The Gloomy Me in Class is Actually the Vocalist of a Very Popular Band - CH 60
“Thank you for waiting! The next performance will star the up-and-coming idol group, Synchronicity!”
And so, Synchronicity’s turn to perform finally came.
From the audience, the other idols from Chaldea Music watched Shiorin and the girls with faint, derisive smiles on their faces.
“Everybody~! Thanks for waiting~!”
Shiorin, Akarin, and Mihorin appeared on the stage full of energy and smiled happily at the fans.
The audience raised cheers of support for the girls.
“Fufufu, without a place to practice and a trainer to instruct them, there’s no way they could possibly perform well.”
Seated at the front of the auditorium, Hanami brought her open fan up to her mouth.
She was definitely trying to hide her wide grin.
Noticing Hanami’s presence, Shiorin and the others took a deep breath to regain their spirits.
“Alright, here we go! Here’s our signature song, Connect!”
After they announced the song they would perform, Shiorin, Akarin, and Mihorin each took their positions on stage.
“…Oh? Their starting position is different from usual, isn’t it?”
No sooner had Hanami muttered this than the music started playing through the speakers.
―And with it, a performance by Synchronicity that would be completely different from any of their previous ones.
First was Mihorin, the slower but more precise dancer of the three, who was soon followed by Shiorin and Akarin who each maneuvered their way into matching poses.
Then, they moved forwards, backwards, sideways, and wherever else their hearts pleased, appealing to the audience’s eyes with their individuality and unity all the while.
The audience was overwhelmed by the choreography supervised by Eldora, the world’s most popular performer, which was completely different from anything they had seen before.
Their singing was pleasant to the ears, with the girls using their natural voices.
They were exerting themselves to their limits, but they were only performing one song on this occasion.
I’m sure they’ll be able to make it till the end without getting exhausted.
“The audience seems really hyped up about Asamiya and the girls’ new choreography.”
“Wow… Shiorin and the others have gotten really good!”
“Yeah, it’s completely different from anything they’d done before. They’re now a new Synchronicity. Everyone will have no choice but to acknowledge them.”
Fans who had come to watch other idols seemed to be transfixed by Shiorin and the others’ performance.
Hanami, who was watching the performance from the front row, dropped her fan.
“T…That’s… impossible…”
Her eyes were wide open in shock as she watched the girls dancing and singing on stage, trembling all the while.
They performed their choreography just as Eldora had taught them.
Each of their dancing habits and quirks had all been brought out as charm.
Hanami’s body was trembling all over.
Then, she shouted at an idol seated next to her, who had already finished their own performance and was currently mesmerized by Shiorin and the girls’ performance, her mouth agape.
“What’s going on?! How much practice would they have needed to be able to achieve this sort of performance?! They don’t even have a proper manager, do they?! Call Chaldea’s producer! They must have given the girls some special lessons!”
“Y-Yes! I’ll call them right away!”
Sorry to say, but the one who gave those girls special lessons wasn’t anyone from your office.
Besides, today’s performance is mostly the fruit of Shiorin and the others’ voluntary effort.
Thank goodness. Surely even Hanami-san now will recognize and accept Synchronicity’s hard work. I carelessly told myself in relief.
“All this in such a short period of time… At this rate, they’ll outrank me in terms of sales. Then, they’ll get back at me for all the times they’ve been harassed by me… I absolutely must destroy them at all costs…”
…Without even noticing Hanami biting down on her nails, muttering something under her breath with a wicked look in her eyes.
