The Grand Elementalist - Chapter 17 The Era Of Arashi Has Come To An End

Yuki: Wait a second, You’re a Dragon Sage right??? Then who’s Elemental Art did you adapt??

Catherine: Well, My Elemental Art is the combination of my father and my mother’s Elemental Art.

Yuki: I see…

Kayosha: You were planning something, Weren’t you??

Yuki: I was trying to identify who my sister-in-law is going to be.

Rysei:…Y…Yuki….

Yuki: What??!!, I’m just curious.

Catherine then laughs

Shizen: Well as long as Rysei takes care of her, Then we’re good.

Sora: I’ve been meaning to ask, Can you do the teleport thing that Rysei does??

Catherine: You mean “Meteor Dragon Switch”??? Sadly no, My father doesn’t trust me in using that spell.

Yuki: Why???

Catherine: “Meteor Dragon Switch” is a spell that grandpa developed in his teenager years, It basically let’s grandpa switch the position of two marked targets or allows grandpa and the marked target to switch position also the spell allows grandpa to teleport to the marked target instantly.

Shizen then looks at Rysei

Shizen: Seems like you developed an overpowered spell.

Rysei: Well the target has to be marked in order to use the spell.

Kasai: Well it’s an overpowered spell, But why doesn’t your father teach the spell to you??? I mean you might get even more powerful.

Catherine: He kinda thinks I’ll use the spell irresponsibly…..

Rysei: Irresponsibly???

Catherine: He thinks I’ll use the spell to allow me to teleport to any location, Which means he thinks I’ll use the spell to get out of the house more frequently.

Yuki: Well, sounds like a reasonable cause.

Kasai: So what spells does Rysei have more in store??

Rysei: Hey!!! Stop exploring my arsenals!!!

Jikan then looks at the clock

Jikan: Look at the time, You better get ready, The Grand Shtotsu shall start in 1 hour.

Yuki: Well then, I’ll be getting myself ready, I’ll see you all later.

Kayosha: Me too

Shadow: Try not to lose early babe, I’m the one who’s going to beat you

Shizen: You mean “We”, Come on let’s go, We need to prepare.

Yuki: Dream on Shad, I’m the one who’s going to knock the both of you.

They all leave the room and started to prepare for the Grand Shtotsu

After a while, They all went outside but Rysei was still inside his room

Kasai: For a guy who can teleport instantly, He’s often slow.

Ryshi: Hang on I’ll go check on him

Ryshi then heads back inside the castle

Ryshi then goes to Rysei’s room

He then opens the door seeing Rysei talking to himself

Rysei: This is it Rysei!!! Try not to lose-

Ryshi: Is something bothering you???, You look really nervous.

Rysei: It’s just that…. If I lose a match when I’m suppose to win then Catherine shall disappear and I don’t want that.

Ryshi: Don’t worry Rysei, As long as you do your best. Just don’t underestimate your opponents.

Rysei: Okay..Thanks I needed that.

Rysei and Ryshi left the room and headed outside

Rysei: Hey guys, Sorry I’m late-

Yuki: What took you so long, Let’s go!! We’re gonna be late.

Rysei, Ryshi, Jikan, Catherine Yuki, Shizen, Shadow, Kasai, Sora and Kayosha headed off to the Arashi Arena where the Grand Shtotsu is taking place

At the Arashi Arena

Rysei then looks at Arashi’s Monument

Rysei: Grandpa…..

Shizen: It’s a shame you didn’t met him,

Yuki: I’d like to see him again

???: There you kids are, I hope you’re all prepared to this upcoming Grand Shtotsu.

Rysei, Shizen and Yuki then looks behind and they all see their father

Rysei: Dad!!!

King Yogan: Hello Rysei, Good to see you, I’m proud you’d finally awakened your Elemental Art.

Rysei: Thanks Dad

This is Yogan Ryg, He’s a Dragon Sage like me and he’s the current king of the Kingdom. He’s the father to Yuki, Shizen and me. He’s also Arashi Ryg’s first son

Yuki: Hey Dad…..

King Yogan: Hi sweetie, I’m sorry for not being around much often.

Yuki: It’s okay Dad, You’re the king after all, I kinda understand you being busy.

Shizen: So Dad, What’s the Grand Shtotsu gonna be like???

King Yogan: I’m sorry Shizen, I can’t tell you, It’d be unfair to everyone if I told you what’s gonna happen in the Grand Shtotsu.

Ryshi, Jikan, Catherine, Kasai, Sora, and Kayosha then approaches Rysei and his family

Ryshi: It’s been far to long King Yogan.

King Yogan: Ryshi!!!, Jikan!!!! Honor the stars giving me the chance to see 2 of the Crowned Dragons.

Jikan: I hope you don’t mind us being here??

King Yogan: Not at all, It’s a pleasure to have you with us.

He suddenly grabs Sora

Kasai: I’d like you to meet my girlfriend Sora.

Sora then blushes

King Yogan: Well hello there Sora, I hope you take care of Kasai, He’s like a son to me.

Sora: Nice to meet you King Yogan, Don’t worry he’s…..in good hand….

Shadow: Hello… there K-K-King Yogan….

King Yogan: How have you been Shadow, I hope Yuki didn’t gave you hell.

Yuki: Dad!!!!

Shadow: I’m good King Yogan.

He then sees Catherine

King Yogan: Who’s this girl behind you Rysei???

Rysei: Ugh… This is Catherine, A friend that came to watch the Grand Shtotsu.

Catherine: Um…. Hello, Great Grand-….. I mean King Yogan, It’s nice to meet you.

King Yogan: It’s nice to meet you Catherine, I’ll have the Imperial Knights reserve you all front row seats to the Grand Shtotsu.

Look at the time, The Grand Shtotsu is about to start.

Ryshi: Well good luck Rysei, Kasai, Yuki, Sora, Shizen, Shadow and Kayosha, I wish you the best of luck.

They all gathered at Dragon Sage Tablet, Where they await King Yogan to begin the speech and explain the rules in the Grand Shtotsu

The Dragon Sage Tablet is a stone tablet created in order to honor all the Dragon Sages who risked there lives for the sake of the Kingdom of Ryg

Shizen: What’s taking Dad so long!!!

Kasai: I can’t wait to get this Grand Shtotsu started.

Yuki: What’s taking him so long??!!

Rysei then sees his father approaching the stage

Rysei: Look it’s Dad!!

King Yogan then approaches the stage and a bunch of Elementalist in the spectators area started clapping

King Yogan then began his speech

King Yogan: Welcome all to this wonderful day, Today we start a noble event, One that hasn’t been conducted since the Era of Arashi Ryg. To honor him today for his heroic bravery and the sacrifices he made to this Kingdom, We’ll once again conduct this noble event. To all the Elementalist who’s participating, I wish you the best of luck.

Show us the skill, The Spells, The Strategies you all developed alongside your Chmas. Today is your day, The day you all shine, The day you’ll show us what you got. I commence this day as the start of the Era of the New Grand Elementalist.

Everyone in the Arashi’s Arena started clapping

King Yogan: Now for the rules of the Grand Shtotsu, There are about 263

Chmas who registered. But only 16 will move on to the next round.

Everyone was shocked and it suddenly began to start getting noisy

Shadow: Only 16!!! This is going to be tougher than I thought.

Yuki: Leave it to Dad to make things hard…..

Sora: Only 16 huh…..

Kayosha: It’d be a tough one???, Are you sure you can do it on your own Rysei???

Rysei: Yeah-

Shizen: Don’t underestimate him Kayosha, Remember he still has that spell and some reserves in his arsenal.

King Yogan: As I said, Only 16 Chmas will move to the next round, The first round shall be a Chma Showdown.
