(start of new chapter)
Grumbling Finn sighed in defeat to the system. Looking over at the minimap a blue trail lit up for him to follow as the sun began to set in the sky. On Finns walk the trees shadows began to lengthen as the sky began to go dark. A cold wind blew as the trees shook above whispering in the wind creating an eerie feeling as Finn sped up his pace feeling uncomfortable staying out here during the night. A wolf howl sounded and Finn broke out into a run as his little paws quickly brought him to his destination.
At Finn’s destination, an old broken down house with vines growing all over loomed in front of him with the windows and door still surprisingly intact. Lifting a paw, Finn pushed against the door only for it to swing open with ease.
“what’s up with the creepy atmosphere” Finn commented as he entered and closed the old door behind him with a creaking bang. Inside there was a wooden table covered in dust and two chairs seated at it covered in cobwebs.
The floor was made of wood with holes everywhere and dust layered like a thin blanket. Seeing this Finn couldn’t help but sneeze cause a small blizzard of dust to fly up into the air.
“damn, where’s a maid when you need one” Finn jokingly laughed as he continued walking in. Suddenly a bronze latch handle caught Finn’s eye. Walking over the discovery of a copper coloured trap door was made.
Using his strength that a cat logically could not possess, Finn opened the heavy trapdoor with ease revealing a flight of stairs disappearing into a pitch black darkness. Luckily He was a cat in this life and had the incredible ability of night vision, and so Finn without a second thought descended into the depths of the old stone house(Authors voice: I wish I had night vision).
Reaching the bottom of the stairs a long hallway with water dripping from the ceiling and roots hanging from above stretched out before him. A thick wood door closed was at the end of the long hall. Approaching door Finn pushed against it with his front paws in a leaning stand against the wooden door resulting in the door swinging open showing the contents of the room it had hidden from prying eyes. Inside the room was a table and single chair along with a silver chest resting atop the table.
Leaping onto the chair and then onto the table, Finn inspected his new discovery ” wow! a real treasure chest, it’s almost like Indiana Jones discovering and collecting precious treasure!”. On the chest was a small lock holding the lid shut tight, and with the flick of his claws, the lock shattered unlocking the chest.
Using a paw, Finn cautiously opened the lid watching carefully for any traps as this was what he learned to do after watching so many Indiana Jones films and cartoons, and with an uneventful swing, the lid swung open revealing a milky-white jade bracelet band inside. ” system what is this bracelet doing in the chest? where is all the gold and riches at?”
– DING, HOST HAS DISCOVERED SPATIAL STORAGE BRACELET, WOULD HOST LIKE TO EQUIP SPATIAL STORAGE BRACELET YES/NO –
Eyes bulging Finns thoughts began to race. A spatial storage item!, aren’t these supposed to be hard to find and yet here’s one lying in the middle of god knows where in sky dragon forest, this lord cat must have extremely good luck at this point, system I choose yes!”.
– DING, ITEM EQUIPPING CONFIRMED, NOW EQUIPPING ITEM TO HOST –
A flash appeared and the bracelet disappeared immediately Finn felt something wrong, lifting a paw to his neck Finn felt a cold item around his neck and his eyes immediately widened “system, do you have a fetish to put collars on men!” Finn yelled out loud in anger and horror.
– DING, DUE TO HOSTS NEW BODY THE EQUIPPED BRACELET CAN ONLY BE WORN AS A COLLAR, ALSO HOST IS A CAT AND NOT A GROWN A*S MAN ANYMORE –
Sighing in frustration Finn walked back upstairs unable to vent his anger. Walking across the floor the sound of growls and scurrying of paws could be heard outside. Curious as to who could be waiting for this lord cat outside, Finn peered outside through one of the windows. Outside were multiple pairs of red eyes staring with savage looks at the house. The clouds suddenly broke up allowing the twin moons to shine through illuminating the clearing in front of the house only to reveal a pack of silver-haired wolves hungrily waiting for the little kitty they saw go through the door.
The reason they couldn’t just enter through the door was that some barrier was enforcing the door so only one person could be inside at a time. Looking outside a smile crept onto Finns face as he finally had something to vent his pent-up anger with, and with that Finn slid off the window sill and grinning opened up the front door with a bang and walked out the door with a big entrance much to the surprise and happiness of the wolves seeing that their dinner had finally made its appearance
Finn eyeing the wolf pack unsheathed his claws as they glinted a sharp cold steel under the brightness of the twin moons. “time to get this party started” Finn laughed as he disappeared into the shadows.
