The Insatiable - Chapter 14
This started when Nanako found out about Yasumi and how Haruhiro decided to accept her as his woman. At first, she was in doubt whether this would actually work.
Knowing her adopted daughter’s temperament, she knew that Anna would crazily compete with Yasumi. Evidence proved her right. The two fought each other by always sticking close to Haruhiro and keeping votes. The votes are about whether Haruhiro preferred the other person doing this, or the other person doing that.
However what surprised her is that that’s all the fight of the two girls would amount to. She thought there would be more cursing and physical battles now and again. Nanako can’t believe that the way the three are living right now is quite harmonious.
Seeing them like this she found herself feeling uncomfortable. However, she didn’t dare to voice it out and so she can only smile at their antics. What she didn’t know is that Haruhiro noticed the sadness in her eyes.
It was a night ago that he confronted her. Nanako was drinking red wine because she couldn’t sleep. She was thinking about all the things that are to happen, how society will collapse and how zombies will threaten humanity.
Nanako didn’t notice Haruhiro sneaking up on her. She only did when he was already seating right beside her on the sofa. Nanako was quite flustered because of his sudden arrival but quickly calmed herself down, showing just how mature she is as someone who’s been through a lot.
“Can’t sleep Haru-chan?”
“No, not really. I was waiting for the two to fall asleep so that I can talk to you privately Nanako-san.”
Nanako was quite surprised by this but then immediately said in a teasing manner, “Ara ara? Is it something for-bid-den Haru-chan~?” Nanako smiled as she emphasized the “forbidden” part. However, Haruhiro remains unphased by her teasing and his serious expression remained. His red eyes stared at her making her heart skip a beat.
Haruhiro’s red eyes no longer returned to its former black color since the night he killed Matsumoto Riku and his thug friends. He suspects that the moment his shadow swallowed them whole it made this change, permanent.
“I don’t know Nanako-san, is it something that you can’t say to us? You’ve had this look on your face and I don’t like how it’s making you sad Nanako-san.”
His warm words quickly brought tears to Nanako’s eyes. Haruhiro panicked seeing her cry and he didn’t know what to do, however, his panic was quickly replaced by surprise. Nanako dove into his embrace and sobbed uncontrollably. He felt his clothes get stained by her tears.
“Nanako-san?”
“Be… *sniff*… Be quiet..”
Haruhiro then tacitly agreed to her domineering request. He silently stayed there with her and stroked her back using one of his hand as he pats her head.
Minutes passed and Nanako removed herself from Haruhiro’s embrace, her usual carefree demeanor already back. However, seeing Haruhiro’s wet shirt and remembering how she cried in his embrace made her feel embarrassed. Though she somehow managed to hide it in front of Haruhiro and appear calm on the surface.
“Can you tell me about it Nanako-san?”
Nanako hesitated but still, she opened her mouth and started telling Haruhiro about the matter that’s been bothering her.
“I’m a bad mother Haru-chan.”
Haruhiro’s brows raised when he heard this. ‘Is something wrong with Anna? Did Nanako-san and Anna fight? It doesn’t seem that way though.’ He felt doubtful so he kept quiet for now and waited for more information.
“Did you know? The marriage between Kashimoto-san and I was arranged by my family. They realized that Kashimoto-san is a valuable talent and they wanted to pull him into our family. What better way to do that than to marry him into the family? I quit college and married him.
At that time I was in love with someone else, he was a high school classmate of mine. We were already going out when the matter about my marriage was decided by my family. They forced me to leave him behind, they even went as far as threatening his safety. We never saw each other again or at least that’s what they thought.”
Nanako paused. Her eyes that’s staring at Haruhiro is filled with complex emotions.
“We were secretly meeting each other, during that time he already had a family of his own. I was happy. Even if we couldn’t be together at least we can spend time just like that. It didn’t last long however, my family found out. Kashimoto-san got mad, he couldn’t take it out on me so he did it to his family.
He first got the person I loved killed. Then, did you know? He raped his wife before sending her to a brothel somewhere, I found out that she didn’t last long there. The last thing he did was to send their only child to an orphanage, Kashimoto-san had already calmed down by then and believed the child did nothing.
You know Haru-chan? That person I loved. His name was Sato Katsuya, Haru-chan.”
Haruhiro was silently listening to Nanako tell her story when she mentioned the name Sato Katsuya. It was like lightning striking him, his mind swirled with different thoughts.
The original Haruhiro believed his parents to have died from an accident. However, this story made him believe otherwise. His father’s name was Sato Katsuya and his mother was Chiba Himari. They were both ordinary office workers, at least that’s what has been recorded in the records and what he has been told.
‘Is that why Nanako-san has always been kind to me? Is it because I’m like a son to her or something?’
His thoughts continued to swirl inside his head.
“Fufu. The reason why I acted kind towards you no longer matters does it?”
What she said echoed in his head and he couldn’t help but agree. What does it matter? A debt is a debt. He’ll repay it to her for taking care of him.
“But you see Haru-chan… These past few days did you know? I could have told my family about you, I could have even told Kashimoto-san but I didn’t. Telling them would help my family and even saved them but I didn’t. Why? Because if what you said is really the truth then won’t that mean I’ll be able to break free? If the world ended…Then breaking free from everything…”
Haruhiro was startled. Nanako’s voice sounded a bit… Different. He looked at her and found that her eyes seem to have… Changed. The black irises changed to blue, it wasn’t like the blue that Anna has, however. It didn’t look like the pure bright blue sky, Nanako’s eyes seem that of a sky turning into night.
Before he could react, however, it disappeared as if nothing happened and he heard Nanako continue.
“Free from the helplessness? Free from having to act as if everything was fine? Free from a family who only treats me as nothing? From a husband I never loved and a life I never wanted?
It won’t just be some dream anymore. I can do what I want. However, do you know what’s most important?
I can finally give them what they deserve. This hatred that’s been inside me for so long… How could I have possibly let it go just like that? They murdered the person I love, held his son hostage so that I couldn’t fight back, and made sure that nothing remains of him?
I’m going to make them suffer. They’ll suffer for the pain they caused me.”
Up until the last part, her eyes continue to flicker from black to blue again and again. Haruhiro even somehow imagined that the flickering of her eyes’ colors symbolizes her sanity. Tears fell down her eyes uncontrollably as her breasts heaved high and low.
“Don’t you agree with me Haru-chan? After all, it was them who killed your father and your mother. Do you not want justice for them Haru-chan? Do you not want the world to burn alongside them? ”
‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, ‘ is what’s Haruhiro is thinking. He doesn’t know if this quote is suitable for the situation right now but he did learn that he should never anger his women like this, or for sure there will be hell to pay.
He thought about what she said and shook his head. He then looked at Nanako as he smilingly says, “The thing is Nanako-san… I don’t remember my parents so I don’t feel that much about how they died or anything but you… I know you. I’ve known you for my whole life.
You took care of me, worried about me. Of course, I’m mad. I’m mad at the way they treated you, mad at how your eyes looked sad. You see Nanako-san, now that I have the power to change our lives. I need to make those who made you cry pay for their mistakes.”
Those words of Haruhiro was like a hammer that smashed something inside Nanako’s body. She lunged her body forward, she then embraced Haruhiro so tight that even with his improved body he felt uncomfortable. That tight embrace from her lasted for a few minutes, he didn’t say anything and only stroked her back and patted her head just like earlier.
When they separated, he heaved a sigh of relief from being freed but he was then caught off guard as her arms wrapped around his neck. Her lips pressed onto his, he felt his mind exploding from the shock.
It was then brought to cloud nine as he tasted that small tongue she entered inside his mouth. That little thing moved around his mouth as she greedily sucked his saliva. When Nanako could no longer catch his breath, that’s when she decided to stop.
Haruhiro saw the lusty expression on her eyes and his dragon raged inside his pants. Her flushed cheeks and the drool still hanging at the edge of her mouth made this 38 years old woman even sexier than before.
“Nnah~ Haru-chan~. It’s because of you, you just keep on making that expression on your face. Haru-chan~ I told you I’m a bad mother, I’m doing such naughty things with you behind my daughter’s back.”
