The First Store System - Chapter 1508: A New Day in the Store(1)
Aakesh returned to the selection area after losing a battle against the opponent.
Since there was still some time left before Lily and Khaval’s exit, he asked the system for his chair.
Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.
[Host, the sun is about to rise on Thorr City!]
The system’s mechanical alert rang in Aakesh’s ears, waking him up from meditation.
Aakesh opened his eyes and immediately looked toward the screen. He had sensed a slight improvement in his absorption rate, and looking at the screen, it wasn’t an illusion. Aakesh was slowly reaching his limit, meaning he was close to another breakthrough.
Aakesh then waved his hands and stood, summoning the room’s door.
Some time later, the door opened, and Aakesh stepped out of it. He climbed down the stairs and walked to his chair. There was still around a minute left before the sunrise, so Aakesh spent that time silently.

The sun rose on Thorr and its nearby cities, and its first ray of light touched the earth, piercing through the cover of darkness in their way.
Seventeenth Street was overcrowded with customers, and they suddenly turned excited when they saw the store’s door opening.
Aakesh had long been accustomed to those scenes, so he didn’t make them wait any longer. He turned around and returned to his chair while the people on the street thronged the store inside like a raging tide.
In the time it took to blink, the street had turned empty, with all the people inside the store. The first group of people to enter got covered in a transparent, golden light.

“Hello, store owner,” Andrith respectfully greeted Aakesh.
Andrith was a new customer who had entered the store early in the morning, but due to the long line of customers, he finally received his turn after around an hour.
Aakesh silently nodded in response to Andrith’s greeting, as usual, and waited for him to ask the question.
Andrith disappointed Aakesh as he began introducing himself after that. He belonged to the race Gersical. It was a powerful race in the Sacred Dimension, with them controlling several Universes.
The race didn’t have a Sacred Creator of their own, so they couldn’t be considered a top race, but it had seven Sacred Monarchs. Each Sacred Monarch had a clan of their own, making seven clans rule the race together.
Andrith wasn’t from any of the seven clans. Other than the Seven clans, the remaining race members were called ordinaries, and Andrith was also a part of that ordinary group.
The power struggle was a common factor that bound every race together. The seven clans controlled the race due to their strong leaders, so each clan had a monopoly over a certain part of the administration.
But since the Seven clans were only in the minority if considered the total number of races, some powers were left to ordinaries. It was a way for the Seven clans to keep each other in check.
Andrith became a part of that struggle due to his mother. Polygamy, or polyandry, wasn’t a frowned upon subject in the Gersical race and wasn’t only limited to elites.
Andrith’s mother had six husbands, and as fate would have it, one of her husbands was next in line to be promoted to a top administrative post in the Department of Resources.
The Department of Resources was controlled by all seven clans, and each wanted to have its favorable member in the seat. .

“Store owner, tell me about the store products,” Andrith asked after completing his introduction. He had come to the store after finding its information from an intelligence organization.
Andrith was facing heat for the post his step-father would enjoy. He liked the man, so he was willing to fight for him, but to do that, he needed strength.
There would be a small contest between the children of the contenders for the seat. It didn’t mean that the winner’s father would get the seat. If that were how things went, it would be easy to do things, but whoever’s child became the winner would most certainly get a slight edge over other contenders.

Andrith’s luck wasn’t very bad, so despite him being a new customer and his first-time entry to the store, he luckily got a spot in Panagea in the last group for the day.
Since he couldn’t enter Panagea before that, Andrith focused on other products. His cultivation level was peak Higher God, so all the products in the store were available to him.
He had only recently stepped into the peak level, so his cultivation wasn’t very stable, so he purchased some pills that could help him with that. Once the sale of the pill was complete, he focused on beasts and skill cards.
The training area would help him, so he decided to focus on it once he had purchased a beast and skill cards. Since he needed to wait for his spot in Panagea, it was better to spend that time on training.

Andrith looked in awe at the beast’s murals painted on the wall. Since it wasn’t very late in the day, there weren’t that many people in the room.
Since it was his first time in the store, he could summon from both devices. There was a contest waiting for him a decade away from now, so he didn’t have the time to train a beast. It was better to summon a beast of similar cultivation. His strength would receive an immediate boost from the beast’s addition.
After making his decision, he didn’t waste any time and walked to the second pillar. There were less than a hundred people in front of him, so after waiting for a few minutes, it was his turn.
Andrith already had a beast in his mind. Hoping to get that, he pressed the summoning button.
Following that, the square sections began to rotate with a rumbling sound. It kept on doing so for five seconds, and then it stopped.
A beast unfamiliar to Andrith then appeared on the screen. A few moments later, Andrith walked to the return compartment and put the card there.
