The Gods Decree - Chapter 187 Arosa Zaro Clan
They all stared into the distance making out the wording on the back of Taf’s shirt. Embroidered in gold letters was Sir Mouse.
Soon all pressed on their transmitters as this was news that all must know. They dared not defile the message that was left with it being irrefutable evidence that what they witness was true. Only Shaun hurriedly called for assistance for his brothers, but no one truly cared if they lived or died.
Their previous glamour was now truly diminished as a true starlet had now been found. Through the transmissions, all that was echoed was the name, Sir Mouse.
Unaware of his newfound fame Taf activate the spacial prowess of his space stone vanishing into thin air.
Within the skies of the Dark Abylis Sect was a man in all black robes. His appearance was somewhat strange with a purple mask covered in a smiley face neatly pitted against the surface of his face. Above his head was jet black hair that was slightly hung over his purple mask.
He sped through the skies evidently in a bit of hurry. Soon before him, there was a grand hall of pure white made complete of fine marble. Before long he was within the corridors of the Hall which was filled with servants garbed in all-white attire.
On all walls, there were engraving of huge beast wings but no bodies attached.
“Lord, your humble servant greets you. I presume you are Elder Mousier?”
A woman uttered as she bowed. She was clothed differently from the other servants dressed in all-gold apparel.
Without a word spoken the masked man nodded his head in acknowledgment.
“Very well my lord. Your fellow elders are currently convened within the meeting chambers. The time at which the meeting is to be convened is hurriedly approaching, so I do ask that we make some haste.” The head servant politely uttered.
The two then made their way to a room in which doors were swiftly opened by two female servants who bowed in acknowledgment of their presence.
Within the meeting chambers sat an array of individuals clothed in purple, black and even white attire.
This chamber was different from the one in which Taf and May had their first meeting with the elders when they had arrived at the sect.
Before the chairs were arranged in a spiraling setting, with the lower level elder sitting below as the seating went further back the qi felt became more stifling.
Now however the seating had two different sections. By the ergonomic design, If an outside party were to observe they would arrive at the conclusion that there were two different factions. The previous room was evidently used for a different purpose than this one. for visiting.
Still, status was acknowledged as the lower seating was occupied with those of minor strength in the context of the room.
They all viewed the newcomer with a bit of curiosity as he made his way within the room. He didn’t apparently mind as he acted oblivious to their prying eyes. His mask was quite odd with a smiling face though he exuded a grimy exterior.
Being led by the head servant he was then brought before a female elder who oddly also had a mask on her face. She was attired in white armor with purple petals and also a purple mask. She nodded to the new arrival apparently they were acquaintances.
“You are seated to the right, my lord. Would you like a drink before the meeting is called to order.”
The servant inquired of the elder with a smile as he took his seat returning the nod. It could be seen as the head servant she was well versed in her role ensuring the guest’s needs were seemingly always a priority. In a rustic voice, the man replied.
“I am fine thank you.”
She was then waved away by the man. With a smile, she bowed before leaving him be. Noticeable it was not only the masked man but the woman as well who garnered attention.
Soon all heard a female voice reverberate around the large room.
“Settle down! The Grand Elder has entered the room.”
All eyes turned to an elderly woman who took her time before taking her seat above all within the right section of the room. Coincidentally this was to the side where the masked man and woman sat.
“Meeting has come to order. All proper protocols observed. Before I begin, you might have noticed two new faces have joined the fold.
They are two of my disciples Moussier and Dalia, I had taken them in while I sought to see the world and was quite impressed with what they showed. They have vowed through oaths to the heavens their undying loyalty to the sect.”
After the grand elder words, a few mumblings could be heard coming from the left faction as they observed the two newcomers.
“It seems our old customs are no longer of importance. We apparently accept individuals at a person’s whim. What happened to the due course and the vote of the populous?”
With a bit of satire the man who sat highest to the left send via telepathy directly to the grand elder. He seemed of similar age to the grand elder and apparently didn’t fear her.
One would even think he saw himself at equal footing. However, evidently there was some form of mutual respect among the two as he ensured to speak to her privately.
“It is quite odd you say this ‘Second’ Elder…”
The grand elder dragged her words intentionally as a frown could be seen forming on the second elder’s face. It could be seen he didn’t think highly of this title. The grand elder once more continued,
“From my recollection, it is stipulated with the sect’s doctrine that under special circumstance an elder can be conferred, if there are grounds.
This is given the person bestowing the title has a certain ranking.., and I wonder what that is.”
She ended by saying which had the second elder quiet for a moment before he replied,
“…and what grounds might that be?”
“They have some relation to that masked individual. Given their special relation, I thought it fitting to have persons familiar with our most valuable asset.
Besides, who do you think it was that defeated the two lord realm cultivator within Starlight City, my fellow bag of bones?”
This revelation was quite shocking to the second elder. His gaze then shifted to the two who sat without a word being uttered. He did find it strange the sudden arrival of lord realm cultivators within the vicinity of Starlight City.
It did seem convenient them foiling the plans of those who sought ill-will towards the sect. Now it all made sense as evidently these two were protecting the two teens.
Yet, How did the grand elder have such fortune in gaining such a hand? Though, he felt there was something bizarre about the whole situation.
Still, he had no proof that what the grand elder spoke was untrue. The grand elder then continued,
“Given their previous acts of goodwill towards the sect, Doesn’t it stand to reason by having them within our reigns, well our goal of bringing Taf truly into the fold in the near future might be successful?”
Evidently the second elder still thought the grand elder had a hidden agenda as he sarcastically uttered,
“Sure into the fold. I wonder what faction they will join after this grand plan of yours?”
The grand elder then calmly responded,
“Seems you have some plan of your own based on how distraught you are in your voice, Old Zaro. Care to share?”
Her words were subsequently ignored by the second elder who replied,
“Very well, however, I will like to see for myself the capabilities of your recruits. Seeing is believing after all. This is if you don’t mind that is…”
“Sure.., and how would you like to proceed?” The grand elder responded.
“The old fashion means. I’ll pick a member of my faction to challenge one of them in combat. If I were to win. The handling of the child will then subsequently be transferred into my care?” He uttered
“Plotting as always my old friend I see.., and if my recruit wins. What will I gain then?” replied the grand elder calm as ever as though all were in her hands.
“Whatever the cause that is placed on the table by your Arosa clan within the next century I will champion it without question.”
The second elder then showed his cards as he eagerly awaited her response.
“Surely you jest. Make it two hundred and fifty years and you have yourself a deal.”
His apparent wager was seen as lightweight leading to the grand elder countering with one of her own. This was no short period of time to be at the beckoning of others and surely would stall any thoughts of the progression of his Zaro clan.
Thus the second elder took his time, however, if he were to gain the favour of this child, two hundred and fifty years would be minor compared to the flourishing of the sect and indirectly the Zaro clan. Leading to the Arosa clan’s long reign being but minor in comparison.
While the two had engaged in conversation only a few seconds had passed and all were oblivious to what they had negotiated. Soon the man is purple mask was startled by a voice within his mind…
“I have a proposition for you…”
