The Grandbell Legacy - Chapter 39 Alice 2
Ci-ci didn’t seem to notice Dr. Rai’s rising anger as he continued to “pour his heart out”.
“What do you want me to do?! I’ll do anything!” Ci-ci pleaded. “I’ll even roleplay with you again! Although you definitely went too far last time, I have to admit, you’re quite sexy when you’re punishing your “student”. I’ll be at your mercy, Professor Rai!”
Ci-ci blinked expectantly, as though he was waiting for an answer.
The guard was caught between erupting into a fit of laughter and cringing fiercely. Unfortunately for Dr. Rai, her subordinates were feeling the same exact way.
Even worse, not even a full two seconds passed before Ci-ci began to speak again. It was clear to anyone watching this scene with an objective eye that he never planned for Dr. Rai to respond in the first place.
Gritting his teeth, Ci-ci continued as though he was making the hardest decision of his life. “If it’s come to this, I’ll even wear that dress with the matching lingerie you got me! I’ll do anything!”
At this point, the guard and the young women in the background couldn’t hold their laughter in anymore. One of them even happened to be taking a sip of water that ended up spewing from their lips and wetting the floor.
Not only did Dr. Rai not seem embarrassed by Ci-ci’s words, it even seemed as though her gaze cause freeze the air itself. However, Ci-ci shamelessly opened his mouth to continue.
“Let him in.” Dr. Rai piercing gaze looked toward the guard before the monitor shut off.
Ci-ci grinned triumphantly.
Of course, Alice hadn’t allowed him in to be friendly, she had allowed him in because he had angered her to the point where she wanted to deal with him personally. Just what he wanted.
With a wink toward the still laughing guard, Ci-ci rolled through the gate.
The guard shook his head as he watched Ci-ci’s car disappear into the distance. “Respect. Respect.”

About five or so minutes later, Ci-ci had made his way to an elegantly crafted villa.
Its driveway was shaped like a massive ribbon, lined with beautifully cut grass and an intricately sculpted fountain to grace its center.
The mansion itself stretched almost a hundred meters in either direction and seemed to be three floors high. A mixture of dark reds and off-whites accented the home, giving it a planned and organized feel.
Ci-ci was quite familiar with this mansion as he had been here many times. It was not only Alice’s personal home, but also housed top of the line research facilities in three basement floors.
As for how Ci-ci became acquainted with Alice, it was more accurate to say that she became acquainted with him.
Alice graduated from the current second ranked university, Capital University. Of course, at the time she enrolled and graduated, it was ranked number one.
This might seem surprising. After all, the beauty who appeared on the monitor looked no more that 20 years old. Yet, Grandbell University had ranked number one ever since Ci-ci enrolled more than ten years ago.
Well, the truth was that Alice was actually almost 90 years old, 87, to be exact. She attended Capital University before Grandbell University was even established in remembrance of the tragic passing of the Grandbell family.
This was all to say that Alice had an eye trained on Ci-ci before he was even aware of her existence.
Why? Because Alice wanted nothing more than to make Ci-ci her lab rat. As a neurologist, she was absolutely fascinated by Ci-ci’s genius and wanted to understand how, despite being so young, he was still so far and away better than even adults five times his age. She was convinced that there was something special about him.
Unfortunately for Alice, Ci-ci acted like a carrot dangled in front of her, never consenting to being studied.
It was likely that the true reason Alice allowed Ci-ci in was because she would leverage her forgiveness in exchange for his becoming a lab rat. Something Ci-ci, obviously, expected. That woman always pretended to place cold analysis over her feelings.
Ci-ci hopped out of his car before he strolled into the mansion, humming a catchy tune.
The large mansion doors were already open with a bowing, sharply dressed butler at the door. “Please head to the 2nd Basement floor, Dr. Rai is waiting for you there.”
Ci-ci nodded in acknowledgement as he walked toward the elevator.
The home itself was very aristocratic in decoration with plenty of olden time paintings and statues lining the walls. Even the elevator was fit to ancient times, having an expanding and contracting gate as its door while only having enough space to fit maybe three or four people.
However, after Ci-ci entered the elevator and went down a floor, the scenery completely changed from a very palace-like feel, to a heavily sanitized lab or hospital.
for visiting.
The surroundings became filled with bright white lights and stainless steel, not to mention the numerous employees, male and female alike, running around in white coats with their eyes trained on their clipboards.
After Ci-ci went down another floor, reaching the second basement floor, he opened the gate to step directly into a lab.
