“There are people inside!”

Jonah said as he entered the compartment. The rest were stunned and then hastily followed. When they saw that there were other cocoons, they were certain that the bees were planning something.

[Ding! Quest updated: Save everyone from the beehive. Reward: Ultra-rare item. Difficulty: Hard. Due: 24 hours.]

‘So quest can be updated Furthermore, hard can differ from a quest to another?’ Jonah found it weird that the difficulty remained at hard. That can probably mean that it’s still difficult to break out, but he needed extra work, which is saving others.

“Brother Gorilla, do you have any other Talismans?”

“I only have one”

“Never mind then, let’s try to crack it open using physical attacks.”

Gorilla nodded and lifted his hammer up. With one swift motion, he slammed the cocoon. For a brief moment, the ground shook by the impact. Cracks, like a spider web, started spreading through walls of the cocoon. Jonah then used his telekinesis and moved the debris away.

Inside the cocoon lied an unconscious, armored, girl. She had a short her bangs being pinned by a hairpin to the side.

“Does anyone recognize her?” Gorilla asked the others who simply shook their heads. Gorilla walked over, lifted the girl up, and carried her.

At that moment, the girl finally woke up and she saw Gorilla’s face right before her. She was confused for a moment and Gorilla’s question snapped her out of it.

“Are you alright?”

“Uh Yes!” The girl nodded after pausing for a moment.

“That’s good. Can you walk?” Gorilla smiled and asked.

The girl was stunned before realizing that this person was carrying her. A faint tint of red bloomed on her face like a flower. “II’m fine.”

The girl freed herself from Gorilla’s arms and adjusted her armor. When she realized everyone was staring at her, she blushed even more.

“Thank you, I’ll make sure to repay you.” The girl said to everyone to break the silence.

“No worries, let’s get the others out.” Gorilla nodded and lifted his hammer.

“Brother Gorilla, break this one,” Jonah asked. The others were confused, as it wouldn’t make a difference. However, Jonah knew the person inside!

“Ben, wake up!” Jonah shook Ben trying to wake him up.

It seems the bees captured this group after them. That’s why they were unconscious till now. Jonah couldn’t have imagined that one of the group would be someone he knows. Luckily, he was able to notice the group of people.

“Brother Jonah? What What are you doing here? Were you also captured?” Ben woke up and asked with confusion. The rest of his team, who got out, were stunned. After all, everyone knew Ben to be a guy with a few words.

“We also got captured by the queen.”

“I see Thank you for saving me. I won’t forget that.” Ben nodded with a serious expression. Jonah was helpless with Ben as he was too serious for Jonah, but he still liked his honest personality.

The other team had 3 girls and 3 boys. One of the girls wore glasses and her hair was tied into a ponytail. The other was a tall swordswoman with a serious expression. The third, as well as the leader, was the girl to be first freed. Other than ben, the two other guys were a plain looking fatty and a handsome youth. However, the handsome youth didn’t thank them. They were also an E-ranked group, living in courtyard 93.

“Did you guys send a rescue message?” The leader, who her name turned to be Olivia, asked.

“We did earlier. The spiritual energy was being absorbed inside the cocoon, so we sent it after getting out. It should reach TSO.”

“Absorbed?” All of the team E-93 were stunned. Since they were unconscious, they didn’t know their energy was being absorbed. Gorilla started to explain the series of events to the rest. When the others head this, they also felt there was something amiss.

“We need to leave this place.” Norlan shot down another scouting bee and reminded. Several corpses of bees have already filled the entrance.

E-93 armed themselves with weapons and followed Jonah’s group out of the compartment. After walking for a while, they found another compartment with five cocoons. When they cracked them open, they found that the team has already died! All of them! Their bodies were thin like a skeleton with only the skin covering the bones. They were literally, milked dry.

When the group saw the corpses, all of them had nasty expressions. Leo, Jonah, and the fatty vomited when they saw them. After all, this was their first time seeing a corpse.

“It seems this group was captured long before us” Gorilla pilled the corpses together and kept the corpses in his spatial ring. Since they were no longer living, he can keep them in his space.

After a brief silence, the group decided to put the earlier incident aside and move on.

Jonah, on the other hand, kept checking the map. Because the group kept going up and down, Jonah concluded that the hive has many floors. It wasn’t difficult to have the system show a 3d projection of a sphere in the radius of 6 kilometers.

“Can anyone figure out where we came from?” After searching for a bit, Sana suggested. The others also agreed as they, too, have realized how big the hive was.

“I have a skill the can achieve that.” The girl with the glasses announced. Jonah learned her name was Kim.

The girl then activated her skill and her eyes turned amber. This skill was probably something similar to Jonah’s Spirit Tracking but was slightly different.

“This way!” The girl led the group after a moment and the rest followed.

After walking for a while, the group finally reached a slide heading sharply down. All of them realized that this hive was more complex than they imagined

All of the bees until now were simple bees at the fourth level only. However, after walking for a bit in the new floor, they encountered a different kind of bees!

“These These are the mutated Purple-Eyes Bees!” Fatty instantly recognized.

“Mutated?” Jonah frowned.

“When the Blue-Eyes Bees evolve from the third to the fourth level or from the sixth to the seventh level, there’s a chance of mutation. This mutation gives them different skills from what they originally have, although they’re also only at the Fourth Level.” Fatty explained. He seemed quite knowledgeable, as even Gorilla and the rest didn’t have such a detailed idea about the mutated bees.
