The Initial Skill Is Too Convenient and Life in the Otherworld Is Too Fun! - Chapter 10.2
During the morning training session in the guild’s basement the next day, Guldo-san approached me. “By the way, I heard from the master that you’re going to work as a tutor at Ars’s place?”
“Yes, honestly, I don’t have much confidence, but I’ve decided to do it for just one month, for the time being.”
“I see… Well, if it’s Lark, you’ll manage somehow. By the way, how are you going to get to the castle?”
” I’m still not sure. When I told Ars-san that I would take on the job, he didn’t give me any detailed explanation and just went home.”
” He’s still the same old careless guy…should we go ask master about it?”
After finishing our training session, Guldo-san and I headed to the guild master’s room together. When we entered the room, in addition to Fia-san and Lala-san from yesterday, Ars-san was there as well.
“Oh, Ars-san?”
“Hey there, Lark-kun. Oops, I forgot to talk about the date and time yesterday,” Ars chuckled carelessly.
Guldo-san approached him with a question. “We want to continue Lark’s morning training, but if he has to take a carriage, he won’t have time for that. What should we do?”
It was not Ars-san, but Fia-san who answered Guldo-san’s question. “That’s no problem. I’ll teleport Lark-kun to the castle.”
‘It’s nice of her to offer, but is it okay to ask the guild master to do something like that?’ I checked with Lala, who was sitting next to me. “…Is it okay, Lala-san?”
Lala replied, “Yes, it’s fine,” along with a soft smile.
‘Alright, I’ll take her up on her offer then.’
After deciding on the transportation method, the conversation shifted to when I would start working. When I said that it would be fine to start anytime, Ars was overjoyed.
“Really? In that case, can you come starting from tomorrow? You don’t have to rush in the first few days, take your time and teach her slowly without getting too worked up.”
“Yes, understood. I will also prepare for tomorrow.”
“Great, thank you. Well then, I came here during a break from work, so I should head back soon,” Ars-san said before leaving and disappeared in an instant.
‘Now, if I’m going to teach, I need study materials. Of course, I think there are some in the castle, but the reference books I’ve been using so far have been quite easy to use, so I wonder if I could borrow them from Fia-san.’
“Um, Fia-san. Can I borrow some books for class?”
“Sure, take whatever you like.”
Since Fia-san kindly agreed, I gratefully took some reference books from the bookshelf and put them in ‘Useful Box’.
‘Now that I don’t have study time today, maybe I should start organizing the warehouse early. Even though I’ve taken on the job of a private tutor, I asked for the warehouse organizing job, so I intend to continue it for a while. It would be just in time for me to organize the warehouse at the end of the morning training, have lunch, and then make my way to the castle.’
On my way down the stairs to the basement, Guldo-san called out to me, “Lark, don’t overwork yourself too much.”
“Huh?”
“You have morning training, the warehouse organizing job, and now you’re going to work as a private tutor. It’s too much work for a child. Don’t neglect your health, alright?”
“Oh, yes. But I’m eating properly and going to bed early at night, so I’m fine,” I reassured him, but Guldo-san still looked worried.
