The Guardians’ Throne – The First Magic Swordsman - Chapter 494
In the end, Elisius closed the portals because those consumed too much mana to keep open. He tried not to show his nervousness, but it was hard not to sweat cold in the situation where he couldn’t use others to fuel his powers and when he had a sword on his neck. Instead of letting the enemies realize that he didn’t know what to do, Elisius attacked Zaos by summoning even more sand to cover him and his sword. He had to pull both of them away from his neck since he and his ability was what changed the flow of the battle.
However, when the sand approached, Zaos enhanced his sword with wing magic until it became Electricity and paralyzed Elisius. He didn’t stop there. Zaos fired Earth Bullets and hit the handle of his weapon over and over again, making the sword pierce the flesh of the demon god. As if that wasn’t enough, Drannor began to climb the body of the demon god and reached its face. Without a hint of hesitation, he attacked the right eye and completely destroyed it. Blood rain down in the area, and Drannor’s sword drained a lot. He used it soon after to enhance his body and attack the other eye and make his sword eventually reach the brain. However, when that happened, Zaos and Drannor felt the body of the demon god falling apart. Zaos noticed that he wasn’t draining any more mana, and then he noticed a shadow covered in blood moving away. He immediately pulled his sword since he could feel Elisius’ mana coming from that shadow.
“This guy… he can do pretty much everything with magic,” Zaos said and then pointed toward the enemy when Drannor looked toward him in confusion.
They chased the enemy, but before Zaos could use Thunder Armor, their normal speed decreased the distance between them pretty fast. Now that he thought about it, the presence of the demon god was a lot weaker than before… Was it because he fought in a body he wasn’t used to? Or because he suffered too much damage? It was hard to imagine that he had run out of mana…
Zaos stopped Elisius after firing an Earth Bullet on his back. He fell on the ocean of blood and then stopped when he collided against a pile of rubble. Zaos frowned when he saw that… he couldn’t have gotten that weak… still, Elisius got up, and while he was on his knees, he looked around as if he was waiting for something. Still, he was forced to stop when Zaos and Drannor approached.
While glaring at them, Elisius summoned an Earth spear… and hit his left arm with it. His defense had decreased so much that the arm was cut off, and he began to bleed like a waterfall.
“What was…” Drannor frowned. “Did he lose his mind?”
Zaos was wondering the same thing, but he kept watching the scene, anyway. The ocean of blood began to get turbulent… the monsters that had left them alone for a while finally were back. Elisius used his own blood to lure them, but it was hard to understand why.
“I won’t lose here… even if I have to wait for another three thousand years, I will have my revenge,” Elisius smiled maniacally.
A few seconds later, a massive, monstrous whale jumped and then devoured Elisius alive. As if things weren’t weird enough, other whales appeared and began to target that whale… something terrible was going to happen, and Zaos had no idea how to stop it.
That hellish scene lasted for a while, and after dozens of those giant whales were eaten by another one, the last monster began to tremble uncontrollably. For some reason, Zaos imagined that the body would mutate into something grotesque like a mass of bones and flesh that had no order. However, the creature only exploded, and once that happened, Zaos began to feel Elisius’ presence again. It wasn’t at the same level as when he was a giant, but he had recovered a lot of his mana… when the rain of blood ended. He was back to normal like nothing had happened.
“What the fuck is wrong with that bastard?” Drannor asked.
Zaos wanted to ask the same thing. Still, he didn’t have an explanation for half of the things the demon god could do. He didn’t even have a proper way to kill him once and for all yet… However, a thought suddenly crossed Zaos’ mind. However, before he could share his idea with Drannor, Elisius attacked them. Much to their surprise, he created some chains made of ice and stopped the movements of all their limbs. Before Zaos could move his sword and make it absorb the mana on those, the demon god sent an electric current through it and paralyzed them.
“I wonder why I let such insignificant beings such as yourself cause so much trouble to me,” Elisius said. “No more games… I will kill you two right here and right now. Prepare to die and meet her… tell her that I am going to meet her soon…”
Elisius increased the power of the electric currents, and Zaos saw steam leaving his head… that was bad. To make matters worse, he noticed that Drannor’s eyes had turned white. He didn’t have much resistance against magic, so it wasn’t surprising… without any other choice, Zaos used Thunder Armor and freed himself. Soon after, he used all his remaining mana and summoned Thunder Armor on Drannor as well, making him wake up.
Without a hint of hesitation, they dashed toward Elisius.. Still, the demon god had been waiting for that… the chance to kill both of them at the same time with a single attack. Before they could attack Elisius, he used all his mana to envelope his body in a sphere of fire and, near-instantly, made the mana expand, causing a massive explosion that destroyed everything around the demon god in a ten kilometers radius…
