The Gods Decree - Chapter 256 Despise Me In Hell
On the outskirts of the Dark Abylis Sect, a caravan filled with a party of fifteen made their way into the distance. From what could be seen of the guards vigilantly keeping security, whomever they were protection was quite wealthy. In the centre of it all was a golden carriage drawn by ten large horses covered in white fur.
This was quite a peculiar means by which someone of evident wealth would traverse the terrains. With thousands of large flying beasts, it was the slowest method one could utilize as travel. However, this means provided stares from curious onlookers as the occupants inside flaunted their wealth.
Inside the golden chariot, City Lord Fen could be seen laughing it up, having the time of his life. Beside him were two young women skimpily dressed. His hand callously moved up and down their thighs as he told one corny joke after the next, while they drank wine and toasted.
“If you keep drinking like this, My Lord, I fear my sister and I will be left feeling quite unsatisfied in the night with your performance. Your stamina isn’t what it use to be.” One of the two women teased while kissing upon his pale neck.
The balding Fen grinned while responding, “So young and tempting,” squeezing her cheeks while she seductively moaned, “My dear, even in my old age I’m still 100% a lord. I’ll tell this, the ‘little fellow’ has yet to reach its prime. But why wait until tonight, let me show you both what experience brings.”
As he spoke City Lord Fen grabbed the two into his embrace while ruthlessly tearing away their lingerie-like attire from their bodies…
Blup!
He then heard a thumping sound as the golden carriage suddenly came to a halt. This truly infuriated Fen when seeing that he was stopped in his tracks by some callous interference. Whomever in his caravan found responsible will be severely punished.
Enraged Fen pushed his head through the window of the carriage which was tinted black for privacy, he shouted, “You lousy ingrates, didn’t I give specific orders that by no means should I be dis…”
Abruptly he was stopped in his tracks when finally seeing what unfolded on the outside. It was freezing cold with everything frozen solid. Of his fifteen men and all the demon beasts, not one could move a muscle. From what could be seen of their facial expressions, they were simply oblivious to their current plight.
As Fen shuddered at the sight he knew immediately, this was the doing of a powerful lord. Being an early-stage Lord Realm himself, only someone of greater strength could accomplish such a feat with him being ignorant of the fact. Which of his enemies was so bold as to attack him in the borders of the Dark Abylis Sect?
Readying to blast through the door on the opposing side in order to make his escape, Fen was startled to find sitting beside a youth of only fifteen casually staring at him while drinking his expensive wine. This youth he knew quite well, it was Tafari the previous defendant in the case which he presided.
How did he gain access to his carriage without being detected? Then Fen glimpsed the opposing side of the carriage and from what was seen it was melted through, as smelting hot metal dripped on the ground below. His previous two escorts could also be seen frozen solid with screaming expressions on their faces. Yet the screams did not escape from their lips with him not having heard a whimper.
“Quite the exotic lifestyle City Lord. I hope it is the same for your citizens,” Taf calmly uttered while drinking the red wine, reminiscent of a connoisseur of vintage wines, aware of the finer things in life. During this time Fen struggled to make sense of what unfolded.
Surely this was not the one who was responsible for all of this? This kid had monstrous talent but this destruction could only be accomplished by someone with lord realm strength. Without any form of hesitation Fen hurriedly aimed to press on his transmitter calling for reinforcement from the nearby Dark Abylis Sect, while igniting his qi to also buy himself some time.
“I see my company is not appreciated,” Uttered Taf disappointed in Fen’s decision.
Thud!
The side of an iron hand smashed against his throat causing Fen to cough thick blood all over the carriage floor. After which he felt another hand grasped him by the skull smashing his head against the only side of the carriage still remaining intact.
Fen then heard a cold voice in his ear while his head was continuously smashed against the carriage. “Someone has shown ill will towards me. Who is it?” He wasn’t even given time to fathom what was unfolding before he was mercilessly beaten.
“I have previously been told a name however I need your confirmation. I’ll give you ten seconds before I kill you.” As Taf spoke, Fen saw outside a female with cascading silver hair who he knew was also called May, crawling towards her attempting to scream was another city lord he knew far too well.
It was City Lord Cathlene a quiet woman but quite a conniving person. He then witnessed as a beautiful blue rose ruthlessly burst its way through her throat. Follow by horrifying gasping sounds for breath. Soon frosty mist could be seen escaping through her mouth as she shivered.
Thud!
All fen saw next was Cathlene’s head smash against the cold hard ground, dead.
May slowly walked over the corpse, picked up the blue rose before discarding of it within her space stone. She then outstretched her hand as ice engulfed the corpse before it exploded into a mixture of ice and blood.
“Elder Zander!” Blurting out City Lord Fen. He was frightened silly by what he just witnessed, It was like something out of a horror novel. Having heard his confession Taf seemed quite pleased as he lightly slapped Fen across his face showing his appreciation. After which he took away Fen’s space ring and transmitter.
“Rest assured, your men are not dead, neither are your little sweethearts. We would never seek such vengeance on the innocent.” Taf voiced before walking away with May to his side. With this Fen sighed in relief. Before he was certain death would not escape him when seeing the cold manner in which Cathlene was killed.
Then he heard Taf utter another line that once more plunged his soul into the abyss,
“However, they know nothing and you have borne witness to our true strengths, life is not an option for you, old man. Despise me in hell!”
“Please!” Fen begged for mercy but it was too late as he felt a popping sound in his dantian. Before he could investigate, black lightning coursed through his body scorching him whole. After which Taf sent out a burst of flames torching City Lord Fen’s body into ash.
“How will we handle his entourage?” Inquired May, they didn’t have this dilemma with Cathlene as she was by her lonesome. But with Fen’s extravagant lifestyle he could not help but show his abundant wealth.
“For the time being, we’ll keep them in one of the space stones. After witnessing the tournament and taking our leave. We’ll find a safe location to offload them,” Responded Taf while eying the fifteen men dressed in golden armour. He could be ruthless killing them on the spot but they were merely innocent bystanders who he held no animosity towards. They weren’t even aware of what unfolded around them.
May always being the cautious one saw the plight they now faced in the immediate future, “This Elder Zander is at the latter stages of the lord realm. If we were to combine our strengths I have no doubts defeating him would be possible. However, what if he is not the only one with ill intention towards us? With us not being members of the sect and so many knowing of your secret affinities and my strength, the news will spread throughout the Chu Country like wildfire.”
Taf was no fool and did indeed note all that May spoke held truth. They would definitely have targets on their backs but disguising themselves was no problem. Yet they solely could not rely on the space stone’s ability and needed absolute strength. What concerned him was their origins were not hard to trace, so Marvel City was in danger. Currently, their undisclosed master would abate such attempts but that would not last forever.
Even more importantly he was not one to put the lives of the individuals he cherished into the hands of others. Who knows what the future brings for them and the Draconian? He has been quite helpful thus far, but that did not mean the two trusted him completely.
Such kind souls were extremely rare in this world, who knew if he had other underlined intentions? But for now, it suited them perfectly, at the very least, it seemed their growth was a priority for him. Which they will exploit without any reservations.
“Ok here is the plan. Currently, we both have been slowing our cultivating in order to build solid fountains before attempting to transcend into the lord realm. With the resources at our fingertips, we will simply push to see how far our strengths can soar in a week’s time without disrupting our foundations. Then let them all come.”
After taking everything into consideration, Taf calmly charted a course forward for the two. May also took a moment to think it through, truthfully it did seem like the best they could do with the limited time available.
With that being settled the two hurriedly cleaned the scene before departing as if they never were. They had one mission before them, strength. Gather as much power as possible in this limited time frame. If their enemies are to multiple, so too will their cultivation soar.
Come one, come all, anyone who dares to have ill intent. They are more than willing to accompany each and every participant. However, hopefully, they are appropriately attired for such an occasion. So on their tombstones will be read,
“If nothing else, he was a lovely dressed corpse.”
