What’s it like being friends with a goddess?
On the peaceful road of the small town, there walked one girl with her eyes held shut, led by a slightly taller girl by the hand. From time to time, one of those girls would then whisper, “There are steps in front of you, so be careful, alright?”
So all I could do was stand beside her and look on while she did her thing. Plus, since the scrambled eggs and tomatoes made by my goddess was the best I’ve ever eaten, I’ll share some tips from what I could understand, so if you guys saw my posted pics and got hungry, you can just make it yourself.
The biggest was the size of a soybean, the smallest was the size of sesame seed and the smallest of the small were two and and a half. This is part of a slogan for a candy advertisement. The candy looks like little seeds stuck together in the shape of a raspberries. The candy is “清嘴小麻子” and there’s a pimple joke in the name, and the ad, because 小麻子: Xiao Mazi, can mean little seeds and pockmarks (and maybe child too, with a reference for hemp seeds tossed in). [] 旺旺雪饼: Want Want Snow Crackers (Shelly Senbei/Rice crackers) is a Japanese styled snack sold from Taiwanese company that now operates in China. They sell internationally so you could and probably came across it at some point. Click for a pick of this too.[]anasi [your slightly grumpy translator]: yeah… you can’t get three in one shot like the original, I like sleep, eve though it doesn’t seem to like me much. Anyhow, the titles for the next few chapters are just counters for the multiple daily updates in the original. Oh, and the food pic in the beginning was an add-in from me and not present in the original.
Yu Xiaoya’s reply:
Xiaoya: “Huh?”
Xiaoya at that moment didn’t want to refuse. She didn’t want to refuse a gift from a friend.
Seeing this, Lu Xiaobei released the hand she had hindered, continued walking, and further went on to say, “You can keep your eyes closed as you walk, alright? I’ll just lead the way.”
To this very day, the world of the goddess, was something Xiaoya still could not fathom.
“No, not really. It’s just, when I’m sleepy from the self-study class, as soon as Xiangyi speaks I sober up right away.”
Yu Xiaoya’s reply:
Anyhow, on the topic of my goddess’ looks… Well, first I have to explain to you guys’ that my goddess isn’t one chosen and recognised on my part, but is someone recognised as a proper campus flower level beauty by my entire school. So on a ten point scale, where your average passer-by was a four and celebrities were at an eight, my goddess would get nine points, with one point subtracted only because she had yet to reach the peak of her beauty.
You know, when winter camp first started, I felt homesick more than usual. But after being fed by my goddess, I seem to have enjoyed myself to point where I forgot all about that…

Lu Xiaobei grabbed her free hand to stop her before she could, however, saying: “Don’t rub them. Your hands are dirty, so if you rub your eyes it’ll end up being uncomfortable. So how about you just close them instead.”
She was never actually an introverted girl by nature, it was just a case of the sand covering up the brilliance of the gem she was hiding below, or an instance of dark clouds which temporarily blocked the soft light of the glorious moon. So maybe one day, the time would come where there would be someone to dust away those grains, or maybe one day, the time would come, where there would be someone to disperse those hindering clouds. And at that time they would reveal beneath them a most beautiful youth who could now be seen.
“No, not really. It’s just, when I’m sleepy from the self-study class, as soon as Xiangyi speaks I sober up right away.”

“Do you not like it?” Lu Xiaobei asked.

Xiaoya: “But why, though?”
The sky was grey and misty, the only strips of blue to be seen lying far in the distance. So while walking under a large tree or a below the street lights, drops of water would sprinkle, landing on your head.
Xiaoya at that moment didn’t want to refuse. She didn’t want to refuse a gift from a friend.
I’m afraid some of you online who are familiar will recognise her, and it won’t be good to say too much. So despite a lot of you calling for exclusive photos of her, I don’t have any photos of my goddess, nor do I have the right to post pictures of her.

Lu Xiaobei’s fingers carried leftover remnants of warmth from her just completed bath, while the faint scent of her shower gel could still be sensed from her body. Xiaoya, who was sitting on her bed, at that moment Lu Xiaobei was looking down at her, honestly thought that the bathroom door must’ve probably been left open and that had led to the hot air there coming out. Because all she could feel right as Lu Xiaobei was looking down at her, was the temperature of her face grow hot.
“Lu Xiaobei!”
Xiaoya: Crap! Why the heck did I say exactly what’s in my heart?
Anyway, last night’s dinner was scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and stewed chicken with mushrooms. *posts pic*

Hearing this, Xiaoya replied tersely: “You hurting me like this is only worth something with spice?”
Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiaoya and chuckled, since there was something that girl may not have noticed herself. But when she was in front of Lu Xiaobei, she acted more and more wilfully. As it appears she was simply a cautious little creature, one who would circle her territory for a couple of days until the time was right, before finally taking off her hard outer shell when she was willing to expose her soft belly to the sun.

“It was an accident, okay? I didn’t know they would misunderstand.” Lu Xiaobei explained, adding, “Alright, after we’re done printing your files, how about I buy you dinner? You want something spicy and hot?”
Lu Xiaobei laughed, then asked, “Is it that terrible?”

Lu Xiaobei said nothing more, only taking Xiaoya by the hand then leading her away from the building.
It’s super rare for me to take a picture before I eat, you know! Plus, it’s a bit late right now, so if you see me updating around this time, just think of me as newspaper head office, and I’m sending you some juicy scoops.

Aw… How can there be such a deep love between sisters!
Yesterday, while my goddess was busy in the kitchen, I wanted to go give her a hand. However, all I got for trying was not just my goddess refusing to let my hand touch cold water, but I also got forbidden from cutting so much as a tomato, with her then saying: “Watching you cut vegetables makes my heart tremble to the core.”
Despite all this, she still didn’t need any time to seriously think it over before answering Lu Xiaobei’s question, saying, “Very easy to get along with! Incredibly easy! It’s actually so incredibly easy that I’m a bit worried about losing it afterwards.”
“Um… no reason actually.” Xiaoya then continued, “My mom just asked me the usual stuff like if I’m adjusting well, and whether my roommate was easy to get along with.” This happiness was actually because she could talk about her goddess with others online, though. But Xiaoya didn’t say this out loud, taking such a thing as being her little secret instead.

The tomatoes must first be scalded in hot water for two minutes, then taken out so you can now peel the skins off easily. Afterwards, you cut up the tomatoes, then toss them in the pan and stir fry them until the juices start to come out, at which point, you take out the the tomato chunks and let the sauce flow into the bottom of the pan. Now add some oil, beat the eggs then add a pinch of salt and some sugar (because my taste lean on the sweet side), then add back in your tomato chunks. Lastly, after it cooks, just sprinkle with scallions.

After I go back home, I’m so going to give my mom my goddess’ recipe. My mom usually beats the eggs first, but it doesn’t taste as delicious as my goddess’ version at all.
“Tomorrow, we’ll go to the supermarket and buy you some Want Want Rice Crackers while we’re in town, okay?” Seeing the confusion in Xiaoya’s eyes, Lu Xiaobei added, “It’s a snack you’ll never get tired of even though it’s commonplace.”
This scene once witnessed, caused the older aunties, who were well accustomed to the fickleness of life, to not help themselves from having their hearts being move, and the corners of their eyes to redden with delight.

Xiaoya thought it was amusing, and so listened to her words, keeping her eyes properly shut.

Lu Xiaobei lifted her brow, then hooked a finger under Xiaoya’s chin, allowing the younger girl’s head to slightly lift, before asking, “So is this roommate of yours easy to get along with?”
Lu Xiaobei then replied, “Well, that’s because it’s the last day of the month, so you can just eat whatever you want.”
“I thought I was going to eat a feast today, but you two are going to go off in your own little world instead.” While Xiangyi was wailing, Lu Xiaobei and Xiaoya left the classroom.

Xiaoya didn’t understand it until Lu Xiaobei reminded her carefully that there were steps.

Xiaoya’s gaze fell on the trees lining the road sides while they were walking, the grove speckled in shades of withered yellows and greens. She then felt her eyes grow tingly, a sense of fatigue soon welling, and causing her arms to lift as she attempted to rub her eyes for relief.

Rubbing the goose bumps over her body, Xiaoya then said, “Xiangyi’s voice is really sweet sounding, but when she’s mad, it seriously sounds like one from a kid acting spoiled.” This was because Xiaoya had never met a girl with a baby voice before.
“Lu Xiaobei!”
Xiaoya’s face had turned white in anger, and the reason for that turned out to be on account of her feeling her eyes were no longer tingling a little while ago, and what she witnessed when she opened them to see. She saw there were now a lot of people around her, all looking her way. Some doing so offhandedly, while others were more direct. With them only turning away in surprise when they noticed that her gaze meeting theirs.

Lu Xiaobei moved her fingers to rub against Xiaoya’s cheeks, caressing one pimple after another, the little mounds all rushing to be burrowed under the goddess’ fingers. The biggest was the size of a soybean, the small ones were as big as a sesame seed, and the smallest of the small were two and and a half tael.[1]
For a long time, there was no sound from behind her, and the hand holding hers gave a slight struggle to break free. It was only a while after that Lu Xiaobei had realised that Xiaoya had called her Lu Xiaobei, and not by her moniker, Captain, as she usually had.

How are those sentences even remotely related to one another? Xiaoya thought about it for a really long time but still couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

Xiaoya thought it was amusing, and so listened to her words, keeping her eyes properly shut.
Lu Xiaobei then replied, “Well, that’s because it’s the last day of the month, so you can just eat whatever you want.”
Hearing this, Xiaoya replied tersely: “You hurting me like this is only worth something with spice?”
Lu Xiaobei grabbed her free hand to stop her before she could, however, saying: “Don’t rub them. Your hands are dirty, so if you rub your eyes it’ll end up being uncomfortable. So how about you just close them instead.”
To this very day, the world of the goddess, was something Xiaoya still could not fathom.
A bad feeling took over Xiaoya’s heart, but Lu Xiaobei’s next words soon diverted her attention, “I’ll also give you a gift later.”
The author has something to say: There might be three updates today. Thank you for your support.
Those tones… Those attitudes… She was not blind!
“I thought I was going to eat a feast today, but you two are going to go off in your own little world instead.” While Xiangyi was wailing, Lu Xiaobei and Xiaoya left the classroom.

Xiaoya: “Huh?”

Xiaoya didn’t understand it until Lu Xiaobei reminded her carefully that there were steps.

I’m back!! Thanks for all the follows and likes, everybody. I’ve never gotten so many likes before.
A smile that hinted of mystery was worn on Lu Xiaobei’s face, as she then slyly replied, “Because from now on, the one who’ll set your menu will be me.”
Xiaoya then corrected, “No, it’s actually cute. But maybe after hearing it for a long time, I’ll manage to get used to it.”
Rubbing the goose bumps over her body, Xiaoya then said, “Xiangyi’s voice is really sweet sounding, but when she’s mad, it seriously sounds like one from a kid acting spoiled.” This was because Xiaoya had never met a girl with a baby voice before.
“I thought I was going to eat a feast today, but you two are going to go off in your own little world instead.” While Xiangyi was wailing, Lu Xiaobei and Xiaoya left the classroom.
Seeing this, Lu Xiaobei released the hand she had hindered, continued walking, and further went on to say, “You can keep your eyes closed as you walk, alright? I’ll just lead the way.”
“So you don’t need to worry about losing anything afterwards.”
Lu Xiaobei grabbed her free hand to stop her before she could, however, saying: “Don’t rub them. Your hands are dirty, so if you rub your eyes it’ll end up being uncomfortable. So how about you just close them instead.”
“I thought I was going to eat a feast today, but you two are going to go off in your own little world instead.” While Xiangyi was wailing, Lu Xiaobei and Xiaoya left the classroom.
“Do you not like it?” Lu Xiaobei asked.
Lu Xiaobei moved her fingers to rub against Xiaoya’s cheeks, caressing one pimple after another, the little mounds all rushing to be burrowed under the goddess’ fingers. The biggest was the size of a soybean, the small ones were as big as a sesame seed, and the smallest of the small were two and and a half tael.

Lu Xiaobei then replied, “Well, that’s because it’s the last day of the month, so you can just eat whatever you want.”
For a long time, there was no sound from behind her, and the hand holding hers gave a slight struggle to break free. It was only a while after that Lu Xiaobei had realised that Xiaoya had called her Lu Xiaobei, and not by her moniker, Captain, as she usually had.
—— This dividing line is me being utterly enchanted by my goddess ——

But Xiaoya didn’t say this out loud, taking such a thing as being her little secret instead.
“No, not really. It’s just, when I’m sleepy from the self-study class, as soon as Xiangyi speaks I sober up right away.”

Lu Xiaobei laughed, then asked, “Is it that terrible?”
Xiaoya: ???
Yu Xiaoya’s reply:
Despite all this, she still didn’t need any time to seriously think it over before answering Lu Xiaobei’s question, saying, “Very easy to get along with! Incredibly easy! It’s actually so incredibly easy that I’m a bit worried about losing it afterwards.”
Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiaoya and chuckled, since there was something that girl may not have noticed herself. But when she was in front of Lu Xiaobei, she acted more and more wilfully. To this very day, the world of the goddess, was something Xiaoya still could not fathom.
When Lu Xiaobei came out from the bathroom, she just happened to catch Xiaoya giggling to herself while holding the phone, and so asked, “Did you call your family or something? Why are you so happy?”
Lu Xiaobei seeming to be fearful of troubling the one behind her, whispered, “It’s okay, we’re almost there.”
Xiaoya then corrected, “No, it’s actually cute. But maybe after hearing it for a long time, I’ll manage to get used to it.”
It’s super rare for me to take a picture before I eat, you know! Plus, it’s a bit late right now, so if you see me updating around this time, just think of me as newspaper head office, and I’m sending you some juicy scoops.
“It was an accident, okay? I didn’t know they would misunderstand.” Lu Xiaobei explained, adding, “Alright, after we’re done printing your files, how about I buy you dinner? You want something spicy and hot?”

After I go back home, I’m so going to give my mom my goddess’ recipe. My mom usually beats the eggs first, but it doesn’t taste as delicious as my goddess’ version at all.
Lu Xiaobei laughed, then asked, “Is it that terrible?”
“Do you not like it?” Lu Xiaobei asked.
Lu Xiaobei then interjected, “A month passes by rather quickly.”
This scene once witnessed, caused the older aunties, who were well accustomed to the fickleness of life, to not help themselves from having their hearts being move, and the corners of their eyes to redden with delight.
A bad feeling took over Xiaoya’s heart, but Lu Xiaobei’s next words soon diverted her attention, “I’ll also give you a gift later.”

Xiaoya at that moment didn’t want to refuse. She didn’t want to refuse a gift from a friend.

Lu Xiaobei said nothing more, only taking Xiaoya by the hand then leading her away from the building.

I’m afraid some of you online who are familiar will recognise her, and it won’t be good to say too much. So despite a lot of you calling for exclusive photos of her, I don’t have any photos of my goddess, nor do I have the right to post pictures of her.
A smile that hinted of mystery was worn on Lu Xiaobei’s face, as she then slyly replied, “Because from now on, the one who’ll set your menu will be me.”

Xiaoya closed her eyes, but felt no real difference after lowering her lids, yet she still simply told her, “Alright.”
Yu Xiaoya’s reply:
Aw… How can there be such a deep love between sisters!
Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiaoya and chuckled, since there was something that girl may not have noticed herself. But when she was in front of Lu Xiaobei, she acted more and more wilfully. What’s it like being friends with a goddess?
Seeing this, Lu Xiaobei released the hand she had hindered, continued walking, and further went on to say, “You can keep your eyes closed as you walk, alright? I’ll just lead the way.”

Xiaoya: Crap! Why the heck did I say exactly what’s in my heart?
Yu Xiaoya’s reply:
“It was an accident, okay? I didn’t know they would misunderstand.” Lu Xiaobei explained, adding, “Alright, after we’re done printing your files, how about I buy you dinner? You want something spicy and hot?”

When Lu Xiaobei came out from the bathroom, she just happened to catch Xiaoya giggling to herself while holding the phone, and so asked, “Did you call your family or something? Why are you so happy?”
Lu Xiaobei laughed, then asked, “Is it that terrible?”
You know, when winter camp first started, I felt homesick more than usual. But after being fed by my goddess, I seem to have enjoyed myself to point where I forgot all about that…
Lu Xiaobei moved her fingers to rub against Xiaoya’s cheeks, caressing one pimple after another, the little mounds all rushing to be burrowed under the goddess’ fingers. The biggest was the size of a soybean, the small ones were as big as a sesame seed, and the smallest of the small were two and and a half tael.
Lu Xiaobei still didn’t turn her head back, however, Xiaoya soon heard her laugh as she then asked, “Did you just realise it?”
The sky was grey and misty, the only strips of blue to be seen lying far in the distance. So while walking under a large tree or a below the street lights, drops of water would sprinkle, landing on your head.
On the peaceful road of the small town, there walked one girl with her eyes held shut, led by a slightly taller girl by the hand. From time to time, one of those girls would then whisper, “There are steps in front of you, so be careful, alright?”

Xiaoya: Crap! Why the heck did I say exactly what’s in my heart?
The tomatoes must first be scalded in hot water for two minutes, then taken out so you can now peel the skins off easily. Afterwards, you cut up the tomatoes, then toss them in the pan and stir fry them until the juices start to come out, at which point, you take out the the tomato chunks and let the sauce flow into the bottom of the pan. Now add some oil, beat the eggs then add a pinch of salt and some sugar (because my taste lean on the sweet side), then add back in your tomato chunks. Lastly, after it cooks, just sprinkle with scallions.

Lu Xiaobei said nothing more, only taking Xiaoya by the hand then leading her away from the building.
Lu Xiaobei seeming to be fearful of troubling the one behind her, whispered, “It’s okay, we’re almost there.”

It’s super rare for me to take a picture before I eat, you know! Plus, it’s a bit late right now, so if you see me updating around this time, just think of me as newspaper head office, and I’m sending you some juicy scoops.
Seeing this, Lu Xiaobei released the hand she had hindered, continued walking, and further went on to say, “You can keep your eyes closed as you walk, alright? I’ll just lead the way.”
For a long time, there was no sound from behind her, and the hand holding hers gave a slight struggle to break free. It was only a while after that Lu Xiaobei had realised that Xiaoya had called her Lu Xiaobei, and not by her moniker, Captain, as she usually had.
Lu Xiaobei laughed, then asked, “Is it that terrible?”
Lu Xiaobei still didn’t turn her head back, however, Xiaoya soon heard her laugh as she then asked, “Did you just realise it?”
On the peaceful road of the small town, there walked one girl with her eyes held shut, led by a slightly taller girl by the hand. From time to time, one of those girls would then whisper, “There are steps in front of you, so be careful, alright?”
Lu Xiaobei still didn’t turn her head back, however, Xiaoya soon heard her laugh as she then asked, “Did you just realise it?”

Xiaoya closed her eyes, but felt no real difference after lowering her lids, yet she still simply told her, “Alright.”
Xiaoya waved her hands, saying, “You don’t have to do that. I don’t need anything.”
“It was an accident, okay? I didn’t know they would misunderstand.” Lu Xiaobei explained, adding, “Alright, after we’re done printing your files, how about I buy you dinner? You want something spicy and hot?”
I’m back!! Thanks for all the follows and likes, everybody. I’ve never gotten so many likes before.

Xiaoya didn’t understand it until Lu Xiaobei reminded her carefully that there were steps.
Xiaoya didn’t understand it until Lu Xiaobei reminded her carefully that there were steps.
As it appears she was simply a cautious little creature, one who would circle her territory for a couple of days until the time was right, before finally taking off her hard outer shell when she was willing to expose her soft belly to the sun.
A bad feeling took over Xiaoya’s heart, but Lu Xiaobei’s next words soon diverted her attention, “I’ll also give you a gift later.”

Those tones… Those attitudes… She was not blind!

Hearing this, Xiaoya replied tersely: “You hurting me like this is only worth something with spice?”

Xiaoya then corrected, “No, it’s actually cute. But maybe after hearing it for a long time, I’ll manage to get used to it.”
Xiaoya: Crap! Why the heck did I say exactly what’s in my heart?

How are those sentences even remotely related to one another? Xiaoya thought about it for a really long time but still couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
Lu Xiaobei grabbed her free hand to stop her before she could, however, saying: “Don’t rub them. Your hands are dirty, so if you rub your eyes it’ll end up being uncomfortable. So how about you just close them instead.”

It’s super rare for me to take a picture before I eat, you know! Plus, it’s a bit late right now, so if you see me updating around this time, just think of me as newspaper head office, and I’m sending you some juicy scoops.

When Lu Xiaobei came out from the bathroom, she just happened to catch Xiaoya giggling to herself while holding the phone, and so asked, “Did you call your family or something? Why are you so happy?”
Xiaoya: ???
Xiaoya: “But why, though?”

The sky was grey and misty, the only strips of blue to be seen lying far in the distance. So while walking under a large tree or a below the street lights, drops of water would sprinkle, landing on your head.

Rubbing the goose bumps over her body, Xiaoya then said, “Xiangyi’s voice is really sweet sounding, but when she’s mad, it seriously sounds like one from a kid acting spoiled.” This was because Xiaoya had never met a girl with a baby voice before.

This scene once witnessed, caused the older aunties, who were well accustomed to the fickleness of life, to not help themselves from having their hearts being move, and the corners of their eyes to redden with delight.
Xiaoya waved her hands, saying, “You don’t have to do that. I don’t need anything.”
Aw… How can there be such a deep love between sisters!
You know, when winter camp first started, I felt homesick more than usual. But after being fed by my goddess, I seem to have enjoyed myself to point where I forgot all about that…
“Do you not like it?” Lu Xiaobei asked.
