The Hunter That Returned From Hell - Chapter 89
“Boss, Lets run away. This guy is a psycho.” Said the tall man who couldn’t be compose in this situation anymore. He was truly shocked when he saw how brutally the skinny man was killed, he was too shaken up and just wanted to run away from Kang-Ho as soon as possible.
“We can’t run away from him have you seen his speed, he is way faster that we are, it is better to face this guy head on than running away. He will hunt us down one by one easily like picking fruits. But, if we attack him together, then there is a possibility that we can overpower him through sheer numbers. Running away is not an option here.” Said Hyun Bai, he wanted to run away too but he knew that doing so would make it easier for Kang-Ho to kill them. So, he decided to do what seemed logical to him.
“Alright, boss.” Said the tall man hesitantly, for him it was like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand he didn’t want to fight Kang-Ho but on the other hand he didn’t want to disobey any order from Hyun Bai. Both the option would lead him to his death.
“Alright then let’s attack, you go from right and you go from the left. Don’t use your skills recklessly, only use them when I tell you to use them.” Said Hyun Bai. He was prepared to battle it out with Kang-Ho. He was somewhat confident tat they might be able to defeat Kang-Ho if they followed his command.
Both the men who were with Hyun Bai nervously grabbed their weapon and prepared themselves for the battle. They knew now the battle was unavoidable, so they steeled themselves for what was to come. And attacked Kang-Ho.
All three of them were using short range weapons, so Kang-Ho was delighted. Kang-Ho loved fighting close range. All of them attacked Kang-Ho at the same time from three different directions. They were hoping to catch Kang-ho off guard, by attacking three different direction. They couldn’t believe Kang-ho could defend attacks from different directions at the same time. There was just one miscalculation on their part, they didn’t know that Kang-Ho fought hordes and hordes of monsters just to survive. For Kang-Ho fighting 3 people was nothing.
All three of them swung their weapon at the same time and attacked Kang-Ho, with swift movements he blocked two attacks from the sides, and from the front the tall guy was attacking Kang-Ho. Even when he attacked the tall man was very nervous, and as a result he was full of critical openings. Seeing the opportunity, Kang-Ho lifted his leg and kicked tall guy who was trying to land his attack on him. The tall guy never imagined being kicked while attacking, he was caught completely off guard. After being kicked in the gut hard by Kang-Ho, the tall guy fell to the ground on his back very hard.
As the tall guy fell down to the ground, the tall guy could feel something inside of him cracking, he could even hear the cracking sound clearly, at first the tall guy didn’t know what had happened, but after few seconds, when the tall guy tried to stand up, that was when he finally felt the excruciating pain that followed the ugly fall.
“AHHHHHHHHH” yelled tall guy in agony, he still had no clue what had happened to him, but the pain he was feeling at the moment was too extreme for him so he started screaming.
“Hey what happened?” Asked Hyun Bai after seeing the tall guy winch in pain. He trying to know if the tall guy was okay. But he didn’t hear a reply he just heard the scream. Hyun Bai still couldn’t figure out what had happened.
Kang-Ho didn’t want to lose this perfect opportunity, so he moved forward towards the tall man to finish the job.
“No stop, hey you use your blood rage.” Yelled the Hyun Bai to his other partner. The other guy was still in a state of shock, so Hyun Bai had to give him a little push. Finally, after coming out of his initial shock, the man used the skill that he was told to use.
The eyes of the man turned red and all the veins of his body popped up, the man looked weird after using the skill. On the other side the sword that Hyun Bai was using started to glow Blue.
Kang-ho prepared himself for danger, he didn’t dare to ignore any skills. Both of them attacked Kang-Ho. Even after using a skill called blood rage Kang-Ho was still not affected by the attacks. The skill just amplified his attack speed and attack power there were no other changes in the attack. Kang-Ho easily blocked the attacks from the guy, on the other hand Hyun Bai’s attacks speed was amplified, and his damage output was as well amplified.
Kang-Ho didn’t block Hyun Bai’s attacks, he just dodged every attacks Hyun Bai made. Kang-Ho’s daggers were greatly damaged after using those back mana, which was why he didn’t want to block any attacks with his dagger. Kang-Ho was not sure if the dagger could take such beatings. Kang-Ho had to be careful using his daggers inside of this dungeon as without the dagger he was going to be in a disadvantage. Although Kang-Ho also had experience in hand-to-hand combat but he preferred not to engage in a fight without a weapon.
Hyun bai attacked Kang-Ho once more, this time when Kang-Ho dodge Hyun Bai lost his balance and started to stumble, this was perfect for Kang-Ho who was searching for an opening. Finally, after getting one, Kang-ho pounced towards the man who was using blood rage.
Kang-Ho launched an attack on the man, when he did so Kang-Ho found a fatal flaw in the skill. It turned out that he had to exchange his reflexes and awareness of the surrounding for power and speed, the skill was trash in the eyes of Kang-Ho. He would never use such a disadvantageous skill, if there was one thing Kang-Ho was sure of was that inside of combat every aspect mattered, not just your speed and power, your reflexes and awareness mattered as much as well. Because of such short comings the man wasn’t even able to react to Kang-ho’s attack, which was precise and deadly.
The man didn’t even see the attack coming, as the dagger launched itself into the man’s neck, destroying everything that came on path. After sinking in the dagger Kang-Ho slid his dagger across the neck and made an arc. Blood started to pour out of the man’s body in high speed, he threw the weapon in his hand and grabbed his own throat trying to block the blood from flowing. Nothing he did was able to stop the blood from pouring out. Slowly the man succumbed to his death.
“F*ck no!” yelled Hyun Bai, after seeing one more of his man die. He couldn’t believe all of his plans were failing. It would be him who would die soon if this were to go on.
