The Genius’ First Love - Chapter 635
L’Empire was ready for Xhemin. In just a span of a week, another designation party was held for the Leigh heiress this time for her reign over L’Empire. Although she took over L’Empire she didn’t put it under the chain of companies LGC owned and treated it a separate one, primarily holding it on behalf of the two little Lagdameo heirs.
“Today, I end the decades of rivalry between LGC and L’Empire,” Xhemin hold her glass, ready for a toast. Every big Lagdameo personalities were there and also few of Xhemin’s trusted staff. “It was my honor to serve you all and I promise, I will waste no opportunity for L’Empire to grow and become glorious than it ever was until then that the new Lagdameo heir will be ready for his reign,” She added, acknowledging the fact already that her children were Lagdameo’s.
She didn’t really think of any designation party that would take place as she wasn’t sure of L’Empire’s reaction to her having the lead. Besides, she was bit unstable emotionally then as although she hid the fact, like Darryl, she was heartbroken. However, just as Darryl hoped for, all things must come to an end—rivalries, relationsh.i.p.s, hurts and ill-feelings. As the head of LGC and Darryl as the head of L’Empire, it was their obligation to set things right.
Things didn’t come hard for Xhemin though because the moment Darryl was able to convince L’Empire’s heads, Don Samuelle reached out, and everyone made way for her smoothly. She was even allowed to decide what formalities she should follow in the take over as L’Empire had a very thorough take over process like Darryl did previously when he was taken abroad for months. Luckily because she had a choice, Xhemin didn’t have to do that and decided she’ll go for the formalities LGC follows which was a regular designation party. She acknowledges and respects the fact that the L’Empire’s process for take over were done for centuries by the Lagdameo heirs of different generations and since she wasn’t a Lagdameo heir, she wanted to keep that tradition only for them.
“Hear, hear!” Everyone agreed and cheered for her. They all raised their glasses with her looking forward to the great things she was declaring for them. After everything that they’ve been through, from the last few months and years, finally, at this chapter, news things bring light, and the existence of Willow and Wolfe were giving them a strong sense of hope for L’Empire.
“I raised a toast for L’Empire bright future,” Xhemin added and in a moment turned to Willow and Wolfe who were at the foot of the podium she was standing. “I also raise a toast for Willow and Wolfe, my children, L’Empire’s future,”
“Finally, I raised a last toast for the Lagdameo heir,” Xhemin looked for him and found Darryl at the sidelines, away from the crowd that gather before her, like he was no one but an ordinary personnel of L’Empire.
Xhemin gave him a meaningful smile, in honor of the things he had done for all of them. All the crowd turned to Darryl too and in unison ring their glasses with a metal to acknowledge his reign. In response, Darryl gave them one last bow, as if he was a show master and that his curtain was finally closing off.
“Long live L’Empire,” Xhemin ended the curtsy and drank from her glass. Everyone did so after and the room was filled with cheer, claps and laughter once more.

Ziggy like Darryl was on the sidelines, trying to keep a low profile while watching Wolfe and Willow enjoy the crowd. It was the first time that the children had finally come to L’Empire as heirs and all the Ladagmeo’s present were keeping them busy. They were the then the star of the show as if was their own designation party.
“Young sire,” A familiar voice called on her and all the sudden a minor wave of nausea vibrated through his stomach and lungs and took his breath. He knew it was Dannah and although he long to see her, the things between somehow makes him anxious for some reasons.
He turned to give her audience and refused to stare at her eyes by giving her a bow. “Third miss,”
Dannah flushed a hesitant smile at his formality but understood they had no other way to treat each other but just by acknowledging their titles as if for once they had never shared something intimate.
“I had never gotten to say my thanks to you for saving my life,” she started. It was a sincere appreciation, something she thought needed to be said personally. “Your skills are remarkable. Dr. Miles was somehow right when he said you are going to be greater than him,”
“Thank you. That means a lot,” Ziggy responded reminiscing a bit their grandad who had a big part and influence in their childhood. Dannah acknowledging his skills and emphasizing he had finally achieved what their grandad wished for him, he felt a great sense of accomplishments.
For a moment, their conversation got awkward as they both seemed to lose something to say to each other. However, Dannah choose to break the wall and say what she had to say.
“I’m sorry about him…. about the child…” Dannah instantly became teary at the thought of it. “I should have told you a long time ago, but it took me time to acknowledge he was gone and when I was ready to tell you…. you left already,”
Ziggy stared at Dannah’s face, sighed and in a moment answered. “It would be a complete lie to say I did not resent you for it. I wished you could have told me, but I had faults on my own I cannot just blame it all to you,”
“However, I really wished I could have hold him for a while, like your friend Scar did. I wished I could have seen how his eyes looked, heard how he cried…and…” Even Ziggy turned very emotional at the conversation. He knew he would be, the very reason why he dreaded the conversation. “I wished I could have been a father for a while to him…even for a while,”
“I’m sorry youngest sire,” Dannah knew it was very wrong of her to have not told Ziggy the truth and she owned her faults then. Both of them were at hard times that time, their lives were uncertain so were their hearts but no matter what took place, it was never right for her to not tell Ziggy of the child. For that she knew he deserves her apologies.
