they were walking out from the martial hall.
“Hmm?” he said as he turned to look at her.
“This disciple here thanks your trust in her,” Le Fang Ling extended her hands forward and bowed down.
“Thank you!” she expressed her gratitude as she offered him the jade necklace.
“No need,” Master Yi Feng said as he placed both his hands behind him.
“That is my gift to you.” He said with a heavy sigh.
“Congratulations on your ordination as my disciple.”
