The Guardians’ Throne – The First Magic Swordsman - Chapter 492
“Ah, that is the expression I wanted to see,” Elisius said. “Despair more, agonize over and over again before your death.”
Zaos clicked his tongue in annoyance, but then he stopped when he saw Drannor dashing toward the enemy. He was smart enough to use the blood his sword obtained in the last attack and jump from one pile of rubble to the other, but his idea to face that thing without a proper plan was still too reckless. He couldn’t even sense the flow of mana, after all.
Elisius swung his arm toward him, but Drannor jumped higher than before and toward the enemy at the last moment. Somehow, he didn’t get hit while the place had been before completely exploding. He attacked the right knee of the demon god, but his sword didn’t cause much damage… the magic over his body also increased his defenses…
Elisius tried to kick Drannor instead of using magic. Still, instead of running away, he swung the king’s sword toward the enemy. In the end, he was sent flying to the distance, but Zaos still could see a small wound bleeding on the spot Drannor had hit. Hopefully, the blood that his sword just absorbed will be enough to heal him.
“All that and you caused just a scratch?” Elisius asked.
However, much to everyone’s surprise, Drannor returned, and he wasn’t that wounded… the ice armor protected him from most of the damage, but it got thinner in the process.
“I guess that might work,” Zaos thought.
Zaos would suffer quite a bit of damage if something that big hits him, but he had some tricks against that, so he decided to copy Drannor. Both of them dashed toward the demon god at the same time, and he swung his arms toward them, firing an invisible wave of mana. Zaos blocked the attack with his sword and was pushed backward for hundreds of meters, but he was completely fine aside from some cracked bones on his right arm. Meanwhile, Drannor relied on his instincts to increase his speed at the last moment and dodge the attack. The shockwave on the ocean increased his speed, even more, granting extra power to attack the leg of the demon god. However, he did the same and kicked Drannor again. Zaos used that chance to enhance his legs and jumped toward the back of the massive demon. Once he landed there, he enhanced his sword with wind magic and pierced the flesh of the demon deeply.
“The bigger they are, the harder they fall…” Zaos said.
Elisius clicked his tongue as he felt his mana being drained by Guardian’s Heart and immediately tried to smash Zaos with both arms. However, Zaos enhanced his right arm with earth magic to the utmost limits with all the mana he had absorbed in that second, jumped on the handle of Guardian’s Hearth, and repelled both hands by swinging his greatsword.
“Ugh… cursed worm!” Elisius shouted when he felt his hands burning since Zaos opened a wound in both of them with a considerable size.
While Elisius was busy with Zaos, Drannor approached and attacked his legs mercilessly. It looked like a battle where two ants were trying to kill an elephant, but they had highly effective weapons on the demon. Elisius had to forget Drannor for a moment because Zaos’ and his newfound strength were much higher than anticipated… he had accessed the memories of all his servants. Still, he didn’t remember seeing him with that level of physical strength. In the end, Elisius enhanced his back with the power of earth magic to prevent Zaos from attacking and causing too much damage there. Still, he couldn’t do anything against Guardian’s Hearth.
Without any other choice, Elisius used Thunder Armor, and his body electrocuted Zaos and Drannor, making a high amount of steam being emitted by their bodies. However, Thunder Armor didn’t work for long because Guardian’s Heart destabilized the mana. As if that wasn’t troublesome enough for him, Zaos also obtained a lot of that mana. He used some to heal himself, but the electric current messed with his nerves to the point where not even a fully enhanced Heal made him recover instantly.
Zaos’ whole body was itching like hell due to the burn marks, but he didn’t stop. He couldn’t give up now… Without any other option, Elisius decided to accept some risks. He summoned the magma spheres and made them fly toward Zaos. Swinging his greatsword, Zaos repelled the projectiles. However, a small amount of it still fell on Zaos’s body and on Elisius’ back. Zaos clenched his teeth while he felt it eating away his flesh…
Elisius resisted that more than Zaos since his magic defenses couldn’t be compared with Zaos’. While he was getting rid of the lava, Elisius tried to crush Zaos again. Still, his body suddenly bent forward when Elisius felt a powerful blow on the back of his knee, forcing him to stop. Drannor used the blood his sword had absorbed to increase his strength and give a hand to Zaos.
“Damn you…” Elisius said while clenching his teeth.
Dealing with Zaos and Drannor at the same time wasn’t possible. While Elisius gained a massive boost of power, his size was also a problem, even with the extra strength and endurance. Not to mention, the legendary swords were granting him the sustain and the boost in strength to face him… Elisius realized that he had to get rid of those first and foremost.
Instead of summoning earth directly, Elisius created two massive hands made by hand. They made them fly toward Zaos and Drannor. Zaos immediately noticed what the enemy was plotting, and Drannor’s instincts warned him to move away from the enemy. When the hand approached him, Zaos tried to repel it with his greatsword, but even with his extra strength, Elisius still managed to make some of it get stuck on the weapon… Once that happened, Zaos began to feel it trying to steal his greatsword…..
