The Gods Decree - Chapter 201 Playing With Daggers
Seeing Doan’s action Taf then did the unthinkable stooping down grasping the blade within his hand. This was truly stupid the masses thought. By touching the dagger Doan’s case became facilitated with his fingerprints all over the weapon.
Obvious Doan knew he had all within the grounds scared silly. Hence,no one would dare to bear witness against the act.
Still, if Taf had made an argument that the weapon was not his, there would be grounds for investigation.
After the conclusion of the investigation, adequate proof could possibly have been gathered that his fingerprints were never on the weapon, and he was framed.
With his actions, he simply made a more consequential case for Doan. Some of the older disciples could only shake their heads lamenting his act. Sometimes youth can be your biggest undoing. This child though blessed with talent was quite rash and ignorant.
“This dagger I have found a liking, therefore, I will gladly take. What else of yours should I take, I wonder?”
Taf smiled unbothered by the blood upon the dagger’s blade examining its craftsmanship.
This only simply proved the argument that he was truly a psychopath. What normal thinking person would not care about their well being at a time like this?
Squad Darwin’s members laughed as they saw Doan’s act playing out. They loved to being dream crushers and evidently this Mouse saw himself inevitable. Doan joined them in laughter as he shouted,
“Little fucker what could you possibly take from me?!”
With his words, the crowd ensured to give them room as they were certain a battle was on the way. In the ground Lovren uttered,
“Here we go again.”
It is not often when Lovren speaks that others concurred with his argument, but this was the exception. All the other seven around could only shake their heads for seeing the likely out.
“I have a few ideas.”
Taf still pleasantly smiled as Doan qi slowly ignited. He was not infuriated by Taf’s words only seeking to show him the difference between the two. Letting him know how much of an insect he truly was in comparison.
Before long his qi became stifling to any who wasn’t at the peak of the Ninth qi realm. Even Malnor, Niesha, Selena, and Malgrey had to take a further step back. It seems that Doan was not far from becoming a full circle qi realm.
This was the difference between individuals within the top hundred and those even one below.
No wonder they looked down on Taf even after he decimated the twins. Still, Doan became a bit puzzled even with all the crowded be awed by his strength.
This Mouse or whatever he liked to be called should be showing signs of a struggle at least against his overbearing.
His squadmates also saw the signs that there was something off about the scenario as Darwin remained quiet.
“So this is your strength.., interesting. No wonder you are so proud. Tell you what, I’ll continue your good work.”
Taf still maintain his smile as he played with the dagger in his hand before uttering,
Elemental Art (Earth) Transmutation
Boom!
He stamped his feet on the ground causing it to crumble from its firm hardened state. Soon all saw what remained turning into a huge dust cloud surrounding the two. Inside no one could see what was unfolding.
“What is he doing? Hiding as he seeks a means to counter Doan’s strength?”
A female watcher who was an earth element specialist questioned. This was a tactic used by squads when they sought to retreat from an enemy.
“That could be the only possible reason. Yet this will be of no help against someone of Doan’s strength. He is just postponing the inevitable ” Her squad captain responded.
Most onlookers shared his sentiments but the previously-confident Darwin felt some unease as he saw the dust cloud. This guy was strong, really strong.
Darwin thought as he visualized what unfolded prior to the activation of his art. The seeming ease to which Taf spoke while under Doan ignited qi was not possible for someone of lower cultivation.
“Shit!”
He yelled realizing things had gotten out of his spare of control. He then readied to launch himself in the midst of the battle which surprised the onlookers. They became even more intrigued as it seems there was, even more, meaning to the battle.
Soon a small cry was heard coming from the dust as all remained quiet.
“Please forgive I can’t take anymore!”
Frighteningly, it was the previously overbearing Doan whimpery like a toddler who had received some lashing. Then they heard a voice void of any seeming sympathy,
“I went through the strain of writing a letter. Yet did anyone read it? See this is the problem with kids today, no one reads. Now I did promise to bestow a fate worse than my ‘friends’ the twins.”
Mouths became aghast as they listened and without waiting for another second Darwin and his squad plunged themselves into the nucleus of the dust clouds. Yet they heard a voice,
“One more step and I’ll gut him like a fish.”
When the dust cleared there was only silence as a youth could be seen stooped down over a body which was nearly naked with gashes all over it oozing blood.
Its ligaments were torn as a pool of blood-soaked through the ground dust-filled ground.
Noticeably Taf’s right hand was on the dagger which dripped blood while being placed into the frightened Doan’s mouth.
Surrounding him were weapons drawn by the members of squad Darwin a millimeters away from his throat, skull, and spine.
Yet he remained calm as though all was in his sphere of control.
“So what will it be?” Taf uttered with a smile that sent chills to all who saw. He was merciless in his battle with Doan.
Was that even a battle?
It was just sheer carnage without Doan putting up resistance, and yet he still seemed so casual with his attitude.
All members of the squad Darwin became bloodthirsty seeing the state of their compatriot as their weapons violently shook. How they wished they could cleave this bastard into bits.
“Let’s go!”
Darwin order being the only one remaining who held some composure. He looked hatefully at Taf as though it was inevitable he would be but a corpse.
“I hope to meet you at the tournament.”
With obvious threatening undertones is his voice Darwin stated as his underling sought to get the half-dead Doan to his feet. He had lost a significant about of blood from the hundreds of cuts from the dagger.
” Fellow If I were you, i wouldn’t wish that upon myself,” Taf casually responded as he played with a space ring in his left hand. Obviously without care for Doan threats of retribution.
All watched as Squad Darwin made their exit. Who knew this would be the case merely five minutes prior?
Fingers became fidgety while they pressed on their transmitters. Once again the Mouse had caused a ruckus. How strong was this kid? Where did he come from to be able to rank within the top one hundred at such an age?
With Doan’s defeat, it was evident no one below his ranking was a match for this teen who called himself Sir Mouse.
The crowds ensured to keep their distance, yet ever move that Taf made was seen by them.
He then made his way to a group that unlike the masses had stayed in close proximity.
These persons were Ava, Selena, Malnor, and Squad Malgrey who were the ones in conflict with Squad Darwin.
Did they not see what unfolded to dare be in such close distance to this monster?
Yet even though Taf with each step became closer, no one in the group even budged. One even dared to speak directly to him.
“Nearly a month being a recluse and the very day you’re back once more the center of attention.” Malgrey laughed as he patted Taf’s back evidently quite joyful seeing him.
“I am but a moth to a flame, chaos is my calling squad captain.” Taf grinned as he greeted the party of eight causing an uproar amongst the gathered three star ranked squads.
