The Gatekeeper - Chapter 20 Time To Go
The darkness finally swallowed the world the only light being permitted being the two moons’ light and the stars above. In the camps, nothing but the noise of crickets and hums of the wind could be heard as all went to bed knowing the two days’ journey waited for them. The mist had long ago abated and nights air refreshed and clear. In the midst of the dark night, a lithe shadowy figure could be seen sprinting about in the shadows, the figure glowed a translucent purple and seemed as if a ghost. It stopped in front of a tent, the tent was small with holes patched on its side its originally white color smudged with filth and tear. The figure passed through closed the flaps of the tent.
Inside lay three boys, the ghostly figure passed two of the boys to stand beside the boy with pink hair. The purplish ghost took a small spherical object from its cloth and crouched next to the boy grabbed his right hand, with his hand in its arms the figure gently squeezed the spherical object. A light purple glow surrounded both the figure and pink-haired boy, the light then disappeared with both figures leaving nothing but the makeshift bed the boy laid on.
——- Somewhere in Outskirt of Eintritt Town.
In all the years I have lived I never thought I would be breaking the Thrones law. I know I have but days before one of the Emissary is sent to the camp. God, I wonder what they’re doing in the inner sanctum. The little boy is now standing in front of me, he seems fine compared to how he was in the evening. He reminds of my brother especially those eyes of his.
“Little boy how are?” I ask the pink-haired boy. He stares at me and takes out a sucker from one of his pockets.
“I’m alright miss,” the boy says to me yawning “what’s your name?” he asks me while pointing his pink sucker at me.
“Oh, I’m sorry my name is Beatrice.” I say looking at the boy, smiling the best I could “Now that you know My name may I ask for your name?”
“My name is Leviatan LunGodo.” The boy says. “Everyone calls me Levi tho.”
“Alright Levi, how are you doing,” I ask the boy “Hows’ your wound holding up?” I sutured his wounds and knew how severe the wounds were, this boy should not be able to be walking or even talk.
May I check your wound?” I aks the boy moving forward. The boy doesn’t seem to care and lifts up his shirt, his stomach is alright seemingly healthy except for the bandaged gash on the left. I get closer to the boy and take out my Asclepius.
“What’s that?” the boy asks me pointing at my right hand.
for visiting.
“This is my Instrument Asclepius, it helps me heal people, animals, plants and fix objects.” The boys I eyes twinkle in a charming childish glow.
“So Levi do you know how your wound got healed?” I ask the boy, the stab wound that had been there five hours ago had disappeared. Not even a scar was left behind.
“I dunno, I just woke up and voil it was gone.” the boy says lifting his arms in a comical stance. I laugh at his cute actions.
The boys seemed fine, after a long bout of questions and talking I learned that Levi could not remember much of the incident. He could only remember men in black robes.
“Levi darling, you should go straight down this path, and once you enter the Eintritt town go to the church and give them this and ask for a child’s home.” I give a bag full of banknotes and say my last goodbyes as I see him of the dark forest. “Remember to keep the bag hidden even at the church, thieves are everywhere.” I send a whisper to him.
