The Goblin’s Leveling System! - Chapter 122
Alex’s PoV:
The legendary rank 3-D printer was purposely built to have the exact model as the 3-D printer back on Earth but instead of using electricity, it used mana.
Moreover, the wires inside the 3-D printer were some mana veins that connected it to the mana core which was the energy source of the 3-D printer.
“Grace, how about you transfer some of your mana into the legendary rank 3-D printer and see what will happen?”
I suggested to Grace and she nodded in response.
Grace channeled her mana into both of her hands and touched the legendary rank 3-D printer.
After coming in contact with the legendary rank 3-D printer, Grace directed her mana into the 3-D printer which caused the mana core inside the 3-D printer to store the mana that Grace had imbued into the 3-D printer.
The creation mana that Grace had transferred into the legendary rank 3-D printer’s mana core flowed into the mana veins inside the 3-D printer which acted like a wire.
The mana veins contained the creation mana and traveled it around the legendary rank 3-D printer which caused the 3-D printer to light up with bright white light.
It seemed that the legendary rank 3-D printer was now activated and could be used anytime as long as there was creation mana stored inside the legendary rank 3-D printer’s mana core.
“Grace, try to familiarize yourself with the legendary artifact and find out its functions. That artifact should be able to increase your control over creation mana by several folds.”
I told Grace and she agreed with me. Grace directed her creation mana into the legendary rank 3-D printer and was in the state of refining her artifact.
I had read from a book that I had ‘borrowed from the Elven library and I found out that artifacts regardless of rank could be refined so that they would only be exclusively used by the one who refined the artifact.
It was similar to how a beast summoner signed a contract with a beast and could summon the said beast anytime.
A refined artifact would be able to be bound by the refiner’s soul, allowing it to appear and disappear anytime.
It was convenient to refine one’s artifact so that it wouldn’t be snatched and used by other people.
I had not refined my legendary rank blue sword yet so I should refine it now that peace was still present.
“I should get going now. I’ll come back later after you successfully refine your legendary artifact.”
I said to Grace who was currently in a meditative state but she still nodded at me.
I went towards the tree where I had rested and placed my artifacts at.
I sat and leaned beside the tall tree and took shade from the sunlight.
Despite having the protective array, sunlight still permeated inside this part of the Monster’s Abode.
It wasn’t a bad thing since the heroes and I would be able to bathe in fresh sunlight and air unlike the harsh sunlight and polluted air back on Earth.
I picked up the blue sword with black engraving in the blue sword’s blade that was beside me.
I transferred my mana into the legendary rank blue sword and let the blue sword familiarize my mana so that it would only respond to my mana.
I executed a meditative position, immersed myself inside my mana pool, and concentrated my mana into the blue sword.
After an hour of painstakingly refining and wasting my mana in the blue sword, I stored a wisp of my soul into the blue sword so that I would be able to control it much more easily.
Furthermore, there might be chances that the legendary rank blue sword would evolve into mythical rank due to the wisp of soul that I had stored in it but it might take some time before it would evolve.
Moreover, the legendary rank blue sword might acquire intelligence and become a sentient weapon and would likely have similar intelligence and personality to me.
Of course, it would take some time before that would happen so I might as well wait for that to happen.
I constantly supplied the legendary rank blue sword with my mana and often stored some of my soul energy in it.
Since Axel had proven that it was possible to create an artificial soul as long as enough soulerium or soul energy was used, it should be possible for me to create another artificial soul with my remaining soul energy.
Also, I could recover my soul energy anytime as long as it wasn’t completely dried out.
I might be able to transcend the legendary rank blue sword artifact in just a couple of days and it was also due to Axel not being stingy.
Axel had given the junior heroes including me a legendary artifact that was at least at top tier legendary rank and only one artifact was mid-tier which was Satomi’s artifact.
Due to that, it would only take a couple more days, and if not, only 1-3 days at most before I could transcend the rank of the blue sword artifact.
Know that, I patiently waited for the legendary rank blue sword to transcend its rank while supplying it with my mana and soul energy.
I checked to see the other heroes and they were continuing in eating the water wyvern meat barbecue since there was still plenty of water wyvern meat left.
The water wyvern meat might spoil tomorrow if it wasn’t added some preservative so that’s the reason why the heroes kept on eating the water wyvern meat like there was no tomorrow because there wasn’t.
If only one of the heroes could preserve the water wyvern meat, then the heroes and I would have a week worth of food supply.
Even if the heroes had not acquired such ability, the hero that would likely acquire a food preserving ability when he reached a higher level would be Distere Krias since he had a chef class and was blessed by the God Of Cooking.
After a few hours had passed, I finally had refined the legendary rank blue sword and the blue sword was on the verge of reaching mythical rank.
I checked to see what Grace was currently doing and I found out that she was still refining the legendary rank 3-D printer.
Maybe the reason why Grace took a long time to refine her artifact was either the legendary rank 3-D printer she refined was much larger than my artifact so it took more time or she was simply untalented when it comes to artifact refinement.
I believed that the reason why was because of the latter hypothesis.
I patiently observed Grace’s artifact refinement and waited for her to finish it.
After an hour of waiting, I noticed that the mana in Grace’s surroundings started to go haywire and the legendary rank 3-D printer mana absorption speed was increasing exponentially.
At this rate, Grace might be sucked dry of mana since her mana recovery rate wasn’t enough to offset the mana absorption rate of the legendary rank 3-D printer.
I had also noticed that the legendary rank artifact was only a few minutes away from breaking through to mythical rank.
I wanted to help Grace since I needed her help to discover the uses of the legendary rank 3-D printer but due to Grace’s special attributed mana, I wouldn’t be able to transfer mana to her even if I wanted to.
The heroes had noticed Grace’s situation and they didn’t do anything to help her since they were the same as me who had a man that wasn’t compatible with Grace’s mana.
Well except for one hero since Axel had stood up from the grass and threw the water wyvern meat barbecue he was holding.
Axel released his mana which resulted in the atmosphere around us becoming a bit suffocating.
Axel left his mana imprints in different locations and it seemed that he was constructing an array.
After he finished that, Axel transferred his mana to the mana imprints he had left and it caused a phenomenon to occur.
The surrounding mana started to gather and once it was gathered at the center of the array, the mana began to compress.
After the mana gathering array was built, Axel took an artifact out of thin air.
Axel placed the artifact at the top of the compressed mana and created another array.
The array that Axel created was to direct the gathered and compressed mana towards the artifact that Axel had placed on top of the gathered and compressed mana.
The artifact converted the compressed mana into creation mana and it suited Grace’s mana.
Axel created another array that functioned as a mana transference.
With the help of that array, the creation mana that was converted from the gathered and compressed mana was transferred to Grace and filled the mana that she had consumed.
After a few hours of waiting, the legendary rank 3-D printer transcended into mythical rank.
Now that the rank transcendence was finished, it was time to ask Grace the functions and uses of the mythical rank 3-D printer.
