The Grand Elementalist - Chapter 18 At Last The Grand Shototsu Begins
King Yogan: As I said, Only 16 Chmas will move to the next round, The first round shall be a Chma Showdown.
A showdown where teamwork, the determination to win and the masteries of spells are needed to bring your Chma to victory.
A gigantic holographic projection suddenly appeared above King Yogan showing the entire map of the Kingdom of Ryg
King Yogan: Now then it’s time to know about the mechanics of the first round, As you can see above this is a complete replica of the Kingdom of Ryg created by none other than…. Ryshi Ryg.
The screen then reveals Ryshi’s face as he is smiling and waving
Rysei: W-W-Wait, Ryshi!!!!!
Shizen: I’m not surprised anymore, I mean Ryshi is the Crowned Dragon Of Creation.
King Yogan: Now then, Each Chma will be transported to the arena at a different location and once you are transported you’ll have an hour to duke it out, Go wild if I must say.
Don’t worry about the buildings the entire arena you’ll be transported to is just a replica, So don’t be afraid to go all out, It’s your time to shine.
Now for the rules of the Chma Showdown.
Firstly, Killing is strictly prohibited, If an Elementalist would commit such a crime, Their Chma will be disqualified and will be face with greater consequences once the Grand Shtotsu is over.
Secondly, Blackmailing is also strictly prohibited, If an Elementalist is caught blackmailing another Elementalist in terms of family, reputation, or worst by keeping someone hostage, Their Chma will be disqualified and will be face with major punishments.
Lastly, using of drugs and or illegal enchantments is strictly prohibited, If an Elementalist is caught, He/she will be sent directly to prison.
Shadow: They’ve really thought of everything haven’t they.
Shizen: What you would’ve expect it is a special event.
King Yogan: Also a new rule is added to this Grand Shtotsu.
Yuki: Wait there’s more…
King Yogan: To balance out the power difference between regular Elementalist and Dragon Sages. The Sage Council decided that starting now alliances between Chmas are allowed.
Sora: Looks like they’ve made things tougher than regular Shtotsu.
Shizen: Well it kinda fair for everyone, Dragon Sages are more powerful than regular Elementalist, So I guess alliance forming is an option.
King Yogan: Now then, How will you proceed to the next round you ask,
Each of the Chmas will be teleported to the arena before the first round starts, There will be Demons around the entire arena. Each Demon will give you some points depending on the Rank they’re in.
F-Rank Demons will grant you 10 points, E-Rank will grant you 20 points, D-Rank will grant you 30 points, C-Rank will grant you 40 points, B-Rank will grant you 50 points.
Kasai: Talk about a lot of Demons.
King Yogan: Also, To spice things up We’ve also added an A-Rank Demon, But unlike the rest, The A-Rank Demon will grant you an automatic slot in the next round. Also to makes things more difficult, You can also get points by defeating the other Chmas but in order to claim the points you need to defeat both Chmas. If you ask on how many points you’ll get… We’ve decided to go with “Winner takes all”. Which means once you defeated a Chma, You’ll have the privilege of taking all there points.
Shizen: This will be hard, It means we can’t trust other Elementalist besides our team.
Rysei: This is it…
King Yogan: With all the rules explain, You’ll only have an hour for the first round so utilitize your time properly.
Let the Grand Shtotsu begin!!!!
A ray of light then transcends into the arena hitting all the Chma’s participating
At the spectators area
Ryshi: Jikan??!!! Catherine??!! What’re you doing here???
Jikan: We already did our patrol but sadly the Corrupted Elementalist is still no where to be seen. And I kinda wanna watch this Grand Shtotsu again.
Catherine: What’s with the weird light???
Ryshi: It’s a teleportation spell, Right now all the participants are going transported at the arena.
The ray of light then disappears and all of the participants are gone
Suddenly screens of holographic projection circled around the spectators area so that the spectators can see what’s going on in the Arena
At the Arena 1 hour before the first round ends
for visiting.
Rysei: Looks like the Grand Shtotsu began I better go hunt some-
Rysei then was surrounded by E-Rank Demons
Rysei: Looks like they’ve save me the trouble of finding some Demons.
Rysei is currently surrounded by Hell Hounds, E-Rank Demons who known for there speed, They’re often seen in packs and ruled by an alpha Hellhound
At the spectators area
Prof Hex: Hello Maggots, I’ll be your commentator for today.
Prof Volt: And I’m Professor Volt, I’ll be your assistant commentator.
Prof Hex: As you can see, Rysei Ryg is currently surrounded by E-Rank Elementalist.
Catherine: Grandpa…
Rysei: I better finish this quickly-
The Hell hounds then pounced on Rysei
Rysei: Meteor Dragon Photon Blade!!
Rysei casted a spell and a sword made of Meteor Dragon energy appeared in his hand
Rysei: Meteor Dragon Photon Assault!!!!
Rysei then casted a spell and a mysterious white aura surrounded his body enchanting his physical abilities
Suddenly in a blink of an eye Rysei launched an assault so fast that he manages to cut the Hell hounds in half without them or anyone noticing he moved
Rysei: That should suffice with a couple of points.
The mysterious aura then disappeared from Rysei’s body
At the spectators area
Prof Volt: Am I seeing what I think I am seeing or did the Hell hound just died while jumping????
Prof Hex: Idiot, Check the point bars, Rysei just received a total of 240 points. He must’ve attacked the Hell hounds so fast that we didn’t even see him attack.
The crowd then began to talk
Meisai: Dad, Rysei’s really powerful isn’t he???
Akanishi: He is sweetie

Akanishi: Well he did defeat that S-Rank Demon on his own, The Demons he’s facing our nothing compared to the once he faced before
As more and more Elementalist fought of against the Demons in the arena more and more explosions occurred
Yuki: Ice Dragon Blizzard Blast!!!!!
Yuki then casted a spell and she then shotted and arrow covered with Ice Dragon energy
The arrow then hits a couple of Cursed Shamans and during the impact a gigantic ice burg appeared out of nowhere
Cursed Shamans are C-Rank Demons who casted curses and misfortune to their foes
Yuki Ryg received 840 points
At the spectators area
Prof Hex: Looks like Ice princess is stronger than ever
Prof Volt: You said it, I’m glad she’s an ally not a foe.
Back at the arena
More and more Elementalist continue to gather points while some began attack some other Chmas
Sand: Hey Melody!!!! Have you seen any A-Rank Demons
Melody: No, Just focus on getting more points-
Suddenly an fire blast was headed towards Melody
Sand: Lightning Dragon Thunderbolt Strike
Sand then casted a spell and a blast made of Lightning Dragon energy intercepted the fire blast
Sand: You got some nerve hitting my teammate……Flick.
Flick: Since when did you care about someone Sand. I thought you were a lone wolf like me.
Sand: I am a lone wolf, But unlike you I’m not-
Sand then launches an assault on Flick
Flick then dodges Sand assault
Flick: Don’t underestimate me Sand, Fire Bullet Barrage!!!!!
Flick then casted a spell and a barrage of fire blast is heading straight towards Sand
Sand: You can’t blame me, You did loose to that F-Rank Loser.
Sand then casually dodges the fire blast that flick launched
Melody: I better go find the other Chma then-
Sand: There is no need for that.
Sand then grabs Flick’s head and slams him to the ground
Sand: Melody
Melody: Right, Melody Dragon Harmonic Bind
Melody then casted a spell and a mysterious aura surrounded Flick
Flick: What is this?!!!! Why can’t I move?!!!!!!
Sand: It’s pointless to move, Now then your gonna tell us everything you know about your partner.
Sand then places his hand on Flick’s head
Sand: Now tell me where is your partner, Otherwise you’d experience of touching Lightning Dragon energy in your face and you wouldn’t want that would you like-
Sand then releases a little bit of Lightning Dragon energy on his hand and it electrified Flick
Sand: You better answer hurry otherwise you’d might experience thunderbolts strike from the sky
