The God Virus - Chapter 377: A Top Guardian!
However, for some unknown reasons, the moment he pushed the energy pumped up within his twelfth pathway to the first, as if it was the most natural process to ever exist, a threshold seemed to have been broken through while it smoothly flowed into the first one. As simple as that.
Hua~ Hua~
At the same time, within his Pathways, as if the world’s laws themselves had just descended upon them, the countless motes of energy started to go wild as they entered an innate process of transformation.
They were going through a qualitative change.
The entire process only took around a few seconds before it stopped completely. However, what was needed to happen had already happened in these few moments as Virus had successfully entered the domain of Liberation.
The First Level of Liberation!
He could be now assumed to have just gone through the doorstep of the 1st level of the Liberation stage as he had successfully achieved the early 1st Level of the said stage.
By now, not even a single minute had gone by, which was a lot less than the time Virus had requested of the red-head Guardian, Atish.
At this point, Atish’s forehead was already covered in droplets of sweat as she was giving it all while focusing to keep the Kraken beast locked up in his place. But seeing how pale she looked, it was clear that she was already on the very verge of her absolute limit.
Therefore, not delaying even a single nanosecond, promptly opening his eyes, Virus grabbed the hilt of his dark longsword and at last rose to his feet once again. “You did a good job. Leave the rest to me.”
After these simple words of comfort, his eyes were already shrouded in the eternal darkness of ice as he looked at the monster before him that frigidly.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, watching Virus act this way, Atish was so lost that she didn’t how to feel anymore. ‘You just sat there for a minute and now you say you’ll handle the rest?! How? Is this a joke to him? Or perhaps did he lose his mind?!’
‘Sigh, I really hope that’s not the case… because that would be the end of me and many other people in the city…’
“Are you sure you can kill it now? You just sat there and now-” With her brows creased, Atish queried. She was extremely worried about the unfortunate outcome that was awaiting them.
Nonetheless, Virus’s lips didn’t part from one another at all as he simply guided and concentrated all of his now somewhat transformed internal energy on both his legs and arms.
If a cultivator looked closely enough, however, he or she would notice that the internal energy still couldn’t leave and be released from any part of his body. They were still caged within the perimeter of his physique.
Furthermore, without the notice of nearly anyone, a helicopter had also long since appeared in the sky above as a cameraman was filming the incidents below passionately. Apparently, he was broadcasting the scene live to the rest of the world.
On the other side, noticing Virus standing up, the Plant Kraken’s attention was once again drawn to the person who had chopped off one of its beloved tentacles as rage began to boil once more within its slightly sentient eyes.
Truthfully, the thought of losing one of its precious tentacles had long made its fury reach the absolute peak as it now wanted nothing but to swallow Virus and everyone else in the area whole.
And seeing its eyes focused on himself again, Virus started walking in its direction silently.
This made the tentacle monster look forward to the moment when Virus would enter the fire wall, to the possible domain of its reach, in contempt.
Still, Virus didn’t appear to be bothered by this at all as he merely continued on his path forward.
Soon, he was at last at the absolute border of the creature’s reach as he took the final step… forward.
Immediately, the savageness within the monster’s eyes seemed to have been amplified by tenfold as three of its tentacles were promptly shot forward in order to immediately squash him into a meat patty.
Watching the incoming tentacles from every direction, however, Virus simply watched them get closer and closer until at last, it was just a single meter away from him.
And it was precisely in this very moment, when all of a sudden, to the eyes of Atish who was watching from the sidelines desperately, Virus’s figure seemed to have vanished with a puff.
This instantly made her eyes go wide open as she could only stare in Virus’ previous spot in absolute disbelief and shock.
‘W-where did he go?’ Just as this notion had gone through her head, a silhouette briefly took shape beside the creature as it was soon followed by the fall of a tentacle and a shower of green blood that drenched the shadow within itself.
ROAAAAR~
The next instant, the grief-stricken cry of the tentacle monster reverberated around the area much to the stupefaction of everyone present there.
Just as she had caught the sight of Virus’s body, however, it disappeared once more as it was also followed by the fall of another tentacle of the Plant Kraken.
HOWWL!
Now, the monster’s speed was clearly inferior compared to the upgraded Virus. The situation had been successfully reversed as the odds were totally on Virus’ side.
In the meantime, catching the sight of the third tentacle falling, still as expressionless as ever, Virus jumped and appeared beside another tentacle before slashing it just like a knife cutting through butter.
Successively, the fifth and the sixth tentacles dropped on the floor with a bang!
Watching the now pathetic Plant Kraken with only two tentacles remaining, Virus charged beside it as he kicked it with all his might, forcing the creature to fall.
Bam~
Its condition was so bad that it could no longer even stand back up.
Meanwhile, unconsciously, all those who were viewing this terrifying sight of the massacre were holding their breaths in absolute dread.
“W-who is that? How can he be so strong? The camera can’t even catch a sight of his shadow!!!” Said one of the viewers who was watching this scene of slaughter with a friend of his.
“I-I don’t know… but whoever he is… H-he’s definitely a top Guardian!” Responded his friend whose jaw had long since dropped on the floor.
