The Invincible Hero - Chapter 96
The remaining group of people, including Master Compassion, made their plans and agreed to return to the sect to settle matters before they made final decisions.
Leaving the “secrete realm,” the surviving cultivators either went to their new school, became elders at other places, or went somewhere else.
Eight months later, B’riri and Tower welcomed their first child. They named him Paneneko Malkus after their lost friends, late at night Tower just called him Pane.
A month after the ‘secret realm” tragedy they sent their clones back to Earth with the aid of Master River who was contacted through Master Compassion, they were given a map and were able to finally arrive.
Lorne confronted his father about the Life Training and after his father unapologetically shrugged his shoulders he went back to Mary and reunited with his family. He was stunned to learn he was already betrothed to several different women. Among them were Marcia Mathews and his ex-girlfriend Darwina Wright known to the world at large as the Pretty Pugilist. Darwina was also his Zug. Poor Big Time who was trained to be his Zug was forced to become one of his generals. A new woman was trained to become Queen Mathews Zug. Her Zug wasn’t human, she was a Ziwub from another part of the galaxy. The Ziwub were fiercely intelligent, logical, and loyal. Loranna, Marcia’s Zug, was chosen after the Emperor held a women’s strength test in the Earth Galaxy. The Galaxy’s name was changed to the Longoak Galaxy after Lorne’s human name.
Lorne fiercely fought with his father over the matter of establishing his own Empire. After fighting and back and forth they eventually reached a compromise where Lorne offered various planets and galaxies the opportunity to join a coalition of governments ruled by Lorne. Instead of an Empire like his father’s Lorne would create a Democratic Republic which he would lead at first as King and eventually as Emperor. The Empire would be called the United Earth Realms Kingdom.
The United Earth Realms Kingdom were set on a solid foundation and Lorne was no longer the hero of just Earth, but became the hero of many worlds.
In the Dragon Empire a new Prince was being crowned. Prince Ying Xiong and Princess Long were married and today was Prince Ying’s coronation ceremony.
“All know how Prince Ying saved our Empire from destruction, brought redemption to us so we could reunite with our brothers of the Chamono Dragon family, the Wu Di clan. He is loyal, steadfast, compassionate, and a peerless leader. When my time is at an end, he will reign in my place. Today is not the coronation of just a new prince, today is the coronation of the crown prince!” All the people in attendance cheered in praise. Lorne was the hero of Empire. He nearly lost his life fighting against the Great Fiend.
No one here knew, however, Prince Ying was a clone made from a clone stone which Lorne threw out just prior to being sucked into the Karmic gate. Standing off to the side was Prince Ying’s best friend and brother, Big Bear. Big Bear had become recognized as the Empire’s greatest Blacksmith. Of course, he was also a clone made from a clone stone.
The real Big Bear had chased Lorne through the Karmic Gate and was attached to a karmic rope Lorne grabbed onto. Lorne didn’t realize Big Bear was along for the ride and Big Bear was unable to move to help him out.
When Lorne was reincarnated, Big Bear’s soul was attached to Tower whose body was severely wounded. Tower wouldn’t have died, but with Big Bear’s soul becoming attached to his soul, it amplified his healing abilities. Wounds that should have kept him in bed for months were healed almost instantly.
The same situation is what happened to Paneneko. He was still alive and when the Great Fiend’s soul was tossed into Paneneko’s body. Malkus was already dead at this point and his soul departed. Lorne’s soul was in such shock it slept for many years as did the other souls.
A month after the birth of their first child, Lorne packed up and was ready to head out.
“Lorne, must you go?” asked B’riri.
“I need to be true to myself. I’m not a cultivator, I’m a hero and no one here needs to be saved,” laughed Lorne.
“Besides, I’m still very curious about this world. I heard there’s a wall that goes around the entire world and is so high I can’t see it even with my Ridarn vision,” said Lorne.
“Who told you that?” asked Tower.
“Master River sent me a list of interesting sites. He learned How strong I was from Master Compassion and knowing my nature he felt I would get more enjoyment from traveling. My plan is to see this site and do a little more exploring, and from there, who knows,” Lorne smiled.
“Parting like this is really sad,” said B’riri.
“We’re not saying goodbye forever. You guys have your kids, watch them grow up and when you’re done with the domestic life maybe we’ll go adventuring together again,” Lorne said with a laugh.
Both Tower and B’riri smiled sadly but gave their hugs to Lorne. After a few more goodbyes, Lorne left them.
As he was nearing the exit to the Sect, Lorne saw someone standing next to the exit. It was his uncle Heken. Formerly, he was known as BS42, but after the cloning he gave his Warbox to a piece of his soul. He had grown a new Zimwarn body for himself. It had some similarities to his original body, but it also had a lot of differences. He looked like an athletic scholar. Wearing a white and grey robe, long brown hair, brown eyes, and a reserved disposition, he stood there quietly waiting for Lorne.
“Uncle Heken,” Lorne said.
“I’m going to miss you kid, we’ve been together for so long and now you’re leaving on your own. I wish you would have at least let me create a new Samsara pod for you,” he said.
“What for? It’s still working fine and I’ll only need it if I get killed. I’m not so sure killing me is that easy right now,” said Lorne.
“Don’t get cocky, there are a lot of people out there who are far more powerful than you. You only survived the last battle because the Fiend General was playing with you. If Paneneko hadn’t shown up he would have killed you for being annoying,” he said.
“I understand Uncle Heken. I will be careful. Thank you for seeing me off,” Lorne changed the subject. This wasn’t the first time he was lectured by his uncle over the battle against the Fiend.
“So, you’re going to complete the Life Training?” asked Heken.
“Yeah, why not, I have only seen a couple of worlds. There’s so much out there for me to see. I want to see everything. Who knows what I’ll find,” Lorne said.
“Not interested in staying around for that girl Su Ming?” He asked.
“Not right now, maybe some day in the future. I want to go on an adventure, not to become an Emperor but just to explore. Along the way, I’ll save some people and protect the world from Fiends and other threats. I’ll be a hero, that’s who I am anyway,” He said.
“The Invincible Hero still lives to serve, but remember, you aren’t invincible,” Heken reminded him.
“I understand, as I keep telling people, it’s a goal more than a name. I want to be a strong shield to protect others,” said Lorne.
With that Lorne hugged his uncle and walked out of the Sect heading towards the Southwest.
“Big ‘Ol Wall Town, I wonder what it will be like,” Lorne pondered quietly to himself. Suddenly his body and clothes changed from an ordinary Sect member into the uniform of the Invincible Hero. Without looking back, Lorne flew forward on his first solo adventure.
THE END FOR NOW
From the Author ClownfishFighter
Here we are, I can’t believe it. It’s the last chapter of The Invincible Hero Volume II.
It’s been a great pleasure writing this series. I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. I hope others have also enjoyed it.
I have decided not to write Volume III for now. I know I made a lot of mistakes with TIH, it was my first novel.
My plans going forward are to edit TIH Volumes I and II and then I’ll release a new book. Look for a teaser coming soon. I’ll put the teaser here and hopefully everyone will enjoy it as well.
I just want to say thanks to the fans of TIH and to those who wrote to me and demanded I finished Volume II.
I’ve learned my lesson and in the future I’ll make sure I either have a significant number of chapters complete or I won’t publish until I’ve finished a volume.
Thank you once again, you’re all heroes to me!
