The Gamer In Another World - Chapter 25

All of us is meet in the east gate in an hour.

“So where should we go ?” All of us look at Grid

“According to information I get, and the testimony of the girl in that group they should run towards the Swamp Area. If any of you who still lack an antidote or any kind of potion that let you survive in the Swamp please buy it immediately.” (Rudeus)

“Sh*t. They run towards the swamps. No only they are fools but idiot also” said Velma with an angry voice

“I think I’m already pack everything I need” said Dion

“Rudeus, how about you ? Are you lack anything ?” (Grid)

“Nope. I’m set” (Rudeus)

“This will be our formation. Dion will be our vanguard so he will in front of us. Rudeus will stand in my side cause he have body battle skill and fist arts, so he can protect me from danger. I will be the hunter and scout which will help Dion kill the enemy in front. And miss Velma you will behind us guard our back” (Grid)

“Ok” all three of us nod

“Alright let’s move out” (Dion)

Because we still in Forest Area I speak to grid “Grid, Dion is second year student right. But you just call his name. And what’s wrong with Swamp Area ? Seems like miss Velma is quite angry” (Rudeus)

“Yeah, Dion is second year student but he don’t like anyone call him senior. He says it make him looks old. For why miss Velma is angry because the Swamp is a place no one come in, even only a few adventure want to do a quest in Swamp Area. That place is filled with a poisonous monster. Even though the strength of the monster is not strong but their poison is quite disturbing. Some of them make someone paralyzed and some of the monster venom is quite deadly. If it’s not tend fast enough you can lose your life.” (Grid)

“I see. That’s really scary then. Do you think that student team is still live right now ?” (Rudeus)

“I don’t know, but if they really enter the Swamp Area, there’s only a few chance that they can survive” (Grid)

“Damn.. let’s just hope for the best” (Rudeus)

“Yeah” (Grid)

We safely pass the Forest Area.

When we arrive in the border of the Swamp Area, I look around. The tree is like wither, old but at the same time still robust. It have many branches which connected to other three and so many vines. All in all the world seems to be gray in color.

This place is gloomy.

“Alright guys, this is it. From now on I want everyone focus and do not talk if not important. I hope everyone can listen my voice when time comes.” (Grid)

Three of nod at Grid and we continue our journey. We keep walking with caution. but then we heard Grid Voice “Stop”

All of us stop and grid said “Be careful there is a five leaf tree snake in the tree twenty meters in front of us. Four in branches, two at the left, two at the right and the last one is in the tree bark at the right”

We nod and continue. When we arrive in the tree where the snake reside all of them attack us at the same time.

Senior Dion raise his shield and block 2 of the right. I take care in the left side and miss Velma kill the one in the tree bark.

I punch one of the snake and dodge the second one. But I don’t give it a chance to attack me again. I turn my body around and use my battle skill immediately

“Tyrant Fist Blow.. Bam..” the snake head burst immediately and died. The other one who get hit by my first punch attack me again. But Grid let his go his arrow

“Puchi..” the snake get pierce by the arrow

I immediately turn my body and want help senior Dion but seems like Grid already release his second arrow

“Puchi.. puchi..” the two snake die immediately

Miss Velma already kill it the one in the three bark and wait for us.

Grid then said to me “Don’t use your battle skill so much Rudeus. You need to save your Energy, we still have a long way to go.” said Grid seriouly

“Oh I see. Alright” (Rudeus)

“The monster in Swamp Area do not have strong body, you only to be careful with their poison attack.” after Grid said that we continue our journey again

We met so many weird kind of monster in the Swamp. Not only different kind of snake, there is a weird bird, a raccoon and a frog.

Grid said when we arrive in the wet area we must be careful with an alligators. They are the King of Swamp.

A few moment of walking into the deeper level of Swamp Area we arrive in the wet area. It filled with mud. It make us slow down our speed. Grid keep scanning the area around us.

Senior Dion which in front suddenly speak “Where are we headed now. We can not stay for to long in this Area. It limited our movement and strength.”

“I already check a few track. It seems like that team go into Swamp Valley” (Grid)

“Sh*t. They really want to die huh.” miss Velma which heard it in the back curse

“Alright, let’s increase our pace for now.” (Dion)

“Ok” everyone answer

In this mud our strength is really decreasing. Not only it restricted our movement but we lose our agility too. For senior Dion and me whose focus in strength we are a bit fine, but for Grid and miss Velma, they really have hard time. After all their fighting style focus on mobility.

We fight quite a lot. Many of the monster which attack us is snake and frog type monster. We even met an alligators and there are two of them.

“Rudeus, don’t it let get away. I will help miss Velma first. You should focus on killing the monster that Dion hold” (Grid)

In all of our fight, Grid is the one in command. So I immediately run towards the monster which hold by senior Dion and strike them.

“This alligators is really hard.” (Dion)

“Senior behind you” I scream when I see one the alligators want to attack senior Dion from the back.

I immediately run towards the senior and kick the alligators away. I then scream. “Grid help us”

“Chh.. Phew.. phew.. phew..” three arrow aim at the monster around us.

Miss Velma can’t use her movement battle skill so she can hardly kill an enemy fast enough.

“Senior hold one of the alligators, let us kill it first.” I said to senior Dion

“Ok.” (Dion)
