- Chapter 6 The Heaven Dao Academy Examinations Part 3
“If I say I’ll step off the arena of my own accord, would you let me go?” Ke YongAn tried to negotiate. She did not want to fight a losing battle.
“Hehe, only if you let me hug you the whole way.” One of the perverted ones said, his eyes ambiguously roamed her developing curves.
This set off anger in Ke YongAn. When talking about taboo matters with women, you have to be prepared for extreme retaliation. Ke YongAn dropped her negotiation. Even if this is a losing battle, I’ll beat you to the ground first!
Ke YongAn glared at the group as her fury flared. She played a little scheme.
“Fine.”
The group smiled laviously and advanced closer. Ke YongAn endured and began to walk slowly to the edge of the arena. A hand swerved around her waist, causing Ke YongAn to tense. But she forced herself to endure.
A few metres away for the edge, Ke YongAn suddenly elbowed the man who was holding her waist, and instantly pivoted, kicking the doubled-over person out of the arena.
Unable to react in time, the group was stunned.
“Today I’m going all out, so you’re not going off unscathed!”
Ke YongAn tapped her feet and exploded forward at an extremely fast speed. Since the distance was too close, the group was not able to evade or surround her in time.
“You dare!” One of them shouted in anger, using his aura to try and deter Ke YongAn.
“I do!” Ke YongAn answered back, dropping low and sweeping a kick from the man trying to land a punch.
Like a snake, Ke YongAn evaded their attacks every time but attacked fiercely, giving them no time to take a breather.
Now, in the Qi Strengthening Stage, there were very little amount of techniques dedicated to be able to use Qi, only cultivation techniques to strengthen the body. Therefore, there was always a vast difference between those who know martial arts and those who don’t in this stage.
Of course, even if one knew martial arts, it would still be difficult to fight those whose rank was above your own since they were faster, stronger, and more flexible. Not to mention their stamina.
Although you could still release Qi outside your body, it only worked as a deterrence and nothing else.
Ke YongAn found an opening and kicked a few into the air where they had difficulty moving their limbs from the force.
Her leg swept and kicked them so hard that their ribs broke as they were sent flying out of the arena.
Startled, the ones observing the battle royal hurriedly evaded out of the way from the shooting stars.
It was at the corner of the arena, so not many were paying attention at first. But as continuous screams rang out, many took a glance. And they had to glance there again just to confirm what they saw.
Even those in the 7th rank were a little fearful, not to mention those in the 6th rank.
After kicking all of them off the arena, Ke YongAn was slightly out of breath. But she also felt a new wonderful feeling spread to her ego. A grin was planted on her face and she had not one ounce of sympathy to the rolling figures on the ground.
So, it seemed she didn’t need to fear those in the 6th rank. However, if no one attacked her, she would not attack back.
Time passed yet again when some 6th ranks determinedly stepped toward her direction. There were only 40 left in the arena, creating a large space. The only 5th rank left was Ke YongAn. They all wanted to become the sole champion and be noticed by the Heaven Dao Academy. If this happened, they would have more cultivation resources and consideration. Such a smooth road…no one dared to say they didn’t want it!
Against a sole opponent with so many allies, one could predict who would win.
Ke YonAn struck out like a shadow, and filled with confidence, the power in her attacks increased. However, being overconfident was never a good thing. Soon, she was hit, and she stumbled, causing more hits to rain down. Not wanting to lose this opportunity, the others all switched to the offensive and blows cascaded down rapidly. Ke YongAn quickly evaded, but a few still landed, causing her to feel extreme pain as her bones trembled.
Regaining back extra caution, Ke YongAn surveyed that half of the group of 40 actually came to target her.
Ke YongAn did not dare to attack wantonly, using the Evasive Snake arts to dodge the jointed attacks. When she saw an opportunity, she attacked fiercely like an eagle’s talon.
Slowly but surely, the group number dwindled. However, Ke YongAn was becoming to becoming weary from her tensed focus.
Suddenly, she felt an aura three times as powerful of a 6th rank. Fear creeped up her spine as she pinpointed the aura. She pivoted and her palm collided with a metal plate. The force pushed her back as her arm couldn’t help but turn numb. Ke YongAn looked up to see who the assailant was.
7th rank! It was a 7th rank, Body Strengthening stage. And by the looks of it, he was a treasured genius of a family, and thus knew martial arts as well.
Not daring to get close in fear of being hit, the 6th ranks scattered, leaving the two their own small space.
“Impressive to be able to block my attack. Which family are you from?” The voice was extremely arrogant from the boy. In fact, the boy might be a year younger then Ke YongAn, giving him the right to be so conceited.
“Why did you attack me?” Ke YongAn asked a question of her own quietly. Of course, because senses were enhanced dramatically when one breaks through into the 7th rank, he could pick it up.
7th rank was different from the 6th rank. If a 6th rank encountered a 5th rank, the 6th rank would have an upper hand. But if a 7th rank met a 6th rank…it would be complete dominance.
“It would soil everyone’s reputation if a 5th rank got into the top 10 filled with those in the 8th and 7th ranks.”
“So you’re telling me it’s because you want to keep face? But that still doesn’t make sense.” Ke YongAn shook her head.
“The reason doesn’t matter, does it? Remember the name Du Jian, the champion of this batch!”
Ke YongAn tensed as the person disappeared from the spot. If she wasn’t in the middle of the fight, Ke YongAn would think that this person was too arrogant and did not put anyone in his eyes.
Like a whirlwind, Ke YongAn only had a limited time to react before a blow was aimed at her face. She did not dare to get hit straight on, so her hand hit the side of the arm as she bounded several dozens of meters away.
These frinkin’ clothes! Ke YongAn never approved of beautiful or elegant clothes, as they often times restricted movement. But because she was acting as Princess Huang Xing, it would be strange if she didn’t wear them all the time. Even in the worst or serious of cases.
Everytime the arrogant boy moved, Ke YongAn moved to. She currently wasn’t even thinking when she exchanged blows and escaped, as she didn’t have the luxury to. But she was getting tired, against the boy who just kept getting faster.
Perhaps…I will get down the stage this time?
