The Hunter That Returned From Hell - Chapter 91
This dungeon was different from all the other he had gone inside, other dungeons didn’t have something that resembled like a house, or anything man made. But this dungeon was like being inside of a medieval castle, the walls were built with brown bricks like those which were used in ancient times. After examining the place Kang-Ho felt as if he was inside a house.
The room he was standing on seemed like some kind of a hallway, when he turned around to see what was behind him, he saw something familiar. As he turned around saw what resembled what seemed like a huge notice board, the difference was the board was entirely made out of marble white in colour, the marble seemed ancient it had a lot of cracks on it. The thing that he saw that was familiar was the words engraved on the marble, Kang-ho remembered that the words on the marble resembled the words that was engraved on the gate of the dungeon. although Kang-Ho couldn’t read what was written on the board he could see the similarities of the words both on the marble and the door.
Kang-Ho’s doubts about this dungeon were becoming clearer and clearer as time passed by. Kang-Ho threw all of that at the back of his mind, now was not the time to think of those things right now Kang-Ho had to clear this dungeon. Kang-Ho couldn’t wait anymore to see what challenges waited for him inside of the dungeon anymore. Kang-Ho looked at the board for some time and started moving straight opposite of the marble. From the looks of the place, it looked like how to move inside the dungeon was made clear Kang-Ho just had to walk straight towards the direction where he could see no road block.
As Kang-Ho walked a little lit while looking at the surrounding, he finally came to a stop. Right in front of him there was a huge door about the size of 8 meters in height, the door was closed. Kang-Ho inspected to see if there was anything that was supposed to open the door, but after finding nothing Kang-Ho finally gave up and started to push the door. As Kang-Ho tried to push the door he was surprised for being a huge door it was surprisingly light. So, Kang-Ho opened the door without any trouble. On the other side of the door Kang-Ho could see a room with a similar kind of layout, but in the middle of the room there were two statues looking towards his direction. Kang-Ho didn’t think of anything and he stepped inside the door, right when he stepped inside the room Kang-ho was amused by what he saw.
The two statues that seemed like they didn’t have life inside of them they suddenly opened their eyes, Kang-Ho figured that they would be his next opponent. Kang-Ho gripped his dagger and he became ready to fight the statues as he entered the room. But even after he entered the room the statues didn’t attack him, Knag-Ho didn’t know what was happening so he started to look around the room to see if he was missing anything. But, even after searching for a while Kang-ho couldn’t figure why were the statues not moving.
After some looking around Kang-Ho felt that the only thing that was out of place what the opened door, so he closed the door. And right after the door closed Kang-ho could see the black eyed of the statues slowly turning bright red in colour. Finally, Kang-Ho could see the information on the statues that were standing there.
[Clay Man
Level: 110
HP: —-
Created to guard a designated area from living creatures]
This was the first time for Kang-ho when he didn’t see any HP shown on the enemy, he didn’t know what that actually meant. Kang-Ho wanted to understand what he would be facing off against but it was too late, the statues started moving both the statues were carrying a spear and a shield. The weapons were real while the entire body if the statue was made of clay, only the eyes resembled like some kind of gem.
Although Kang-ho didn’t know what he was facing off against he wasn’t too worried as from the previous battles Kang-Ho had gained 5 levels. At first the movements of the statues seemed a little rusty but after sometime, they were moving fast. They didn’t waste any time, they charged towards Kang-Ho. They were moving very fast, they separated from each other while running, it seemed like they wanted to attack Kang-ho from two different sides.
Kang-Ho wanted to test the capabilities of these two statues so Kang-Ho moved to a different location very fast. Kang-ho was checking if they had any difficulty chasing a moving target, to Kang-Ho’s surprise the statues still chased after Kang-Ho even after he moved to different direction. When Kang-ho changed his direction they too changed their direction without slowing down.
They could bend their body whichever direction they wanted to serve their needs. Kang-Ho made note of that, it might create trouble for him when he faced the two statues. After inspecting them for a bit Kang-Ho found out everything he needed to know about them. It seemed that the statues had a fixed amount of speed which they couldn’t surpass, but on the other side they had a lot more flexibility. Kang-ho had to be careful while fighting them.
Kang-Ho finally decided to clash against one of the statues, he ran towards the statue while the other one chased behind him. When Kang-Ho reached near the statue he launched an attack towards the statue’s shoulder with his dagger. As he launched the attack it felt like the statue knew where the hit was going to land upon so he raised his shield to protect the area from getting hit.
The statue was successful on defending itself from the attack launched by Kang-Ho. At the same time when one of the hands was defending against Kang-Ho’s attack, the other hand that was holding the spear launched an attack targeting Kang-Ho’ head. Kang-Ho was surprised by the attack, it seemed like the clay statues were better fighter than compared to humans. Kang-Ho launched a attack of his own towards the arm of the clay man, before the spear reached near Kang-Ho’s head Kang-Ho had managed to land a hit of the arm of the statue. As Kang-Ho’s attack collided against the arm of the statue, Kang-Ho heard a sound similar to when someone punched sand. With that accompanied the sound of weapon falling down, Kang-Ho looked down towards the direction from where the sound was coming from and he saw clay lying on the ground with a spear. Looking up Kang-Ho found out that the statue was missing one of its arms.
‘That was surprisingly easy. There must be something missing I am still unaware of.’ Kang-Ho thought as he backed away from the statue, hoping to see what the statue would do next. As Kang-Ho backed away, to his surprise the statue didn’t pursue behind him. It just stood there like; it was waiting for something to happen.
