The silence of the night was broken by the footsteps which were heading for the dark alley. A tall and strikingly handsome man was casually walking along the path, not caring about any possible attention he may attract. He hummed under his breath as if expecting some happy news.
But his playful and devil may care attitude hid a cold, calculative mind. To other people, he was a random stranger minding his own business. Little did he know that his business was to know other people’s business.
“For he’s a jolly good fellow,” SD hummed as he walked into the darkness. “For he’s a jolly good fellow…”
He was heading for a door located in one of the alley’s buildings. It was hidden by the darkness of the night but SD knew exactly where it was. He took out a key and unlocked it.
Click!
The door unlocked to reveal a set of staircase spiraling downwards. SD locked the door behind him before descending into the bas.e.m.e.nt. The wooden boards creaked under his feet as he kept on going down into the endless abyss until finally, his foot landed on the ground.
There was only one room in that bas.e.m.e.nt. The greyish walls were peeling off while the stone floor was broken in many places. There were craters on the ground and the building itself was quite dilapidated. But in the middle of the room was a strange device.
It looked like an old, wooden high stool but instead of a flat surface, it had a sharp, pyramid shaped seat. And over the pointy head, sat a frightened old man who had been stripped completely n.a.k.e.d. His waist was wrapped with a harness which was tied to the walls via ropes. The man’s butt was directly above the pointy peak, not quite touching it but not too far from it either. Terror exploded in the man’s eyes as he tried to scream but his mouth was shut with tight metal bindings.
“Hello!” SD greeted cheerfully. “I hope you’re having a marvelous time here!”
The old man tried to beg for his life but the bindings on his mouth prevented him from doing so. SD watched him with his piercing blue eyes, uncaring of the old man’s distress. All he cared about was the information the man was hiding. He went to stand near a large wheel attached to the device.
“Now now Junshik,” he tutted. “You shouldn’t be screaming like that! The only thing you have to do is, give me information and I’ll let you go. You see, unlike the Cartel, I’m a man of my words…unless someone pays me to act otherwise.”
Junshik shook his head and tried to say something.
“Huh?” SD asked, feigning ignorance. “What did you say? The Cartel will kill you if you spill the beans? But Junshik, I really don’t think you’re in a position to think about what the Cartel might do to you since there are more…pressing matters right now. Literally.”
With that, he placed a hand on the wheel and began to turn it slowly. Junshik writhed as he was being lowered on the pointy peak which was touching the hole in in anus. Junshik’s eyes were screaming in terror as he was being lowered, the sharp edge entering his hole.
SD stopped steering and looked at him with his lazy eyes.
“We can do this the hard way,” he said. “Or you can give me the information and I’ll leave you hanging there, alive. After that, you can escape on your own and I won’t even care.”
He yawned. Late night jobs were not exactly his favorite thing to do since he preferred hsi sleep but it was a special request from Sunye. How could he even turn her down?
‘You’re lucky that I’m being lenient on you,” he said. “If it wasn’t the matter of my heart, I’d have unleashed hell on you.”
Junshik did not want to think of the hell SD was talking about. Only a few days ago, he was preparing to execute the President’s plan when he was suddenly knocked out and kidnapped by this blue eyed demon who was out to tear his ass apart.
SD smirked, clearly enjoying the anguish on the man’s face. It was pure joy to him. He teased the wheel, threatening to turn it any minute. Junshik may have been a professional assassin who killed people in cold blood but in the face of torture, he, too, would break. They all do. That was the beauty of human psychology. They were cowards by birth.
“Are you ready to answer my queries now?” he asked. Junshik nodded his head, fearful of the man who was even more sinister than the President of the Cartel. He had never thought it was possible but SD could probably kill the President and take over the business. But the man was interested in information only.
SD pressed a remote control and the lock on Junshik’s mouth clicked open. The old man let out a gasp.
“What is he planning to do at the party?” SD demanded.
“He’s planning to feed Kwon Jiwon something to induce a panic attack!” Junshik said at once. “And exactly at that time, a blackout will occur! While everyone will be busy with KJ, the Cartel’s men will swoop in and kidnap the CEO of Abyss.”
“Amateur plan,” SD scoffed and turned the wheel. Junshik let out a roar of agony as the sharp peak entered his butt, tearing into it. His insides were beginning to stretch and slight oozes of blood was coming out.
“It’s true!” Junshik yelled. “It’s true! He’ll take her to his mansion! It’s the only way you’ll find him! He wants Kwon Jiwon to come after him so that the President could kill both him and his wife there!”
“A distraction, eh?” SD sighed and stopped steering again. After years of staying in the business of trading information, SD could tell whether a person was lying or not. Junshik was not lying but was telling what he perceived as the truth. SD knew very well that the President had hidden his real plan from him as well.
“I just wasted my time,” he sighed.
“Please…” Junsikh whimpered. “Let me go…”
SD shrugged and turned around to leave.
“Wait!” Junshik begged. “Please let me go! Please!”
“If you’re let go, then the Cartel will find you and kill you,” SD pointed out. “You’re much safer up there…unless someone from the Cartel finds you here and decides to impale you with that. Oh and by the way, the more you move, the more that thing will enter your hole so I’d suggest you to stay still. If you can.”
Junshik was horrified at the man’s nonchalant attitude to his life. SD kept on walking, leaving the assassin behind on the sharp point.
