The God Virus - Chapter 363: A Mother, A Hero (6)
‘Hmm, where am I?’ As her eyelashes fluttered open, Hu Yuexin was faced with this question which was confusing her to no ends, above her, an unfamiliar white ceiling forcing her to be certain that she wasn’t in her own wrecked and small rented cottage at the moment.
‘Why am I waking up here and not on my bed?’ She questioned again while doubting the entire situation.
It wasn’t until she looked around and her eyes fell upon the familiar face of the otherworldly beguiling man when waves of memories invaded her brain as a realization hit her!
A realization that was full of horrific memories of her child passing out in her embrace while she desperately tried defending her son and herself from the abuses of that ruthless animal and eventually stabbing him and calling the charming man before her.
“M-my baby! Wh-where’s my baby?” She vocalized gathering every bit of strength she had all over her body. She was trying to scream that question. But unfortunately, due to her being too weak, it wasn’t near the level of being counted as a scream.
“Calm down, your son’s fine for now. He’s already being treated under the most premium level of this hospital.” Softly grabbing her exquisite yet bruised hand which was currently ice-cold due to the external liquid that had entered her body from the IV drips, Virus reported.
Hearing his reassurance, Hu Yuexin seemed to calm down by a lot as she threw another inquiry at him, “How’s his condition? Is it dangerous? He’ll live right?”
Chuckling at her anxious expression, Virus said, “Don’t worry. He’s really fine for now. Fortunately, he’s a strong kid.”
Relieved by the news, taking on her most sincere tone, she didn’t forget to thank him, “Thank you for saving my son. Really. I owe you the world.”
Taking an overall glimpse of her bruised body and face, Virus phrased, “Sure, now, enough about your son, how are ‘you’ feeling? What happened to you? Why were you in the middle of nowhere with your son alone?”
Hearing the inquiry, turning toward the ceiling, Hu Yuexin turned quiet for a few seconds before her face paled abruptly. Soon, tears began to drip from the corners of her eyes as she uttered in both despair and grief, “H-he… he took the Red-Crystal… sob… and then… h-he… he tried taking me somewhere to… rape me. Sob, he took the only thing that could’ve helped my son. My, sob, poor child…”
“Who?! Tell me his name.”
And came the anticipated response, “F-Fan Tong.”
“I see.”
Simultaneously, in another ward inside the same hospital, a fly was buzzing above Fan Tong’s bed. Now what made this housefly worth mentioning was its particular eyes which were exuding immeasurable intelligence. Obviously, that intelligence belonged to no one else other than Virus.
Anyhow, after examining Fan Tong’s stabbed leg, looking at the wounded beauty in front of him, Virus thought, ‘We have a bewitching savage here.’
Next, shaking his head at the amusing sight, he didn’t bother himself with Fan Tong for now.
Meanwhile, after going through her initial state of fear regarding the entire situation, the Chinese beauty’s eyes began to be filled with resentment, and a couple of seconds later, gnashing her teeth in deep hatred, she murmured, “I’m gonna kill him.”
“Woah, calm down, little beast. You’re too weak to do anything about this injustice done to you or your son right now. You’ll just be sending yourself to your death if you try anything funny.” Looking at that light of darkness flickering within her pupils, Virus knew she was dead serious. She was going to murder him in case she ever had the chance to.
If this injustice was done to her alone, she would’ve been too horrified to act, but now that someone had hurt her child, she had lost all reason.
But gazing into those eyes filled with hatred and wrath, strangely, Virus seemed satisfied with her reaction. As if this was what he had been desiring to see from her.
‘Those eyes of hers… interesting. Fan Tong, you’ve just sparkled the resentment of a woman. Oh… no, let me rephrase that… the resentment of a mother!’ At the same time, he proclaimed outwardly, “Just calm down and think rationally, I mean… if you die, who’s going to take care of your son?”
Just as expected, Hu Yuexin started calming down at the mere mention of her one and only son. She couldn’t imagine leaving her son alone in this cruel world.
Afterward, feeling extremely powerless and weak, turning toward Virus with her wet eyes, she queried, “What do I do then?” She was feeling so wronged for her child that she was having a hard time breathing.
“Do you want my help?” Mouthed Virus, looking forward to her answer, “Since you literally agreed to be a slave to my every wish, you just need to utter the words and I’ll handle the problem at the snap of my fingers,” raising his fingers, he added further, “I mean… I’m really protective of my possessions, you know? Slaves included in the list.”
“Who’s your slave!” Yelled the Chinese beauty speechlessly, “I never said I’ll be your slave!”
“Haha… you did, you agreed to be whatever I want you to be… meaning I just need to say… be my slave, hihihihi…” At the end of his sentence, an eerie laugh reverberated within the ward, sending shivers down to the spine of anyone who was hearing it.
Hu Yuexin too, got goosebumps at the mere sound of his creepy laugh, not knowing how to react anymore.
And regarding his absurd claims, of course, she assumed he was just joking around.
But… was he?
Noticing that his tease had been a great success as her mood had been uplifted somewhat, Virus decided to get serious and asked, “So, what do you say, do you need my help?”
Hearing this question, turning rather solemn, she concluded, ‘You’ve already helped me with the Red-Crystal, so how can I request your assistance again? I’m not that shameless. Everything’s my fault and I need to take care of my problems myself or die trying.’
‘If only I was an Abnormal myself…’
