The Gamer’s System - Chapter 265
Zeke was also busy at his end. Although Pier has yet to show up, he was already informed of the god’s possible whereabouts. Namely, right beneath the sea of [Chaos] which they were still fighting.
“Judging by both Quinn’s and Vask’s abilities, I guess they’d need a whole hour to finish the task.”
Zeke was still watching from the skies. Although he seemed to simply be standing there, everyone knew that he was working the hardest.
All of the [Minimaps] were opened. All of the visions connected to his allies were also activated. He was carefully watching every monitor through the help of [Gamer’s Mind] making sure that the slightest hint of danger would be traced before it gets worse.
This was how he was able to reach out to Quinn as soon as it was needed. It was not on some sort of luck or proper timing. It was because Zeke watched the events unfold.
He didn’t mind that there was one more [Monarch] that added to the count. He didn’t mind that both Glade and Pier were able somehow live through Quinn’s attack. There was a part of him that liked it because, the [System Quests] were also benefitting from the things that were happening.

“Yeah that’s not happening.” Zeke commented to the last part of the notifications.
The [Plants of Order] were already close to being destroyed. It was an inevitable outcome after all because, a few plants were nothing compared to a thick and visible sea of [Chaos].
But that wasn’t any cause for the gamer to worry at all. Zeke achieved something else with the help of these plants. Something which was just as important. Through it, the gamer was able to give his allies time to recover while it also gave Allesiah and Kaguya time to finish their own task.
“Zeke we’ve found the core.” Allesiah said, releasing her [Chaos Sight] immediately as it was begging to strain her eyes too much.
“Good job you two.” Zeke began as the [System] once again gave a reward corresponding to the achievement.

Kaguya assisted Allesiah as the elf needed to close her eyes. It was as painful as the day she forced the skill to its limit. Making her eyelids twitch involuntarily; something which Zeke noticed right away.
“Kaguya go join the others. As soon as anything happens to our [Shard Hunting] unit, you guys will teleport there to assist.” He said, holding on to Kaguya’s hand. Allesiah did not accept this payment for her efforts however; deciding to rest her head on Zeke’s shoulder while hugging him.
“Ahem.” Kaguya was not used to seeing either Allesiah or Zeke in that state.
“Do you need anything else Kaguya?” Zeke asked as he prepared a healing spell for Allesiah.
“We can’t just leave can we? I mean, no matter how I look at this, it’s beyond catastrophe or calamity level.” Kaguya said referring, of course, to [Chaos].
There were more monsters coming out of their enemy. The tentacles were also being more aggressive with its attacks. Thankfully, the plants were still able to withhold all these attacks in the meantime.
“Nah it’s fine. I’ve got things covered.” Zeke patted Allesiah’s shoulder once, making her back off a little bit as the gamer began healing her using [Phoenix Flames].
“Well if you say so.” Kaguya went to the group immediately, relaying the instructions given by Zeke.
“You sure do know how to order people around.”
“It comes with the job description Allie. Now stay still.” Zeke said with a smile on his face.
It was weird but, even in the midst of all that was happening, Zeke was still calm. He knew that this was largely due to the [Gamer’s Mind] but, not being able to enjoy the thrill of the moment also had downsides to it.
“Give me all the details on the core while your eyes regenerate.”
“Can’t we even have some moment here?” Allesiah suggested as she held no to Zeke’s hand.
“Nope. Now spill it.” The elf sighed in irritation but the mission was still more important than what she wanted. Hence she simply sighed as she began talking about the core.
“Although we’ve confirmed that there is a [Core], it is also something that is continuously moving. That was probably the reason why it was so difficult for both me and Kaguya to spot it at first.”
“Hmmmm… I mean that much should be expected given its form. Something without a definite structure has a large possibility of having a trait like that.”
“But its not going to be that problematic. I’ve already memorized the [Energy] structure of the core as well as the faint traces it leaves when it moves. If we fight it, I’d only need about five minutes to track it down again.”
“Well that’s good to hear at least.” Zeke said, finally finishing his healing of Allesiah’s eyes.
The elf stared at her for some reason. It was a bit uncomfortable for the gamer. Especially because it seemed like Allesiah was trying to go to the very depths of his soul.
“Zeke, what do you plan on doing after this?” She asked in a serious tone.
“Whoa, why the sudden change in mood though?” Zeke said, smiling as he gave his answer.
“I’ll probably sleep all day and relax. There’s not much to do once we’re through after all.”
“Do you really think I’d believe that Zeke?” She said, cornering the gamer who finally gave an honest reply.
“Look. This whole thing wouldn’t have happened if these gods and monarchs only knew how to do their jobs properly. It’s not only Mythos which I am referring to at this point. I’m talking about all the created worlds and the problems arising from each one.”
“So what? Are you gonna rebel against the gods?”
“That’s a close answer actually. But I have something else in mind.” The gamer said, with his gaze piercing right through Allesiah. As if it was looking at a future which only Zeke knew about.
Allesiah was supposed to say something more. If she did, then a lot of things may have changed in the future. But time was not on her side. Nor where the hands of fate that weighed the gamer down.
Below them a surprising feat just occurred. All the [Plants of Order] suddenly got cut down. By Zeke’s estimate, it should’ve taken at least an hour more before they got completely wiped out. But this, was far beyond anything he calculated which, led him to conclude one thing. There was an interference that occurred.
“Everyone, prepare your transportation scrolls.” Zeke said as they all watched flames of chaos rise on the withering and burning remains of the plants. Smoke covered the area until, someone rose on top of it; the same god who started it all – Pier.
“I see that you’ve been keeping my dear [Chaos] company.” His aura was nothing like all those which the elites have felt before. It was sinister and filled with malice; as if the one they were facing was the devil himself.
Yet Zeke was not fazed at all. He already faced the god once and, this was when he still lacked power. Things have changed drastically from that moment and Zeke showed this through a bombardment of grenades.
Kaguya followed this up by enhancing the skill. Using up the existing flames from the explosions in order to create a giant cylindrical wall of flame. Trapping the said god inside.
“Heron, Sylph and Morpheus will go to Mithril. Everyone else, focus on aiding the other elites on Mythos.”
Tentacles shot up from the wall of flames and so did various circular projectiles. All of which aimed at the elites and the other Mythos dwellers.
“Wind Wall!” Allesiah casted; taking care of the projectiles while Zeke dealt with the tentacles. Slicing them all down using swords of his [Conjures].
“Well?” He suggested, looking at the other team members who finally teleported out of the area.
“Bravo mister Elwood! It truly is a pleasure to finally meet you like this.” Pier destroyed the wall of flames easily. Using the sea of [Chaos] which he had complete control over.
“Oh I can’t say the feeling’s mutual buddy.” Zeke said, completely relaxed while thinking of the combinations he could use in the fight.
“Did nobody ever teach you of proper manners boy? Well, I guess that much is to be expected seeing as you even badmouthed the main deities.”
Zeke didn’t exchange words with him anymore. He proceeded to raining down skill shots at Pier and so did Allesiah. The monsters and tentacles retaliated in Pier’s stead but these were countered by Zeke’s [Conjures].
The monsters immediately increased in numbers but, Zeke was already finished preparing his spell at this point. Five layers of runic texted magic circles floated in the sky. All with the same glow of sunrise as Zeke casted:
“Blaze of the Fire God!”
The inferno of flames came down from the heavens. All of the monsters summoned by Pier burned down while [Chaos] itself looked like it was being scorched. Along with this, Zeke also burned himself including all of his [Conjures]. Forcing them into their [Infernal] form while he also activated the [Curse of the Blood King].
“Come out. I know you’re still alive.” He said, waiting for Pier who emerged out of the smoke created.
“Quite an all-out performance mister Elwood.” Pier said, still wearing the same menacing smile on his face. It was meant to faze his foe. Yet the gamer only smiled back at his opponent as he gave his remark.
“Please. That was just my greeting.”
