The Invincible Hero - Chapter 56
As B’wiri gripped her sword she sent a message to the four young men.
“Be careful, I think the Prince is colluding with the Fiends. These soldiers are probably Fiends. We’re being set up. If you can kill the Prince, kill him. However, our main priority is to escape. Watch for my signal.” B’wiri said.
“You made the wrong choice Amazon!” roared Immortal Rothgrave. The third Prince just smirked at her as he ordered his men to fight Tower and the Gun brothers. He joined with his men but hung back. He remembered these three monsters from the competition. In no way did he want to go toe to toe with them. He would hang back and wait for them to get tired out. Once they were tired he would step in and finish them off.
Tower understood this coward’s plan immediately. Instead of playing along, he and the Gun Brothers formed their fighting array. This fighting array was taught to them by B’wiri after seeing their excellent teamwork. It was called the Smashing Snake Array. The array formed a triangle for piercing formations by gathering the kinetic energy of the warriors and focusing it at a point. It was fast, easy to use, and extremely flexible.
Tower and the Gun brother’s pierced through the soldiers and were quickly closing in on the Third Prince. The Third Prince was so surprised by their speed; he was forced to turn and run. However, he didn’t run fast enough as the edge of Tower’s longsword was able to cut a big slash across his rear end. It would leave a deep scar and commemorate the cowardice of the Prince.
Immortal Rothgrave saw this and sighed inside. Now he understood why the Emperor decided against letting this son be considered for the throne. He was a coward and weak. The more he thought about it, the more he started to wonder if the Amazon was telling the truth. It was hard to believe that an Amazon would become a Fiend, but a cowardly Prince with no hope for the throne. That was a real possibility.
Even still, he wasn’t going to take any chances. He could always apologize to the Amazons. Would they really go to war over this knowing how much they hated Fiends? He doubted it. Even if they did go to war, he wasn’t lying when he said the Empire wasn’t scared. Of course, if he understood the power of the Amazons, he might have been scared.
Killing the Crown Prince would be hard to pull off once they got back to the palace. However, if he died in battle here, it would make things easier. Immortal Rogthgrave decided to back off a little and give the potential Fiends a chance to kill each other. Taking a step back, the Immortal Rothgrave gave B’wiri some room to breathe.
B’wiri watched Immortal Rogthgrave trying to understand his thoughts. She saw him looking at the Third Prince. He must want us to kill him, this piece of garbage. I was formerly very respectful of this man who was a nemesis of all Fiends. It was disappointing to realize that he did his killing like a politician.
B’wiri had a coy smile. B’wiri left Immortal Rothgrave and spoke directly into the Prince’s mind.
“Little Prince, you’ve overestimated yourself,” said B’wiri.
The Prince saw B’wiri coming towards him. He was shocked, what was Immortal Rothgrave doing? Looking around, he finally found the Immortal was sitting on a large rock watching the fight. This man is going to let them kill me! Just because he mildly suspects me, he’s going to allow these people to kill me. Fine, You can die here as well.
The Third Prince held an Immortal Communication stone and informed Kan Je of what was happening. After a few moments, Ken Ja sent back a message for the Prince to wait for reinforcements. The Third Prince wasn’t sure if he could rely on Kan Je. He only followed the Fiend path and agreed to help because he didn’t want to die. Of course, he also realized he must hold some value to them since they went through so much to draw him out and trap him. He didn’t believe he completed whatever purpose they had for him. This being the case, he felt reasonably confident enough to put some hope in his Fiendish allies.
“Are you going to kill a mortal?” asked the Prince.
“Do I need to? Whether I kill you or Rothgrave kills you, it doesn’t matter. You probably won’t make it out of here today alive. Not unless you have Fiendish help on the way. Of course, that would completely out you as a Fiend. Oh, I know, you plan on killing Rothgrave.” B’wiri bent closer in a conspiratorial manner and half whispered, “Don’t worry buddy, your secret’s safe with me.” She said as she winked at the Prince.
The Prince was both surprised and angry at how this woman was treating him!
“Hey Rothgrave, I know you’re comfortable over there, but have you considered what you’re going to do when this kid’s reinforcements show up?” asked B’wiri.
“Don’t worry about me woman, worry about yourself. I’m going to enjoy killing you! Why don’t you hurry up and finish off this brat for me?” asked Rothgrave.
“So you are plotting against me! I didn’t bring you here to conspire against me! I thought you wanted to kill Fiends, I brought you Fiends but you’re going to kill me instead?” said the Prince. He was totally outraged by Rothgrave’s actions.
“Listen, Prince, I’m not some tool you can just play with. You brought me to this woman, staged this scene, and tried to get me to do your dirty work. You think I’m an idiot? I think it’s seventy-five percent more likely that you’re working with the Fiends than she is. The only reason that I’m going to kill her to is because…”
“You’re too lazy to actually investigate whether what he says is true.” smiled B’wiri. This man was totally despicable. Who did he think he was kidding?
“I would rather be safe than sorry, that’s all, try not to be too offended.” mocked Rothgrave.
“I really don’t care Rothgrave, you only have a couple of minutes at most until the Prince’s helpers get here. I’ve already sent a message to the Amazons that you were conspiring with the Fiends to attack us Amazons. After you’re dead, you’ll only be remembered as a traitor. Even if you somehow live, I’m sure your enemies will use your better safe than sorry approach to deal with you.” B’wiri laughed and mocked both the Prince and Rothgrave.
During the chatting, Tower and the other three finished cleaning up the Prince’s warriors. They climbed into the carriage. B’wiri sat on top of the carriage and it began to speed through the forest at full speed.
“Did I give you permission to leave?!” Roared Rothgrave. B’wiri merely smiled and pointed behind him. When he looked back he was shocked to see a squad of fighters on horses rushing in their direction. He was shocked after sensing the cultivation levels of those coming from behind. There were two immortals and everyone else in the squad was at the Master Realm Perfect level of cultivation!
“Shig, you little Fiend, you set me up!” shouted Rothgrave.
“You were right about me, I am with the Fiends, but I’ll use your body as evidence against B’wiri. I would let you live but, it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to you cultivators!” The Prince laughed madly at this immortal he grew to hate so much. If Rothgrave just played his part he would have lived longer. The man was too confident in himself.
Understanding the situation, Rothgrave began to chase after B’wiri and her group, he could at least fight beside the Amazon and preserve his life. He no longer cared about killing her, she was his lifeline at this point.
“Wait, fellow Immortal, I was wrong, don’t leave me, you were right! They’re all Fiends. Shouted Rothgrave as he chased after the Low Rider Carriage.
The Fiends arrived. Surprisingly, Kan Je was not among them. It was a totally different group of Fiends. The two immortal Fiends walked up to the Prince to find out what was going on. After hearing how things turned out the pair were furious about this Rothgrave. They may not be able to catch up to that carriage, but they would kill that Rothgrave for sure!
Fiends hated having their schemes seen through and Rothgrave was already on their kill list. They were surprised by his character. What an A-hole.
The two immortal Fiends decided to chase down Rothgrave, the others they brought with them were too slow to catch up. However, it was agreed that the Prince would meet them at the Rock Water sect to stir up trouble.
After they finished handing out orders, the pair of Fiends, Martin and Abby rushed to catch up to the fleeing Rogthgrave. Martin and Abby were actually pretty high ranking Fiends. Both were at the eighth level of the Immortal stage or Elemental Core Realm Perfect Level as it was commonly called. Both lacked just a little more for their cultivation to reach Elemental Avatar Realm Initial level.
On this continent that was an impressive cultivation level. Everyone below the True Core cultivators Realm called everyone at the True Core Realm and above ‘immortals,’ it didn’t mean they could live forever. They had a much longer life energy. If they could it to the Completed Core Realm they could live up to two thousand years. That was on top of the five hundred years a Master Realm cultivator could live. Master Realm cultivators were the last stage of cultivation for those in the Mortal Realm. B’wiri was also at the Elemental Core Realm but she was only at the Peak level.
The two immortal Fiends rushed through the forest chasing after Rothgrave. Rothgrave could just barely see the back of the Low Rider Carriage. He desperately wanted to catch up to it. He hoped they would stop and let him on, but B’wiri just looked at him coldly.
Rothgrave wasn’t sure what he would do if he caught up, with the way B’wiri was looking at him he felt sure she wouldn’t let him on willingly. Would she go so far as to attack him if he tried to get on? He didn’t know, but he knew that this was his best option to survive. Just as he was thinking this, he heard a rushing sound behind him.
“Wow, this Rothgrave is really fast at running away. I thought he wouldn’t be so cowardly. Come on little Rothy, why don’t you stay and play?” Abby said with a vicious smile. She loved mocking others and toying with them. She was vindictive and hateful. Her brother Martin just laughed. She had always been like this. She hated everyone, he suspected she even hated him. However, he loved to watch her destroy people.
Abby took out a bow and arrow and shot at Rothgrave. The arrow flew true and shot him in his behind! Rothchild grabbed at his backside as he tumbled to the ground. Laying on the ground he looked up watching the carriage speed away. He didn’t know who he hated more at this moment. The Fiends who were about to kill him or the Amazon who smiled mockingly as he fell. Of course, there was one more person to hate and that was himself for making himself everyone’s enemy.
“Nice shot!” Martin complimented his sister.
“Yeah, I think I shot him in his brains!” She laughed evilly.
