The Imperial Gods Daughter - Chapter 3
The hallways were something that was gave off a very satisfying vibe, aweing Ke YongAn to no end. They were dark coloured wood winding into patterns. The red ornaments above flowed alongside the gentle wind.
During this walk, Ke YongAn was left to her own thoughts. In all honesty, she still felt surreal about the whole situation, although she had resolved to herself to live as a substitute. Now that she thought about it…there was something occupying her body, and now she was occupying another’s.
Wouldn’t she have to pretend to the Xing’er in her actions and thoughts? Aiyo, that’s just weird…Ke YongAn shivered, even though she wasn’t cold.
They finally stood in-front of a room. It was isolated right in the middle of the palace. The environment around was calm and peaceful, a definite spot for cultivation. This will be where I live soon…The thought jolted Ke YongAn. She reminisced the time when she was alive. Melancholy covered her face.
“Life is so strange…” Ke YongAn murmured. Although Emperor Huang ZiYun heard this remark, he said nothing but gently pushing the door open.
The light trailed into the dim room. However, Ke YongAn’s jaws dropped.
The small room viewed from the outside actually bellied such a large size from the inside. Ke YongAn could not associate this as an illusion, for the inside was three times as big, the size of an apartment!
All around Ke YongAn could view the pampered and spoiled vibe, along with arrogance as the furniture was designed after a phoenix. Even through the sashes of red draped all around the bed, Ke YongAn could see a silhouette.
She could feel a suction force as her spirit body was attracted to that body.
“Good, good. The synchronization between your soul and the body is strong. There should not be many interruptions.”
Ke YongAn walked forth and parted the blinds. A face that reflected her own rested peacefully. Remembering Emperor Huang ZiYun’s words, her eyes traced the area of a woman. Resentfully, it was bigger, and a full cup size at that!
However, Ke YongAn normally didn’t care about how her body looked, so her resentment was let go quite easily. With Emperor Huang ZiYun’s guidance, Ke YongAn’s spirit slipped into the body. She felt sleepy and warm, the most comfortable place in the world.
Unfortunately, Ke YongAn was caught off guard as there seemed to be something attacking her soul!
“Agh!” Pain shot through her spirit, as though it was being cut open. Facing the adversary, she saw the spirit of Huang Xing, although the face was expressionless.
What the..?! Ke YongAn was unable to continue to ponder, for another blade had been created using Huang Xing’s hand and shooting straight toward Ke YongAn.
Knowing if she tried to block she would be cut straight through, Ke YongAn spiraled out of the way and realized instantly that she was more mobile in this strange place.
“Resist! It is a piece of will my daughter left behind. You should be fine when the will dissipates after a few moments.”
Emperor Huang ZiYun’s impeccable timing came through.
“Sure, if I can survive that long!” Ke YongAn spoke this outloud, dodging left and right from the sharp blades. When she spun back around, a scream was caught in her throat.
It seemed there was a last-ditch effort as nine blades simultaneously hacked toward Ke YongAn at different angles! The blades seemed too quick for Ke YongAn to follow, so she instinctively curled up into a ball, ready to feel the pain of being slashed apart.
This lasted for a moment.
Several moments.
Huh? Ke YongAn suddenly realized something. She pried open her eyes and saw that there seemed to be a barrier of some-sort protecting Ke YongAn. However, the barrier seemed flimsy, as it was flickering in and out of existence.
The blades glittered, trained on the moment the barrier would break apart. A kacha sound was issued as the blades drove deeper and deeper.
Fear rising inside Ke YongAn, she stole a glance at Huang Xing’s will. It was a pleasant surprise that it had begun to fade away.
Now it was a show-down of who would last longer.
The barrier collapsed further. Ke YongAn was extremely frightened and stood up, muscles taunt to flee. And then the strangest thing happened.
Just as Huang Xing’s will was just about to disappear, a strong vortex spun up inside Ke YongAn’s spirit. It first sucked in the docile blades, and then Huang Xing’s will, finally stopping when her stomach rumbled with satisfaction.
Now only Ke YongAn remained. Thus, she felt her eyelids involuntarily close and she drifted into unconsciousness. When her eyes opened, she saw herself staring up at the roof of a bed canopy.
She felt weak, as though this body was not her own(technically it wasn’t). With difficulty, she tilted her head to survey what happened.
Am I in Princess Huang Xing’s body?
“Congratulations.” The voice came at the right time. Ke YongAn felt angry. If she was warned beforehand, maybe something could have been done. Her spirit was about to be killed(if that could happen)! But, she didn’t snap out. Instead, she plastered on a small smile.
“This lowly one has reached his majesty’s expectations.” She spoke with a polite tone.
Emperor Huang ZiYun continued,
“Right now is still in the process of fusing. Therefore, it should still take a week until you are able to move regularly.”
“Okay.”
However, just as Emperor Huang ZiYun was about to leave the room, Ke YongAn remembered something.
“Wait! I mean, please wait for a minute Emperor Huang ZiYun.”
Emperor Huang ZiYun stopped his steps and turned around to listen. Seeing this, Ke YongAn continued,
“Can your soul eat things?”
Emperor Huang ZiYun paused to assort what he was about to explain.
“It is possible, but only when you have reached a certain level in cultivation, have a special technique, or possess the violet soul or above. A violet soul births a mythical power called the Violet Eye. This is why my daughter is able to split of piece of her will here even with an insufficient cultivation base.”
Eh? Does that mean that my soul didn’t each anything? But…I’m sure that’s what happened. Ke YongAn opened her mouth in preparation to speak, but could not find the words.
Nevermind. I’m sure I’ll figure it out in the future. Ke YongAn thought. With that, Emperor Huang ZiYun left, leaving Ke Yong to her own thoughts for the moment.
