The Guardians’ Throne – The First Magic Swordsman - Chapter 454
When Darkaun finished healing his eyes, Zaos had damaged his legs so much that Darkaun could see a pool of blood around him. He tried to protect his body with the dark aura, but somehow, Zaos managed to surpass even that. While that was annoying, it was also exciting for a battle-hungry demon like him.
“That is very good,” Darkaun said. “No wonder I can’t see any fear or doubt inside you. Someone with your skills probably has what it takes to challenge our master.”
While Darkaun was listening, he was also forced to dodge the dark bolts from above. He couldn’t care less about being praised by a demon, but he was starting to think that they would never run out of mana, and their dark magic was something they could use indefinitely. If he had fired as many Stone Bullets as those two had fired Dark Bolts, he would have run out of mana by now, after all. If the demon god could do the same, things would truly be difficult. Not to mention, Zaos didn’t gain extra mana while he was attacking the parts of Darkaun’s body that was covered in the dark aura.
Regardless, it was only a matter of time before something happened with the city white. Those three work together, and Zaos couldn’t let that happen. Now that he thought about it, some people were bound to be hidden and watching that fight. He could use that to make his rule over the country go a lot smoother. After all, he would be the ruler who fought the demons by himself… while most people outside the town wouldn’t believe that, many would since he defeated the army of those three by himself.
It was time to end that, if Zaos shows the people that the demons can be killed, they won’t run away when they have to face the troops of the demon god. Still, before ending the fight, he had to find a way to reach Tynessa and Xergoron. It would be a bit painful, but Zaos had an idea.
Zaos kept dodging the bolts while he was showing an annoyed expression. At the same time, he was seeing Darkaun healing himself. In the end, he didn’t have the chance to attack again, thanks to Tynessa and Xergoron.
Darkaun got completely healed, and he could see Zaos’ complexion of exhaustion. After facing an army and fighting against three demons, it was only natural that he would get tired. While that was disappointing, and Darkaun wanted to enjoy that good fight for a while longer, his desire for revenge was even greater… It was time to kill the man who got in his way and messed with their whole plan.
Darkaun dashed toward Zaos again, showing the same look in his eyes as before. He was planning to get his flesh cut in exchange for breaking Zaos bones and sending him on a silver platter toward those two. However, this time, Darkaun used his dark aura to increase his speed and strength-focused his energy on his limbs and then charged toward Zaos. It was the same technique he used to increase his physical abilities… Nevertheless, Zaos didn’t have the chance to get surprised since Darkaun approached him in a single moment and then kicked his stomach. Zaos felt like his body was being ripped apart, but the attack didn’t end there.
Before the kick could send him flying, Darkaun punched Zaos with two uppercuts, only at that moment, he was sent flying upward. Even without looking, Zaos could feel Tynessa and Xergoron preparing a big attack, and he couldn’t have asked for a better chance… Zaos turned his body with wind magic, and at the time, he enhanced his sword with Thunder Blade. Now that he was closer, he had a better chance of hitting them. Still, when he pointed his sword toward them, they fired some massive spheres of dark energy toward him as well. The projectiles collided in midair, causing a massive explosion, but while the demons protected themselves with their bodies, while the explosion was easing away from his flesh, he used Thunder Blade again.
Tynessa and Xergoron never saw the attack coming. When they noticed that something was wrong, the Thunder Blade separated their up and lower half. As if the wounds caused by the explosion hadn’t damaged him enough to the point where his legs and his left arm were completely burned, Zaos had to endure a fifty meters fall and the fact that Darkaun was ready to attack him yet again.
“Return to whatever steamy, hellhole full of shit that you came from!” Zaos shouted while he covered his body with Thunder Armor.
In the next moment, when Zaos was half a meter away from the ground, Darkaun collided his body against Zaos while planning to smash him against the walls of the tower. However, in the blink of an eye, Zaos swung his sword around so many times and attacked him before Darkaun could touch him. When the demon finally made contact, his whole body split into many pieces and began to roll on the ground while a rain of blood fell around the area. Darkaun’s defenses were high, but he didn’t stand a chance against Zaos speed and power granted by Thunder Armor. Still, Zaos legs cracked when he landed on the ground, and he grunted in pain.
“Shit… and I was planning to use this whole battle to scare the crap out of my possible enemies,” Zaos said while he was healing his legs.
The body of three mercenaries began to return to normal amidst that completely destroyed area. Somehow, Zaos managed to prevent the damage from spreading, but he was the one who had to pay the price.
While Zaos was healing himself, the silence finally made the area inhabitants leave their houses to check what had happened. Alongside them, hundreds of mercenaries appeared to check things in the area. In the end, they only found the area around the main tower completely destroyed, three very damaged corpses and Zaos covered from head to toe in blood.. They recognized the bodies of their leaders and immediately looked toward Zaos.
