The Heiress - Chapter 7
Dressed in a shortwaist dress, she made her way back to the hotel in a taxi and called for the chauffeur to pick them there. When she arrived, she made her way to Mr. Cheng’s suite and knocked on the door. The door didn’t open so she knocked again, still, no one answered. She went down and asked for an another key card to the suite and entered, only silence filled the room.
“Mr. Cheng?” where could he be? Seeing as nobody was answering her call, she was about to get out of the room when she noticed something amiss. The suitcase he brought yesterday was on the couch, a medicine box was scattered on the floor and the bedroom door was slightly ajar. She opened it and found him laying on the floor.
“Mr. Cheng! Are you okay?” she put her hands on his forehead only to realize it was burning hot.
‘phew, it’s only a fever’
“Mr. Cheng, I will call a doctor okay?” just when she was about to dial the hospital, his hand struggled to hold her arm as he panted and said “no doctor”
‘but I am one…or I was one’ she was dwelling on whether to deal with him herself or not but soon found herself stupid for thinking that.
Being a doctor before, she knew the ins and outs of a fever like drinking water. She helped him up and threw him on the bed (an*: he was heavy, trust me) and prepared a basin with water and towel. She unbuttoned his clothes and started to pat him with the damp towel. She felt no emotion whatsoever as she didn’t pay attention to his body at all. Later on, the heat on his body lessened and she changed him but he still needed medicine. She got him sitting upright and placed the tablet in his mouth but he spat it out.
“Mr. Cheng, please drink your medicine”
hearing her call out to him, he tried to drink it again but it was to no avail as he fainted. Left with no other choice, she fed it to him which meant, mouth to mouth.
‘so soft…uuwaahhhhh’ she blushed
It was her first time kissing, no, doing this to a guy and it was hard not to mind it at all. Even thinking that it was part of training didn’t help.
She dressed him in new garments and covered him with a blanket.
…..
“Hello?”
“Good evening Sir Felipe, I am Anna Lin, the secretary of Mr. Cheng Ming-ha” she greeted
“Oh yes, are you coming?”
“I am sorry to inform you Sir Felipe that due to urgent reasons, we would have to delay this meeting. Would it be okay to reschedule this to next week?”
“alright. I hope you don’t disappoint me. See you next week” ending the call she was reminded that she needed to make one to another person.
“Grandpa Shi!!”
“yes darling Yin?”
“why didn’t you tell me that Ming-ha ge-ge was sickly?” she sounded exasperated
“oh, is he?”
“stop joking grandpa, you said you know everything about him” she scolded
“hahaha grandpa’s just kidding. Of course I know all, I’m just not telling you everything” he grinned
“argghhh because of me not knowing this tiny detail, I…I..”
“hmmm?you what?” he teased
!!!!
“….good night” with that she ended the call and went back to his room.
It was only until now did she realize that he looked exceptionally handsome when he was sleeping peacefully. ‘damn’ she thought as she blushed, remembering what happened.
Aaiizz, I should just go cook food for this sickly man
A few minutes later, she set her timer to ring after an hour to check up on him and she fell asleep a while later due to exhaustion.
…
Cheng Ming-ha woke up and realized that he was lying on the bed in his room, he sat up and was about to get out of the bed when he saw a tiny figure of a girl sleeping on the side of the bed. He was silent and tried to recall what happened to him. As he was thinking, Hui Yin’s timer rang and she suddenly sat up straight, she rubbed her eyes looking dazed and flustered as she blinked a few times then slapped herself awake. This action of hers wasn’t missed by the now awoken Cheng Ming-ha. Their eyes met and she blushed by what she did. Regaining composure, she placed her hand on his forehead and sighed in relief.
“Good evening Mr. Cheng”
“mmm” he nodded to her
“you had a fever so I moved the meeting with Sir Felipe to next week”
“mmm”
“I made you porridge and ginger tea, Mr. Cheng. Shall I get you some?”
“en”
Without saying another word, she stood up and went out of the room to prepare his meal.
While she was out, the man who was left in the room suddenly smiled. ‘cute’ he thought. He was so amused by the way she acted, that he couldn’t stop staring at her.
Hui Yin went back carrying a tray with a bowl of porridge and ginger tea and placed it on his bed.
He just looked at her then back to his food and ate in silence.
He still looks elegant and beautiful even when eating huh..Her gaze went back to his lips and she remembered how soft it was.He caught her staring at him and when their eyes met, she blushed in embarrassment and lowered her head. Not waiting for him to question her, she took out her laptop and started to work. It was quiet for a few minutes when she heard him place his spoon down, she took the tray back to the kitchen without a word and washed it. Going back to his room, she saw him gazing at the windows that were covered by the curtain and without waiting for his instruction, opened it for him to see view of thr city.
“I shall retire for the evening Mr. Cheng, good night” she said as she started to retreat from the room.
“Wait” he held her arm to stop her as she looked at what he did. If anyone saw this, they would think that the world is ending as they knew that he hated to touch women.
“Yes Mr. Cheng?” she asked, retracting her arm from his hand.
“stay”
