The God Of Women Was Once A Wife? - Chapter 5
“Knock, Knock!”
Wang Fang was practicing his new cultivation art and was not expecting a visitor yet.
His body seemed to be divided into three. However, when the energy around his body stopped glowing only one remained.
The doorway was only a few feet away, and he nimbly hopped over to the doorway before peaking to look.
“Are you in there, Wang Fang?” Chun Da sighed not expecting him here this early. “Any chance you could let your new father get a turn?”
Wang Fang laughed. “I’ll let you get a turn after you take me to the city!”
In the last week, already, these two had grown close. Wang Fang had wanted to go to the city. However, he was always working at the castle.
“Hmmm, well, if you promise not to tell your mother, I will take you out. She was hoping I’d take her first.”
The door creaked open as Wang Fang smiled. He had a petal in his hand from the flower of potential. He, for some reason, had a feeling he might need it when they were outside, and he also knew his trial dad’s schedule. Every morning they both woke up at the same time, and today Wang Fang decided to wake up even earlier to catch him before he left.
They laughed together as they walked out from the castle.
And, as always, there was always a driver ready to move the carriage.
Wang Fang and Chun Da left together in the carriage a few minutes later. They had to cross a bridge and go past the academy before they arrived in the heart of town.
.
Royal Market District, Sanctuary Market
Wang Fang and Chun Da excited the carriage as their driver yawned waving them off.
They walked forward into sanctuary as a lot of women dressed in the pope’s garbs sold sacred goods. These items usually helped boost cultivation. However, there was also cultivation manuals, holy weapons, and demon cores from the forests surrounding the city.
The Pope was one of the protectors of the land, and apparently had an extremely beautiful daughter. The demons apparently tried to kidnap her every year. However, there was also the assassins who desired her from the wood outposts.
Basically, she was born a heart force cultivator, meaning her heart was exceptionally pure and valuable, and the king demons in this world wanted it as an offering. There were many demon sects who worshiped higher powers from other worlds. This girl was one of the top targets! Yet, the pope was also exceptionally strong as were his cultivators.
His cultivators were known as the Holy Crescent guard. Every day hundreds would stand on top of the sharp castle of the pope while the others protected the pope’s markets and trading posts. The merchants who traveled the roads, and even the peddlers who sold news were thankful for these men.
.
“So, we are today princess. However, are you sure your father is alright with this?”
Yang Helea, a beautiful teenage princess, laughed. “My father is alright as long as there is guards in the sky. It’s not like we could get in trouble in a commoner’s market.”
Her maid shook her head before she lightly hit her arm. “Hmm, If some of these strong men heard that, they might try and steal you princess! This is still in the royal side of the city! We’ve still not crossed the second bridge.”
Regardless, Yang Helea lived in the palatial province with the pope and to her it felt extremely daring coming to Sanctuary Market.
The city was divided into three parts with two rivers dividing the territory. If one was an imperial scholar, or a noble, they’d usually live in the north with the king. However, the further south you went the lower the class.
Such things were common in these cities. Usually, if you were someone poor you’d be in the fields or begging in the south. However, Yang Helea had never experienced poverty. Her maid, the one who’d been raised to tend to her, was just as unfamiliar about the south zone.
“Well, we’re here for a reason right,” Yang Helea said as she walked over to one of the stalls. “We need to get my dad a present for his birthday,”
Her maid, Lin Jai, nodded as she looked at the stalls. “Yes, let’s make sure he doesn’t lose you to any of these men here. Keep your guard up princess.”
Yang Helea sighed as she found herself looking through the men in the crowd. It was horrible that she had to be so careful.
.
A few feet away from her in one of the stalls.
Wang Fang put a petal into his mouth as he browsed through some antique tomes. One of these tomes, just a moment ago, particularly caught his eye. It seemed to be some sort of manual. However, the pages were all torn.
The petal entered his mouth before he turned the pages.
The book seemed to be restored a second later. He felt an extremely exquisite feeling entering his body!
“So, does this mean these petals can decipher objects as well as make it easier to learn,” he thought.
He put the book down before he began to hear some noises.
“Stop them! They have the princess!”
Lin Jai jumped from wall to wall kicking up dirt as she flicked herself from building to building. A girl with a black bag around her head was in their hands.
“Ha, you’re going to make a great sacrifice! Let’s just make sure we don’t have to kill you till we get there?”
The man shoved his knife a little bit further into the girl’s neck. She screamed for help hoping someone would come. However, for ten seconds now she’d been as blind as a bat.
The next moment, however, Wang Fang activated his new skill.
1st chapter of the week!
I’m thinking of making 4 chapters a week.
However, depending on the voting this could change.
