The Heiress - Chapter 12
China, Ling Town
“is it ready?” a musculine guy asked over the phone. He relatively looked handsome with his golden brown skin and pale yellow eyes but he looked as if he came from a war. with deep scars on his arms and a slash under his eye, who wouldn’t be able to look at this man with fear?
“no? why are you not answering me eh?” he asked again.
“S..senior Gong, t-the renovations have been made. Ye..you can come in any time”
“little 4th, you better be prepared” he smirks before he ends the call. The little 4th whom he talked to barely felt his legs as it wobbled and he fell. In 10 minutes, he sat on the floor as he trembled in fear. Once he regained composure, he left the warehouse he was in and assumed an unapproachable aura.
…
Taiwan, ChengDong Hospital
“Old man, I’m going to the U.S to surprise a-Yin. Are you sure you don’t want her to know?” Xia Lan asked gently. Hui Han looked at the girl in front of her. She looked just like her mother with her distinct features. She had a short purple hair which contrasted her green eyes, it made people look at her with awe. She was shorter than Hui Yin as she was just 5.4 cm, but her petite figure only made her cuter.
“No” he smiled. Seeing her watery eyes, he patted her back and told her not to worry. Since she wasn’t able to convince him, she could only nod her head as she dejectedly left the hospital and rode the ride Hui Han prepared for her. She was perfectly content with the life she has, her job as a fashion designer was working well and life seemed to go well for both she and her mom, but growing up with Hui Yin made her yearn for a father and seeing Hui Han so sick, she couldn’t help but worry. She saw him as a fatherly figure to her and the man knew that. He also knew that this girl tended to yearn for love from people as she was a hopeless romantic, so he ended up advising her everytime along with Hui Yin. She silently sat in the car as it sped towards the airport.
…
Looking at the time, Hui Yin saw that working hours was over. She bid her goodbye to the president and walked to the parking lot. It was quiet down there and all she heard was the clicking of her heels. As she approached her car, she noticed shuttering sounds and a flash of light, ‘someone was stalking her’ she thought, therefore she went in her car and opened a secret door at the backseat of her car and rolled in as it lead out her car. She calmly place a mirror in front of her and calmly waited for something to happen. No sooner than that, the person who took pictures probably wondered what took her so long to set off, and went nearer the car.
‘Judging from the footsteps she heard, the person was a lean man, no taller than 6.5 cm’ she thought as the footsteps were getting closer. She couldn’t believe that she had to face this problem just after she arrived at the building from France. Of course, she didn’t know what problem this might cause her so she hid herself well. The footsteps stopped, he was by the front seat door. The man leaned in and looked through the dark glass, unprepared for the incoming attack from Hui Yin. She kicked his manhood and as he groaned from the pain, without waiting for him to retaliate, she gripped his arm and flipped him over, making his back hit hard against the wall. Taking her gun out, she asked “what do you want?” in a cold voice. The man who heard this shivered and raised his hands as he kneeled still cowering from pain while he grit his teeth hard.
“I’m innocent, I was just passing by!” he screamed.
“eh? it seems I was wrong, carry on then” Hui Yin said as she turned around and walked back to her car. When the man heard this, a glint passed by his eye as he sighed in relief thinking that the girl was fooled. With a swoosh, he aimed his fist towards the girl only to groan in pain as he now knew that she had countered his punch with a swift and steady kick. His eyes widened in shock. Her, knowing martial arts was never part of the intel he received. Just when he thought it was his end, he heard the girl chuckle, chilling his heart.
“Haizz, just when I thought of letting you off” she sighed “Now, who sent you?” she asked while staring blankly at the man.
“just kill me, I won’t answer” he said. Although he was about to be killed, he would never let this person know anything. It was an oath he took and though what he was doing was evil, he was nonetheless still a man hard to crack.
“oh really~” the girl’s soft and sweet voice travelled through his ears. ‘she sounds amused huh?’ he thought as he hung hid head low, his gaze on the ground. He was too afraid to meet her eye to eye. He felt hopeless.
“Well then, how about…” the girl paused, he feared what words would come out next from the girl’s mouth
“..work for me” with that, the man looked baffled and confused. Has this woman gone insane???!?
