The Goblin’s Leveling System! - Chapter 134
Axel’s PoV:
I opened a small entrance in the protective array that was big enough for me to fit in.
I entered and passed through the protective array and headed towards my teammates.
I forgot to close the entrance of the protective array but luckily, Axel 2 was still operating the protective array so he closed off the entrance of the protective array by himself.
“Hi, Axel. What are we going to do now that we have finished the training session for the junior heroes?”
The one who asked me that was Zale. He was currently with Satomi and he was holding a barbecue stick that had traces of wyvern meat in his right hand.
“For now, we will head back to the Holy Church so that we will be able to take care of the problems in every human kingdom. We never know that the demons might have already spread their influence across the entire human continent so we must make haste and protect the human continent from the demons.”
And slaughter all of the demons so that we would be able to earn tons of experience and several overpowered skills.
{Really? That’s your real intention?! I don’t care about it anyway since we have the same intention because of our almost similar personalities.}
While I was talking in my mind, Axel 2 interrupted me and was shocked by my intention.
I just thought that I’m not related to this world so why should I poke my nose into other’s business?
I’m only helping the beings in this world from the harassment caused by the demons just because of the benefits that the Gods had offered.
I’m not the oh-so-holy type of person that would help someone in need while sticking my neck out in the process.
I still wanted to live my life to the fullest in this second life of mine and to do that, I needed the power that the Gods would bestow upon me after I defeated the demon lords.
Hopefully, it would be possible to obtain the cheat skills of the demon lords since it would greatly help me in my cause.
As I had ended talking to myself in my mind and I finished replying to Zale’s question, I headed to the end of the protective array.
Axel 2 already knew my intention so he opened the protective array which created an entrance in the protective array.
I went into the entrance in the protective array and exited the boundary of the protective array.
Axel 2 closed the entrance in the protective array after I exited it.
I summoned the system map which caused a translucent blue screen that displayed the map of the world to instantly appear in front of me.
{You are heading to the place where the black dots were abundant, right?}
Axel 2 asked me after I summoned the system map. After checking up on the system map, I canceled the system map skill which causes the translucent blue screen to disappear.
I don’t need to question you, Axel 2, why you knew my intention.
{I know, I know. Just a friendly reminder, you might die at the hands of the black dotted monsters in the system map since it indicated that they were way out of your league.]
Axel 2 was concerned about my well-being or maybe he was just concerned about his existence since he would die if I died too.
But anyways, Axel 2 had good intentions when he reminded me so I might as well put that in my mind and be careful in handling the high-level monsters near the border.
I cast my [Flight] skill into myself and flew up in the sky while navigating in my surroundings.
I went towards the place where the black dotted monsters were abundant and it was mostly near the boundary.
I don’t know if confronting the high-level monsters that were way out of my league would be a great idea but I knew that I never made the worst idea.
Well, except for choosing not to ride the public transport but instead, walk on the cement road which caused me to stumble upon the grim reaper which reaped my life, the great banana peel-Kun.
A banana peel was much more deadly than a truck since you could hear the honking of the truck’s horn but never a banana peel.
I must be out of my mind on walking on the cement road when I had tons of money to buy a car and ride to school instead.
Well, I had no choice but to contemplate my past worst decisions but I’ll let it be my lesson so that I wouldn’t screw this second life of mine.
After all, even if I thought about the cause of my death a thousand times, I still wouldn’t be able to change the past.
The past was in the past so I’ll just let the sands of time bury my dark past.
It felt as if I was from a comedy genre novel because of dying from a freaking banana peel but at least it had the reincarnation genre.
Although, I would have preferred if it was the time travel genre instead since that would let me redo my past.
{I don’t want to stop you from your monologue but I can hear your inner thoughts for goodness sake so please quiet down.}
Axel 2 interrupted me again from talking in my mind but I listened to him anyway.
After all, I can’t do sh*t against him but he could do numerous ways to make me suffer such as Axel 2 singing ‘let it go’ nonstop in my head.
It would be a complete nightmare so I might as well listen to him.
After I decided to stop my internal monologue, I descended a few meters below so that I would be able to see much clearly.
The clouds in the sky were blocking my view so I had no choice but to descend a few meters below the sky.
The reason why I decided to flew up in the sky was to avoid the high-level monsters from noticing my presence and I knew that my low-level stealth skill wouldn’t do a thing against the high-level monsters.
My only choice was to cover my smell by using the leaves from the trees to cover my smell with the smell of grounded leaves.
It would not be a great choice to cover myself with the scent of other animals since it would cause me to be hunted so I chose the leaves instead since it was abundant.
I descended into the ground and performed a perfect landing.
I quickly snatch multiple leaves from the trees and cast multiple [Wind Blade] to conjure multiple blades of wind that would slice the leaves apart and turn them into pieces.
I then used wind magic to create a small twister that had the smell of the leaves lingered on its air.
After creating a mini twister filled with the scent of the leaves, I entered a small twister which caused some of the leaf extracts to came in contact with my body and it resulted in covering my scent.
The small twister would have caused me to damage myself due to the blades of wind in the twister being sharp and lethal but it was nothing against my high defense stat.
Also, it would be a dumb way to die just because of a skill that I had cast by myself.
With that in my mind, I was cautious enough to reduce the force of the small twister and even if I was attacked by a tornado, it wouldn’t damage me but it was better to be cautious.
{You said that right!}
And it looked like Axel 2 had the same intention as mine.
After I had completely covered my scent to the point that the dogs that police officers used to track the scent of criminals wouldn’t do sh*t against me.
I knew that the scent of the leaves would only be a temporary cover so I might as well defeat a monster in time before the scent of leaves faded.
I could use the scent of the monsters that I had defeated to cover my scent which would cause the monsters near the boundary to be neutral towards my scent since my scent would come from a monster that was similar to the power of the other monsters near the boundary.
My preparation was completed so I decided to head towards the nearest monster within my vicinity.
I cast [Flight] to fly into the sky which would greatly increase my transportation speed.
While I was flying, I viewed the ground form below so that I would be able to look out for potential danger that would endanger my life.
I had learned most of the cautious acts and preparations from Axel 2 since he was my alter ego that was an expert at being cautious.
I remained vigilant while I flew up in the sky cause I will never know if there was a high-level monster that could fly in the sky.
As I was flying in the sky, I saw multiple level 1,000 small bluebirds flying out of near the border as if there was a monster that caused their distress.
It was an indication that a monster that I needed to defeat to become stronger was just up ahead.
