The Guardians’ Throne – The First Magic Swordsman - Chapter 434
When morning came, Ozath opened his eyes slowly due to the light of the sun. Soon he understood that he wasn’t in good condition since he was tied up with iron bars created by the armor, Zaos had found in the commanders’ tent. He melted it with fire magic. Thanks to that, Ozath’s arms and legs were completely tied up, he could only roll on the ground, and the only to walk was by using his legs and hands at the same time since Zaos connected those. Regardless, he saw himself in a grove, and he didn’t remember seeing any of those close to the camp.
“You are finally awake,” Zaos said with icy cold eyes. “I didn’t want to start while you were awake.”
Zaos made sure to take prisoner one that didn’t see his illusions. It would be better if the target was wide awake while he saw that. The demon saw the illusion of Zaos cutting Darkaun into pieces. The demon was screaming and crying until he had lost blood for so many hours that he eventually died. Ozath began to sweat cold, and his vessel that was a dark-haired man in his thirties, turned pale.
“If you don’t want to experiment with that, you will spill it out everything you know all at once,” Zaos said. “If you don’t convince me, you will be tortured slowly, so you shouldn’t even think to lie to me.”
“… hihihiHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Ozath laughed maniacally. “Do you think that I fear this, mortal? The one who trembled while seeing that wasn’t me but the owner of this body. We are servants of the demon god. It doesn’t matter if you kill us all. We will always return!”
“I see… you don’t fear death,” Zaos said. “Then let’s make sure that you will fear life… in death, you cannot feel pain, but in life…”
Zaos drew his sword and then made the tip pierce the right shoulder of the demons. The creature didn’t like the pain for a while, but eventually, it began to smile again. In the end, just like the demon thought he would, Zaos was hesitating in torturing him because the owner of the body was still there, somewhere. The demon wasn’t wrong, but Zaos had other reasons to go slow with the torture.
After a while, the demon began to feel his mana decreasing, and Zaos felt his own mana being restored. When his mana was full, draining the mana of his foes increased his focus. Still, when it wasn’t, it recovered his… apparently, high-level demons had certain resistance against that since Zaos didn’t notice that when he fought Darkaun and the other two, but the weaker ones didn’t.
“You possessed his body thanks to mana. Let’s see what you can do without it.” Zaos said.
The lesser demon began to fight back, trying to free itself, but he didn’t have enough mana to destroy the iron shackles. Seeing him struggling only worsened Zaos’ mood, so he fired Stone Bullet on the face of the demon and made the creature dizzy. When the demon recovered, all of its mana was already gone, and while Zaos still could feel him inside the body, the demon couldn’t control it all that well. He thought that it would give the original owner of the body the chance to fight back, but that didn’t happen. Even without mana, the power of the demon was superior.
“All right, are you ready to answer my questions?” Zaos asked when he confirmed that most of the demons’ mana was gone.
“Go eat shit,” Ozath said.
Zaos sighed… the demon was stubborn, but he wasn’t crazy enough to bite his own tongue. After approaching the demon, Zaos touched his forehead and then used Dispel, Purification, and then Cleanse. Still, he didn’t notice anything changing in the demon. After sighing, Zaos broke the shackles with his sword and then unsheathed it. Torturing his enemies wasn’t his style. He decided to beat the crap out of him in a fistfight.
“Do your worst,” Zaos said and then unsheathed his sword.
The demon was confused, but then it dashed toward Zaos and then tried to punch his face. Still, Zaos punched the enemies’ hands after reinforcing them with earth magic. In the end, the hand of the demon broke, and the sound of the bones breaking spread around the area. The demon grunted in pain and glared at Zaos while he watched him nonchalantly.
“Why don’t you try to scream and beg for help like a worm?” Zaos asked. “You are all worms, right? Trying to get another life by acting like parasites in other people’s bodies. While you breathe, I can only see a worm squirming.”
The demon dashed again and tried to kick Zaos’ left side, but he blocked the attack with his enhanced elbow. Once again, some bones broke, and the demon opened his eyes widely. The fight was going to end pretty fast at that rate, but not fast enough for Zaos’ taste since war was about to happen.
“Why don’t you ask for that piece of shit to give you power? The demon worm, he is another worm just like you, I assume,” Zaos said. “What are you waiting for? Beg for his power!”
Ozath glared at Zaos again. It seemed that they couldn’t obtain power like that… if they could, they would have done it instead of keeping enduring that humiliation. Instead of waiting for the next attack, Zaos approached Ozath, and while he raised his guard, it didn’t help him in any way. Zaos punched his stomach, and while he tried to block the attack, the punch landed anyway and made the demon spat blood and last night’s dinner.
While Ozath was dealing with the pain, Zaos kicked his face and then mounted on him to punch his face over and over again. Zaos felt bad for the owner of the body, but he was also was to be blamed for that situation… having such a weak spirit that he couldn’t fight the demon…
