The Grand Elementalist - Chapter 2 The Shototsu Trial

A ray of light then emerges out of Rysei’s and transcends to the sky

Every Elementalist around both at school and at the Kingdom sees the ray of light

King Yogan: So, He’s finally here or should I say, He’s finally awakened.

At a distance far away from the Kingdom the ray of light can still be seen

Back at the Training Area

Flick: What is that???

Prof. Hex: I’ve never seen anything like this before, Is it just a spell or an enchantment????

A mysterious figure was then seen inside the ray of light

Flick: Fire Bullet Barrage!!!!

Flick casted a spell and a barrage of fire blast is heading towards the mysterious figure

A barrage of light then came out and hits the barrage of fire blast and the two spell collided causing an explosion

Kayosha: What’s happening down there???!!!!

Kasai: I don’t even know!!!!!

The ray of light then disappears and the smoke clears out

Everyone was then shocked seeing Rysei holding a sword

Kasai: Kayosha!!!! W-What’s going on??!!! Why’s Rysei holding a sword??!!!

Melody: It looks like the F-Rank loser is finally showing us what he’s capable…

Ishi: Would you look at that… even I’m at lost for words.

Sand: Seems like there’s more to this F-Rank loser.

Flick: I thought he couldn’t do a single spell…. It’s not the time to be worry, It’s time I end this F-Rank loser.

Rysei then begins to walk slowly towards Flick

Flick then begins to panic as the spells he casted was useless against Rysei

Flick then begins to gather tremendous amount of mana in his hands

Prof. Hex: This boy, He’s going for the kill!!! I must stop-

Flick: Fire Ca-

Rysei then slams Flick’s head to the ground

Prof. Hex: He moved so fast that even I didn’t notice it until the last minute.

Not only that his strength….. And his swordsmanship is of the charts.

He might be a rank a C-Rank or maybe even higher.

Professor Hex then approaches the 2 boys

Prof. Hex: Since Flick is unconscious, Rysei wins the Shtotsu!!!!!

Luke: No way!!!!!

Drake: The F-Rank loser won!!!

Melody: You might have a good rival, Sand-kun.

Sand: Don’t make me laugh, I’ll crush that F-Rank loser in just a matter of seconds.

At the waiting area

The boy with green hair is my elder brother Shizen Ryg. He’s a B-Rank Elementalist and He’s also the student council vice president

The boy with black hair is Shadow Kageryu, He’s kinda my sister’s boyfriend and my brother’s bestfriend.

An Elemental Arts ability is a special skill an Elementalist develops corresponding to there Elemental Art

Shadow: There’s no need to rush, The Elemental Arts ability isn’t anyway required unless you’re C-Rank or above.

Kasai: I forgot to ask what’s your ability Yuki??

Yuki: My ability is called “Frost Moon”

It let’s me freeze the environment.

Kayosha: Awesome!!!!! What about you Shadow???

Shadow: My ability is called “Shadow Cloak” It allows me to turn my body into a shadow which improves both my stealth and evasion.

Kasai: What about you Shizen????

Shizen: My ability is called “Nature’s Bloom” It heals all my injuries as long as I’m expose to sunlight.

Kasai: Man, Your abilities are just to strong.

Rysei: I wonder what’s my ability???….

At the teachers lounge

Prof. Hex: Those are the results of the Shtotsu test.

Prof. Rej: So your class was responsible for that ray of light.

Prof. Hex: The ray of light was cause by Rysei Ryg-

Madam Les: Isn’t Rysei Ryg a F-Rank Elementalist???

Prof. Hex: He is, But I’ve underestimated him once, I’ll never do it again.

Prof. Hex: It’s some kind of light based Elemental Art. We currently don’t know what it is exactly.

The school started handing out the results of the Shtotsu

Luke: Looks like I’m an E-Rank

Ishi: I got D-Rank, How about you Sand???

Sand: I’m a C-Rank.

Rysei: My results haven’t shown up yet …. My name isn’t in F, E, D nor C-Rank….

Kasai: I’ll help you search your name again.

Kayosha, Kasai and Rysei began to search for Rysei’s name in the test results one by one

After a while

Kayosha: You were right, I can’t find it….

Kasai: Maybe they just forgot-

Prof. Hex: Silence you maggots!!!! I’m sure you’ve all seen your test results by now. It’s the beginning of the year and starting now, You’ll all have permission to start doing some quest.

A quest is a certain task an Elementalist can accept. A quest can be about gathering information, Protection, Assassination or just a boring old chore. Like Elementalist, A quest can be ranked based on its level of difficulty.

And a certain rule is applied where an Elementalist can only accept a question if his/her rank is equal too or below his/her perspective rank. For example, A B-Rank Elementalist can only accept B to C-Rank quest.

Rysei: But Prof. Hex I still haven’t gotten my results!!!!

Prof. Hex: Your rank….. is F-Rank.

Kayosha & Kasai: Wait what!!!!!!!
