The Gods Decree - Chapter 165 True Lord
The day had come for the squads of the Dark Abylis Sect to depart from the city of star lights. There were those for which the city left haunting memories that would forever sully their dreams.
For others, a new stratum had been reached as they bathed in the blood of their enemies. A ritual in which all cultivators must be ordained on their path.
“Taf it’s great you decided we departed noon. That dress that I saw yesterday with the yellow sunflowers I can now collect.
According to the store clerk, they were out of stock and the new stock was due to be delivered this morning.”
An excited May was in glee as she expectantly made her way in the direction of a store. Beside her, Taf could only feign as he tried to match her level of anticipation.
However, at that moment he would rather watch paint dry.
One dress she says. Yet he knew if he were to tag along with her the whole store would be that one dress.
May glanced at him knowing fully well what was going through his mind. She then looked to Niesha who was walking with the two with a big broad sword on her back.
“Niesha, would you like to follow me to collect that dress I am dying to have in my possession?”
Niesha’s face lit up as she heard May’s invitation. She swore having her within the squad was the best thing that could possibly have happened. She then quickly replied,
“I would have invited myself if you hadn’t asked.”
Her response only brightened May’s mood as she saw the genuine enthusiasm blossoming on Niesha’s face.
Out of the three, however, Taf was the happiest of the lot. He knew at that moment Niesha was like his divine savior.
“Taf, we’ll meet at the gates. I won’t be long, I promise.”
May said with a smile as both Niesha and herself became engrossed in conversation.
“I saw a blue dress that would truly perfect for you.”
She then addressed the excited Niesha as they hurriedly made their way in the distance.
Taf could only shake his head as he slowly strolled to the exit of the city. As the new leader, he saw it fitting to be one of the first to arrive.
This of course conflicted with his usual actions. However, May ensured he had awoken from early in the morning.
Arriving at the exit from the city he saw an open area that was reserved for the squads’ demon beasts.
Having confined Hammerhead for such a prolonged period, he decided it best to let it have some fresh air for once out of his space stone. This he felt would help in its breakthrough.
When making his way over to Hammerhead he saw something that struck him as quite odd.
There rubbing the wings of his red-feathered eagle was a man of slender build with visible age lines on his face.
The usually feisty Hammerhead contrary to his typical behavior to strangers was inexplicably calm.
“I see you’re a beast tamer friend.”
He uttered to the man who still ran his fingers through Hammerhead’s red and yellow feathers. His words garnered the man’s attention who smiled in response while saying,
“This is your demon beast I assume?”
To this Taf nodded his head in response while eying the stranger before him.
“Quite the exquisite beast. Do you know from where its lineage lies?”
The slender man with a tall physique questioned as he patted Hammerhead’s side.
His inquiry wasn’t surprising to Taf as there were some records that detailed the origin of the red-feathered eagle.
Those who weren’t well-read might be startled by the information. However, he calmly responded to the man’s question.
“If you were to trace all demon beasts back to their ancestral lineage you might find that everyone’s blood comes from an indomitable primordial beast.
For example, the red-feathered eagle is said to be descended from the illustrious golden flamed phoenix.”
Taf’s response startled the man who found it quite interesting that this youth was so knowledgeable. There is a need to delve quite a distance into ancient doctrines to know such information.
“Are you willing to sell it? It’s rare finding a red feathered eagle away from the skies of Braveman’s graveyard. It is of course forbidden land.
Name your price as I am willing to spare no expenses.”
There was a smile on the man’s face as he spoke. In his words, there was a bit of confidence that Taf would not refuse.
“Sir I’ll have to disappoint you as it is not for sale. Take my advice if I were to quote you a price there is no way you could afford it.”
Taf made his stance clear as the man laughed. He at least thought Taf might haggle a bit. Seeing that he offered an open purse. Yet, he just plainly refused without leaving room for negotiation.
“You’re a businessman, my brother would like you. Knowing the value of your asset it would indeed be foolish to sell.”
The man continuously laughed as he spoke while the youth only offered a placid face. In his mind, he could tell this youth was a hard nut to crack.
Still, he patted Hammerhead’s side as he marveled at actually find the beast in Starlight City.
????????????????????
Floating above Starlight City stood a man in all white clothing. If anyone were to look up, he would be hidden due to the blinding sun which masked his presence.
He looked down on his hands which had a purple mark that seemingly dug into his skin as he grimaced.
“Mother for my actions you would disown, while father you would care not one bit. I can imagine you only uttering that I finally did what I needed.”
Benzalo looked down on the city below with pity in his eyes as seeming teardrops fell. He then muttered,
“For all your lost souls I will live a life devoted to honoring your spirits. I promise today will be the last in which blood taints these hands of mine.”
There he floated in silence a bit hesitant. Soon however he seemed determined to see whatever thought he had in his mind through.
His right pawn opened as a small red prism was summoned within its center.
The prism was then suddenly dropped from his pamn below. Like a blanket red blinding light covered the skies of Starlight City as the prism expanded.
????Below????
“Anything for my baby. I bet it’s a boy.”
Cruz 1 was so fascinated with his wife’s stomach, he could not look away.
“Stop staring at it. My poor baby might catch stage fright eight months from now.”
His beautiful glowing wife who was pregnant spoke while laughing at her husband. Still, Cruz could not help but rub her tummy.
Soon however he was drawn out of the perfect world he built in his mind by screams of sheer terror. He looked above as red blinding light cascaded over the skies.
A shadow lingered over the city as the light spread, its bound knew no end.
Soon the light faded somewhat and all he saw was a gigantic prism glowing in red light. It encased the borders of the city within similar to a collector of miniature ships placing them in a glass.
Panic flooded the city of stars with stampedes breaking out on all streets as the citizens became alert to what was currently unfolding.
The greatest panic always occurs when the eyes are telling a story, yet the mind cannot comprehend its meaning.
Seeing his trembling wife Cruz could only hug her before briskly pulling her into a store that sold linen.

He comforted by saying. Yet in his mind, he too was fearful but is there a place for fear when a man needs to protect his family?
????????????????????
Taf was a bit startled at the sudden changes. Seeing the sky filled with red beaming light before forming into a gigantic prism. At that moment he had no clue as to what was actually taking place.
He pressed on his communicator to see if he could possibly get a hold of May but for some reason, he could not get through.
“So it’s begun apparently?”
He heard the man say while rubbing Hammerhead’s feathers in a bid to calm it down. This garnered Taf’s attention as he suspiciously eyed the man.
“There, there.., your master wasn’t wise prior, was he?
From the moment I saw you, you were deemed mine.
However, he will die soon and you’ll have a new master who will ensure your full potential is reached. One who is a true lord.”
Marco’s demeanor changed as a wicked smile graced his face while eying Taf.
