The Hunter That Returned From Hell - Chapter 94
‘This is going to take time’ Thought Kang-ho as his dagger pierced straight through the mead of the statue without stopping. Right then Kang-Ho had a very bad premonition, he felt that the core was located on different places on all of the statues. If what Kang-Ho was thinking was true then he would have to spend a lot of time to find the location of the core alone and after he finds that he would also have to keep the statue he is targeting isolated.
Kang-Ho felt this would take too much work and time to finish this room. Kang-Ho didn’t back away after not finding the core instead he slid his dagger through the body of the statue while dodging the statue’s attacks, after a little bit of searching Kang-Ho finally found the core inside the left arm of the statue. Kang-Ho had to move back after finding the core because the horde of statues were already behind him, ready to launch their attack at any moment.
Kang-Ho had to again run around the room to find the perfect opportunity to strike the statue again. Not only did Kang-Ho had to wait for the perfect opportunity he also had to keep track of the statue he had the target on. Waiting for the perfect opportunity was not the most difficult of a task whereas keeping track of your target was most difficult. Kang-Ho was having tough time keeping track.
Kang-Ho after some running around finally found the perfect opportunity to strike which he utilised perfectly, he pounced towards the statue and started his barrage of attacks on the arm he remembered where the core was on. After some struggle he finally managed to break the crystal and backed away immediately. Kang-Ho regretted the fact that he couldn’t use the black mana in this kind of situation, he could have finished this fight really easily if he could have used the ability in this kind of situation.
Kang-Ho kept repeating this process until none of the statues were standing, he was unsure of how much time he had spend in this fight. But he was sure of one thing he had wasted a lot of time he, Kang-ho was glad that the process was over. One time when he was running from the horde of the statues, he lost the track of the statue he had his eyes on that made him a little frustrated but he continued anyway.
‘I hope in the next room I don’t have to face the same situation.’ Kang-Ho hoped for the best as he started moving towards the next room.
Although Kang-Ho didn’t like the experience of chasing around the statues, but he would again do the same thing if he was to face the same situation. Kang-Ho didn’t like the struggle but there was something that he got from the struggle that he loved. After killing all the statues Kang-Ho managed to level up 5 more times. Kang-Ho loved the speed levelling. So that was the only reason why Kang-Ho would consider doing it again.
Kang-Ho was in for a surprise when he entered the next room, room was the same design but the room was larger in every aspect. The thing that surprised Kang-Ho the most was the ball that was floating in the air while producing light and warmth. What surprised Kang-Ho wasn’t that the ball was floating but Kang-ho could feel the mana that surrounded the ball, the mana was incredibly dense. Kang-ho could tell from a glance that the room was packed with mana because of the ball that was floating in the air.
Kang-ho had never before seen something like that ball, he couldn’t tell the origin of the ball, but he could tell from the looks of it that the ball was playing a huge role on keeping the dungeon active. Kang-Ho looked around the room he didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, but he did find out that there was no door on this room to go to the next room. Kang-Ho figured that this was the room where he would face his final opponent, but he wasn’t sure.
‘Again? I hope this time it is 4 times the experience.’ Thought Kang-Ho as he sighed. Kang-Ho saw about 8 huge core laying on the ground, he felt he would have to face the statues again as he saw the cores. The core he was seeing in this room were 4 times larger than the cores those statues had, so Kang-Ho felt there should be more experience.
Kang-Ho entered the room after sighing a once more. As Kang-Ho shut the door behind him, he got another surprise he wasn’t expecting. All of the cores started floating in the air as the clay from all around the room started gathering around them. At first Kang-Ho was confused but soon he was surprised.
Kang-ho waited until the process took pace and he was speechless seeing, the clay wasn’t turning into statues rather they were turning into a huge golem. The head of the golem was rather small on the other hand the arms of the golem was huge legs of the golem was small too from what Kang-Ho could guess the though the golem was about 10 meters tall. He was interesting in seeing what kind of offensive capabilities would a golem have.
Kang-Ho waited till the golem’s figure completed, he let the golem make the first move just to test what he was going to face against right now. Kang-Ho could guess he had to break all 8 of the cores to defeat the golem but he had no idea if he had to do something with the huge ball floating in the air.
Golem pounced towards Kang-Ho in high speed. If he had to compare golem and the statues Kang-ho would guess golem would be slower than the statues. But from what he saw Kang-Ho was shocked, from the speed that the golem was moving he felt that the golem was faster compared to the statues. Kang-ho dodged the attack of the golem right when it was going to land on him. As Kang-Ho moved the golem hit the ground with so much force that the ground where Kang-ho was standing before cracked. Kang-Ho could even feel the ground shaking where he was standing now.
Even after missing Kang-ho golem didn’t stop for a second it pounced towards Kang-Ho once more. Kang-Ho didn’t have any idea how to deal with this thing so all he could do for mow was to dodge and form a plan.
‘This is going to be a very tough one.’ Kang-ho thought as he saw the golem moving once again. The power that golem had behind all of its attack was something that Kang-Ho had never expected. The golem was fast on top of that it had a very powerful attack. Kang-Ho was pumped up he ran towards the golem, he wanted to check its reaction speed. Kang-Ho quickly ran behind the golem while dodging its attack, after he was behind the golem Kang-Ho launched his own attack. Kang-Ho’s dagger landed right at the back of the golem, the golem was unable to defend or react to the fast attack. So, one thing was clear golem’s reaction time was bad. But something happened next which left Kang-Ho flabbergasted.
