The Gods Decree - Chapter 222 Aspirations Grievance Clou
With Malnor’s words, all three took another glance at Niesha who currently was wiping her blade ignoring the curses of the victims.
In their recollection, she was always so reserved about her ability when all along they could be bested in a manner of seconds.
Squad Malgrey was constantly seen as a bit of a joke by most fellow three-star squads.
Yet all along they had such a prodigy. This squad was truly blessed to receive talent it seems.
“Why did she keep her strength hidden?” Selena inquired, saying out loud what the others were thinking.
“Well, Niesha’s aim has always been the top spot within the tournament,” Malgrey informed the three who curiously listened.
“Top spot. What does that have to do with hiding her strength?” Malnor responded
Seeing their curious gazes with eagerness for answers Malgrey could only –
Sigh!
Truthfully he knew there was a need to delve deeper into Niesha’s background or the questions will be unending.
Malgrey then went on to disclose the following:
The Oregi Clan is very small within the Fu Province. So it can be imagined their ecstasy when such a genius was bestowed by the heavens.
They had envisioned a prosperous future for Niesha. The heights of her potential they knew were far from what they could have thought up.
One thing was for certain however was that there would come a day where she propels the clan to heights never imagined.
Yet this was not in line with the plans Niesha had for herself. She didn’t want to be buckled down in a clan for the rest of her life.
Yes, she loved her clan but they stifled her.
In her eyes, she had so much potential to be more than what they wanted.
This, of course, infuriated the elders. They didn’t try to see things from her perspective. Being constantly stuck in their ways.
Which was understandable as similar to a sect all actions are for the betterment of the overall clan.
Nevertheless, they knew that in time none of them would have any hopes of intimidating her.
Thus they had an agreement. If Niesha were to win the Dark Abylis tournament before her twentieth birthday.
Then she could decide her own destiny gaining their full support.
In this regard, the clan would flourish having caught the eyes of the Dak Abylis sect. After all, the benefits of rearing such a genius would belong to them.
Yet, if she were to fail. The moment Niesha arrives within the Lord realm she is bounded to the clan.
Now the answer as to why she hid her strength is quite simple.
Not only was it a goal to catch the eyes of our Dark Abylis sect but an even more powerful entity.
Our Lord the Axus country.
Axus -The one who governs the Chu Country as well as tens of other countries Headed by the Axus clan.
It is rumored there are quite a number of grand sects which specialize in the sword. Currently, this is the goal of Niesha to be guided by a swordmaster.
It is well known that our sect has no famous elders who specializing in the sword. So truthfully there is no reason for Niesha to strive for an apprenticeship within the sect.
The Axus country on the other hand has a plethora of powerful beings with such skillsets.
Yet it isn’t a simple feat to catch the eyes of these behemoths. Therefore for Niesha’s dreams to be fully realized her path to the top must be filled with splendor.
The only way that was possible is by crushing every competitor. Most important those geniuses from the Zaro and Arosa clan.
Who are two of the most influential clans inside the sect and within the Fu province in general.
Imagine the news if they were defeated by someone of a small unknown sword clan?
Malgrey then ended.
“They basically gave her an impossible task with geniuses like Bertholemu, Shinoda, and not to mention Jason.
This is a super rare genius the likes of which has never been seen in the Zaro or Arosa clan for thousands of year,” Ava interjected,
He has had the best of everything and if that was not enough of an advantage is the top half step lord.
That is why unless Niesha was confident in her abilities she would do the bare minimum.
“Is she confident to even contend with such beings?” Malnor questioned. What Niesha did was quite mind-boggling.
Yet these were characters that not only had elders at the lord realm and above imparting wisdom. But also had the unworldly talent to compliment.
Before Malgrey replied he paused. These were the questions he has asked himself countless times.
Ask any old cultivator what is one of the most important things in the initial stages of their path. They will tell you it is the resources and backing that one receives.
All those previously mentioned had more and then sum in comparison to Niesha.
“Well it so happens this year is her twentieth birthday. Honestly, I am not sure about the limits of her strength compared to rest.
Even she was not certain about her opponents but I know Niesha will give her all as that is the only option available.” Malgrey replied.
After awhile the squad hand fleed the morbid scene with Niesha who had been a vicious butcher.
However, due to the flare, her victim’s lives were spared.
Descended from the skies were two elders. One was a bit older than the other with signs of grey in his hair.
This was Elder Mu who was known as a bit of a slacker by his fellow elders.
Accompanying him was Elder Alders. A younger fellow who was stern in his ways.
Yet he was incessantly teased by the other elders for being jittery around a certain someone, Elder Mary.
They looked at the bloody scene of Etoo, his men, and the Barker twin. Most were unconscious due to the severe loss of blood. Only Jacob, Etoo, and Aiden were still conscious.
They had conjured their elemental flames to scorch the chopped areas. This had given them a bit more time than their fellow wounded. The two elders had seen a few scenes throughout the day that were quite vicious but this absolutely took the cake.
In order to keep their conversation private, they discussed telepathically.
“Can their limbs be saved?” Alders curiously asked. Of the two Mu was the most experienced as a medic. Mu took his time to assess the injuries before giving his response,
“Yes, if we weren’t on time however they would have no hope. Of course, after such injuries, their prospects for the future are quite limited.”
While he spoke a few viles filled with red limit were summoned to his hands as he quickly placed poured their contents on the wounds. Then carefully place the severed limbs into large buckets of ice carried by some volunteers dressed in all black.
As they assessed the damage it was clear that the squad who inflicted these wounds was clearly overpowered in comparison to their victims. This was quite overbearing and perhaps would need some looking into.
“Speak who did this?” Alders inquired.
Soon they heard Aiden coughing blood as he aimed to speak.
Cough!
Cough!
“Lord elders this was all the doing of Squad Malgrey. They ambushed us when we were recuperating from a previous battle.” He uttered not specifically identifying Niesha as the sole perpetrator.
It is not known what is the intention when doing this. Perhaps even now he had not come to terms with what had happened.
Or simply he would not like others to know all six were bested by a lone individual.
When he mentioned Squad Malgrey the two had no recollection of such a strong fourth-star squad. They wouldn’t think it possible for the likes of a three-star ranked squad to inflict such damages.
Aiden knew squad Malgrey was not popular but perhaps-
“Lord elders that one who calls himself Sir Mouse’s squad.” Yet when he spoke those words in expectant glee. Aiden never got the response he intended.
“Well sometimes disagreement get heated and things get a bit out of control. It happens when you are young.” Elder Alders uttered downplaying the whole incident as though it was nothing, brushing it under the rug.
Both Eto’o and Jacob heard those words and knew the underlined meaning.
Why couldn’t they have unheard this conversation before their decision to hunt this youth? It seems this Mouse hold quite the special privilege.
Now not only have they made a huge by offending one genius. But another who holds the backing of the entire sect.
Who is this kid?
Furthermore what kind of genius could possibly make two elders attitudes change with the mere mention of an alias?
Soon fear overwhelmed them after thinking about the repercussions of their actions.
This world they have grown to know wasn’t a kind one. Absolute vengeance was not completed until your enemy’s eyes had closed forever.
