The Gods Decree - Chapter 161 Monster
Malnor was quite surprised by the unexpected presence of May who arrived before him.
“May what are you doing here?”
He asked instantly as he saw the five wolves dead with their tongues hanging out of their mouths. Though he has never spoken to her before he knew this was Taf’s girlfriend. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.com for visiting.
He looked around to see if Taf was also around but he was nowhere to be seen. Why was she by her lonesome and how was she this strong?
He questioned in his mind as he watched the icy arrow disappear. Those wolves all were at the eighth demon beast stage.
“Child do you know how hard it is to rear five red-coated wolves. You killed my puppies so your death is a surety..”
Sarabi uttered as she looked at the remains of her demon beasts. She showed more emotion for her fallen demon beasts than the previous underling killed by Malnor’s battle-ax.
“This lady has never killed a human before. I suggest you leave and not be the first, I’m trying to be merciful.”
May calmly spoke seemingly unphased by Sarabi’s threat. She then relieved herself of the golden bow within her hands.
There quietly assessing May, Sarabi didn’t say a word to retort. Obviously this girl was quite strong to kill her pets with such swiftness and from what she could tell it was the same arrow that killed them all.
That took the strength at least of the mid-level ninth stage cultivator. However, this girl was quite young to be so powerful.
If she didn’t see Malnor’s reaction she would have thought there was a third party interference and this girl was not from the Dark Abylis Sect.
Yet from all indication this was indeed the case, that meant somehow they defied the odd rearing a true super genius.
Sarabi now felt the situation had changed somewhat. Out of instinct, she pressed on her communicator trying to get hold of either Drax or Vulture.
Not one of them answered her call. Seeing her action May smiled while uttering,
“Oh not getting anyone, are you? I take it they have passed on by now.
I would love to give you time to reflect however there is a bet to be won. Hell will freeze over before I let that brute win me twice for the day. Now, what option will you give this lady, huh?”
She ended with a smirk.
Its been a long time since someone has gotten under Sarabi’s skin and now May had joined that exclusive list.
Her manner of speaking truly irritated Sarabi who felt she was less than inferior in May’s eyes. As though her death was a certainty if she remained.
Not even Vulture or Drax would dare utter a word of insult in her direction. That was the respect she warranted wherever she went.
Yet a kid dares to shoo her like some stray cattle blocking a pathway. Her killing intent spiked the more she thought of it. Her qi ignited and so too did the other two cultivators at the ninth stage.
“So you have decided death I see? Very well it seems your blood will be on my hands.”
Boom!
The three shot off into the direction of May with Sarabi at the helm calling out…
????Elemental Art(Wind)Razor plains????
Within the activation of Sarabi’s art ripples could be seen in the air and everything touch was sliced apart. Even some droplets of snow formed after May’s intervention were chopped in half.
May who was at the center of the confrontation was quite calm under the circumstances as she weaved through Sarabi’s assault. Not even a single one of her silver hair was touch.
In synchronized fashion, the other two ninth stage launched ice spikes at the dodging May.
“Daring to play with water before me. Very bad idea!”
????Elemental Art(Water) World of Ice????
Her eyes glowed crystal blue and the two looked in sheer horror as not only were they not in control of their attacks but they were bombarded with an even stronger version.
The attacks suddenly changed direction mid-strike now pointed towards them. They ran but no matter where they went all they saw was white with visibility an impossibility. Before…
Zing! Zing!
Their previous attacks now met new targets, them. They were impaled by dozens of shards as blood ran through all orifices.
Seeing the sight May felt a chill course through her veins. There they were struggling to breathe through their pierced lungs.
“I’ll be merciful.”
She uttered seeing their suffering.
????Shatter????
Boom! Boom!
The ice spikes combusted and the two were no more as meat rained with hints of red tainting the pure white snow. Two pouched then made their way to May who discarded them before looking at Sarabi.
May’s actions were so swift Sarabi could not move an inch to offer assistance to the two. It appears their deaths were a certainty the moment they attempted to use the water element.
In May’s eyes, Sarabi saw genuine remorse for her action. Yet her execution was perfect in every way. Even to the small detail of ensuring the pouches were not destroyed.
Puk!
While contemplated she felt a shiver run through her heart. When she looked down there was an arrow made of ice embedded in her chest…
“When did you..?”
Sarabi struggled to speak as May once more discarded her bow within her space stone relieving her art that was in place.
“For a second there your mind drifted from the battle. This created the greatest opening you could have ever given. A battle is decided in milliseconds.
Errors such as yours always lead to deaths. I’ve answered your last question. Now be on your way..
????Shatter????
“Nooooo!”
Boom!
Sarabi was no more as her pouch was grasped in May’s hands. Malnor watched her as not even a hair was out of place, this is a dream isn’t it?
Within a minute she killed Sarabi a peak ninth stage cultivator and her underlings who were also at the ninth stage.
He struggled to his feet as he assessed the young girl looking through her spoils of war.
“Big flower you sure know how to create fireworks. Who says you need the element of fire to create explosions?”
A teasing voice was heard coming from a distance. This startled Malnor who could never forget this young voice.
He looked in the direction of the sound and there he saw Taf walking nonchalantly with his hands behind his head.
“Brute, how did you make it here this quickly?”
May looked around questioning not as surprised as Malnor.
Taf chuckled as he heard her question before replying teasingly,
” I have my means and of course I had to offer some moral support.”
May rolled her eyes at his response that was quite vague. It seems he still had no intention of disclosing his secret. Then she remembered their previous agreement and asked.
“So who was the victor in our little bet?”
Taf rubbed his chin awkwardly as he tallied then abruptly cursing out loud.
” Damn it!”
Which only brought a big grin to May’s face. She was the victor in their bet, how it felt great defeating this man.
Taf could only shake his head knowing the moment he let Drax go he had thrown away his victory. After all, they only truly regarded peak ninth stage as targets.
Malnor watched as the two conversed as if anything that occurred was the norm. He literally pinched himself to see if he was actually dreaming as he initially thought.
“Brother Malnor I see May was right in time to offer assistance.”
Taf smiled as he looked at Malnor who still was lost for words.
Offer assistance? This was simply a one-sided carnage as Sarabi and her men offered the bare minimum in terms of a hindrance.
A chill went through his spine when he thought about something. The incident a mere week ago where his abode had been obliterated.
If May was this strong, what about Taf? If he had dared cross the line, would he be the same as Sarabi right now?
He thanked the Gods he had kept some form of rational that night and most importantly that Taf seemingly saw the lite side of things.
In his mind, everything changed when he looked at the two. It was as though before him were two newly discovered monsters.
While Taf spoke he suddenly looked up in the skies where he saw a sparrow and a white hawk descended.
‘ I see they have finally arrived.”
He uttered before making his way toward May. When the passengers atop the demon beast saw what had occurred below they were no different from Malnor, utterly speechless.
Taf would pay them no heed as he saw May constantly looking at what remained of the bodies of Sarabi and her men.
It did feel quite different killing demon beast compared to cultivators.
” Hey, you gave them the option to leave and they didn’t. If they were in your position they wouldn’t spare you a second glance.”
He tried comforting while he continued,
“This is what I wanted to shield you from initially, the dark parts of being a cultivator. To arrive where we intend there might be millions of corpses creating steps for us to walk on to ascend.
This the way of our world. What we should aim for is not to lose ourselves in the blood and gore.
Let it be me and you however long it takes from now in two chairs rocking, grey from head to toe laughing at what idiots we were in our younger years. ”
Taf held her by the chin as he spoke. He knew it was quite harder for May to take a life than himself.
Though she had put on a brave face it obviously tore her apart within. She then hugged him while squeezing him tight. Then cheekily saying,
“Speak for yourself, I’ll be one hot granny, silver hair and all.”
They both laughed seemingly oblivious to the stares they garnered from all around.
To be continued..
