The coachman knocked on the carriage from outside. “Uhm… Cap? We’re here…”
“Oh, fuck!” Renya moaned, making no effort to hide her voice and clenching Kanae’s head tighter. “Give us a second… I’m getting close— I’m cumming! Aaaaahhh!”
Kanae kissed the pirate captain’s clitoris, bringing her to another orgasm. Their journey had finally come to an end for now, but they would be parting ways with a whole lot of… fond memories.
“Whew! Days’ long romp in a carriage, huh? Tally that up to another bucket list item I didn’t expect to cross out in my life,” Renya said while dressing herself
“You’re always remarking that I’m no ordinary succubus, but aren’t you the weird one for sleeping with a succubus?” Kanae asked, having trouble fixing his disheveled hair.
The captain pulled out a brush to help straighten out his tangled locks. Everytime the bristles ran through his hair and scalp, it was like an orgasmic pleasure all on their own. It seemed like there was always more to learn when it came to the pleasures of a woman’s body. Unlock one door and three more doors appear on the other side.
“Let’s just say I know how it feels to be an outcast. As the adoptive daughter, I’m not well liked by siblings who see me as a threat. I must prove myself harder than the rest,” Renya explained in a somber tone.
Before Kanae left, Renya threw a warm cloak over him that covered most of the succubus features except for the horns. Upon exiting the carriage, he saw the coachman’s tip his hat and was very red in the face. The guy spent the entire ride listening to them have sex in there after all.
It finally dawned on Kanae glancing into the city that he would have to venture into this place by himself. Aside from Port Kandis, this was the first real civilization he stepped into.
Orturic was a cozy place, with streets paved in moss-covered cobblestone, wood and brick homes raised in clusters, and the ambience of merchants barked at them from every street corner.
“You stay safe out there.” Renya grinned from the open carriage window. “If the Many are willing, perhaps we shall meet again on calmer tides. Or should you ever find yourself at sea, invoke my name to those who bear the tri-dagger flag.”
“Tri-dagger flag. Got it. Thanks, Renya! I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me!” Kanae waved to the departing carriage and received a thumb’s up that popped out of the window.
Inviting Renya to journey with him wasn’t just for the sake of having sex with her. He had learned several things about the Drain skill. Evidently, even though she was a higher level, the elven captain didn’t shrivel up or tire, nor did she need to take a potion like those assholes back in the cavern.
Drain might be affected by Kanae’s favorability with people. The more he liked them, the less viciously he sucked out of them. But that was only an educated theory so far. Additionally, sex to him was hunger to a person. He would starve without feeding regularly. The last thing he learned was kind of a bummer— gaining experience from a sexual encounter once from someone wouldn’t grant anymore thereafter.
“For now, I should probably find a place to live and try to use my powers sparingly. It would be bad news if people found out I’m a succubus,” Kanae muttered to himself.
Unlike Port Kandis where the majority of folks were laborers, there appeared to be marginally more adventurers here. At a glance, they mostly wore low-level equipment.
Despite having his horns showing, Kanae was able to fit right in thanks to the many beastman races going about their morning. As long as his tail and wings were hidden underneath the cloak, everything should be fine.
Kanae stumbled into a market square where wagons and stalls were set up to sell their merchandise. It occurred to him that he had no sense of worth in this world yet aside from being purchased for fifty million gold.
“Excuse me!” Kanae walked up to a bald man selling mouthwatering red and yellow fruit. “How much for one of those?”
“Five fer a gold, lass. Move it along if y’ain’t buying,” he huffed.
So at least in this town, one gold was enough for one meal. Though that was if someone was subsisting on just fruits.
Kanae caught the sight of a scowling beastman woman dressed in fine clothes leisurely walking through the marketplace. Judging by the excessive amount of jewelry, she most likely has some money to spare. When the woman turned in Kanae’s direction, he purposely bumped into her.
“Watch where you’re going, urchin!” she growled.
“Sorry, I won’t do it again.” Kanae bowed, then after confirming that she has no sigil on her wrist, he glanced up to meet her eyes. “Charm.”
As the effects of the spell took hold, her demeanor shifted to a more friendly one.
“Oh, you poor thing. Squalor does not suit you at all. I’m feeling rather generous today, so please take this as a small token of charity!” she exclaimed, handing over a thick pouch of gold.
Kanae thanked the lady for the gift and left the market before anyone became suspicious. He found a narrow alley to hide in to count the gold. 300 in total. More than enough to find some lodging.
“Spare some gold please…” A person in tattered clothing raised a rusty cup to passersby and was mostly ignored.
This gold wasn’t his to begin with. Couldn’t hurt to be a little charitable.
However, dropping a coin into the cup put Kanae face to face with Arenade, the demigoddess who roped him into this world.
“Geh. You, uh… have a nice day.” Kanae tried to leave but had his leg snatched by the elf.
“Y-You just reacted with disgust, didn’t you? Hey! Don’t ignore me if you recognize me!” Arenade cried, clinging tightly to him.
“I’m sorry, I don’t think we know each other! You must be mistaking me for someone else!” He was dragging her through the dirt at this point, and she still wasn’t giving up.
“There’s no way! You were turned into a succ—”
Kanae slapped a hand over Arenade’s mouth before she could utter another word. They had created a huge scene, drawing dozens of people’s attention to them.
“Okay, shut up! I recognize you. Happy?” He sighed.
The two hid behind a cluster of barrels for their reunion. Arenade was dining on an armful of fruits Kanae had bought from the market. She finished them all within minutes.
“What happened to you? What’s a divine being doing on the surface?” Kanae asked.
“That’s the thing, I’ve been stripped of my divinity!” Arenade cried. “That piece of shit Supreme One sent me crashing into the mortal world after Charron turned you into a succubus.”
He grabbed the elf by her cloak. “First of all, I can’t believe your brother is the demon lord. It’s been really hard on me— well, hard in both senses of the word— trying to make by as a succubus, you know? I’m only here because you kidnapped me from my world!”
“I’m sorry, alright?” She pushed him off. “The card I gave you activated on its own! Now I’m being punished even though it isn’t my fault.”
Suffice to say, the fallen demigoddess looked like shit. Nothing about her was divine anymore. Her long, golden hair was clumped together like wet seaweed. The glowing skin he last remembered was stained with dirt and sweat.
“So, how come you’re homeless? Couldn’t find work?” Kanae asked.
“Hah. People just couldn’t handle how bright my magnificent self was. I’m divinity. An ascended! I’m Arenade Brightwind, a demigoddess!” Arenade exclaimed loudly.
“Yeah, right! You’re just a delusional nutjob that begs for scraps!” someone shouted back.
The pouting, teary-eyed demigoddess had nothing to say in return because it was true.
This was like the Jesus Christ in modern day dilemma. Of course, no one was going to believe Arenade if she claimed to be a divine being amongst mortals.
“What really happened?” Kanae folded his arms.
“I tried to form parties at the adventurer’s hall… but no one likes being ordered around… soon no party would take me anymore… I wasn’t able to make money, couldn’t pay for my stay, and got kicked out into the streets,” Arenade explained, pressing her index fingers together in shame.
Already Arenade sounded like a handful to have around. To be perfectly honest, he would rather take his chances alone. However, just leaving her here was too pitiful. And being the only other person to know his identity as a succubus, there was a possibility she would oust him for leaving her in destitution.
Well, everyone had their uses, and Kanae had some ideas to make Arenade pull her weight.
“Lucky for you, I have some gold to put a roof over our heads for a while,” Kanae said.
“Really?” Arenade beamed, clutching onto him again like he was some sort of savior.
“On one condition,” he began. “You have to let me sexually feed off you whenever I ask.”
The fallen demigoddess’ smile flipped into a frown. Her hands snapped to clutching her own body instead and backed away, astonished that he would make such a request.
“How obscene! You would defile this holy temple like some… some… I was about to say succubus, but you are a succubus. Surely you find me too pure for your tastes?” Arenade hesitated to ask.
The porcelain-skinned elf was more voluptuous and had more volume than the slender Renya. Unlike dark elves, Arenade possessed an air of refinement and delicateness that tickled the sadistic side of his succubus hunger. Especially so because of her haughty and self-important attitude.
“On the contrary, I happen to think you would suit my palette just nicely,” Kanae said, licking his lips.
Rather than accepting, Arenade threw herself to the ground and pressed both hands together in prayer.
“O Supreme One. Your humble servant seeks forgiveness. I promise to do better if you will be merciful and grant me a second chance!” Arenade pleaded to the sky.
“Forgiveness? Are you kidding me?!” a powerful voice boomed from above, leaving Kanae and Arenade in a state of shock.
The two peeked out of the barrels, and it seemed like no one else had heard that just now except for them. They glanced at each other, sure of themselves that it wasn’t their imagination.
Arenade continued, “B-But, Supreme One—”
“No buts here! Your brother snuck in because you left the backdoor to the office open, and by extension, a hole in our magical barrier! This is your fault to begin with, so you shall be taking responsibility to help the hero… heroine? Help Kanae Toyomi defeat the demon lord, and I will consider reinstating your divinity,” the Supreme One stated with finality.
The demigoddess hung her head in defeat.
“Heh. Looks like someone got fired,” Kanae sneered.
“Nnnghh… AAAAHHHHH!” Arenade shook her fists in anger. “Screw you, old man! What kind of ‘Supreme One’ are you? More like slave driver! You don’t even pay us a livable wage; I’d make a better living down here anyway!”
Kanae expected a bolt of lightning to smite her in retaliation for cursing out a god, but nothing came. She then grabbed him by the shoulders, more strongly than he expected of someone with the appearance of a dainty woman.
“W-W-What?”
“You have a deal. We’re going to beat the crap out of my brother and stick it to the Supreme One!” Arenade declared.
“If petty revenge to get back at your employer is what it takes, then that’s good enough for me. What’s your level and class anyway?” Kanae asked.
When Arenade brushed the sigil, her character sheet left much to be desired.

Kanae bit back the urge to make fun of Arenade, so she grabbed him by his cloak and pouted.
“You wanted to say something about my stats, didn’t you? It’s not my fault. Blame that worthless Supreme One for—”
A thunderstorm formed unnaturally over their heads. Kanae slipped away from Arenade’s grasp just as lightning blasted her and the barrels, leaving her charred from head to toe. The clouds dissipated as quickly as they came.
“Hey!” a guard shouted at them. “No casting spells willy-nilly while in the city! I see it happen again, and you’re both getting thrown in the slammer!”
“Cough! Cough! Okay… Can we find a place to stay now?” Arenade asked.
Kanae brushed the ashes from her shoulder and sighed. “Sure. You seem like you’ve suffered enough for one day.”
