- Chapter 14 Battle of Speeds With an Ice age Carnivore- Part 1
(previous chapter)
BEEP, the minimap sounded out. Finn looking at the map saw a big red dot appear on his radar, but this time it was different. This time it was labelled. Underneath the red dot 3 words were written: Sabre-tooth Tiger. Finn–> “Oh.. sh*t..”
(start of new chapter)
Looking at the moving red dot on the map, Finn couldn’t help but shiver after seeing the blinking red dot approaching. >sh*t, of all times this b*stard had to show up, I was so sure I lost him back there in the forest, how the hell did he track me? is some type of mutant mutt?< elsewhere on the mountain was the sabre-tooth tiger sneezing, it couldn’t help but think someone was talking behind its back.
Back to Finn, after quickly thinking of a plan Finn decided to head to a clearing and ambush the beast there.
This way He should have a chance to fight this demon and win, right?. With a giant leap, Finn climbed back into the treetops and began to run along the branches moving from tree to tree all the way to the open space in the forest.
Upon arriving, Finn hid in the tree branches and tried to camouflage himself with the wood by taking advantage of his brown fur coat.
After settling down Finn reopened the minimap and watched the pulsating red dot come closer and closer until he could hear the footsteps of the sabre tooth tiger himself.
Seeing the dot now next to him on the map, Finn closed it and peered over the branch edge down below where the demonic beast was circling around the area seemingly confused as to where Finn went.
Finn seeing the advantage of surprise he has available prepared himself for downward plunge sneak attack on the unsuspecting sabre tooth. Tensing his muscles, Finn jumped off and dove with claws fully extended as he accelerated downwards with the aid of gravity.
The demonic sabre tooth feeling intense murderous killing intent directed towards it felt cold sweat form along its back as it looked around trying to find the source. After seeing no one a sudden thought popped into its head and it looked up to see Finn 3 metres away from decapitating its neck. Seeing it was just about to die it utilized its movement technique Red wind speed technique, and moved out of the way, but not before Finn razor-sharp claws managed to shave off a couple of whiskers.
Enraged the sabretooth moved back a few metres and reactivated its movement technique and prepared to fight. On Finn’s side, Finn landed with a loud bang as he crashed into the forest floor making a shallow crater appear. Finn activating his movement technique (Shadow cloud steps) moved a few metres back and got ready to fight. Both parties increased qi flow into their movement techniques triggering a time effect in the clearing.
Time seemed to slow down as Finn and the sabre tooth tiger went into battle stances. Looking at each other as time came to a halt.
Suddenly a light shone in their eyes and they pounced forward towards each other as arcs of lightning trailed after them as it crackled and flashed as they collided with claws clashing with claws, as sparks flew everywhere as they evaded each other while continuously lashing out with their claws sending more sparks and lightning to flash as the battlefield turned into a fireworks display of Finn’s holy white lightning, and the enraged sabre tooth tiger’s crimson orange lightning as they continued to zoom around at a speed not visible to the naked eye.
Finn kept shooting out his void claw slashes as the tiger dodged and flung back at Finn a different version called ice age sabre slash as it flew back carrying a terrifying cold intent that made one feel like they would be frozen to death and fall into eternal sleep with no hope for reincarnation at the slight contact with it.
Finn jumped behind a tree as the ice age sabre slash struck the tree Finn was hiding behind turning it into a frozen looking sculpture as a gust of wind blew on it, shattering it into dust as the wind carried the dust away erasing all signs of the tree’s existence. Finn taking the opportunity of the temporary smoke-like screen rushed the sabre tooth tiger and swiped at its side Successfully raking his claws through its hide making deep gashes that visibly weakened the tiger as it grunted in pain.
