Jay: ‘To use the gym battle as a training for my pokemon I will then deliberately use a disadvantage type…’ “Go Levinia!”

“Jolteon!”

Jolteon stood proudly looking at the pokemon in front it know it will be the first battle for her master’s journey, her battle spirit ignited showing a illusion of a wolf forming behind her like a predator.

Flint: “Hoh, seems you are either underestimating me or your a unique kind of trainer to do this… Another trainer also challenged my son with a electric pokemon are you two friends?”

Jay: “Are you talking about Red? Well we both only met each other briefly at Professor Oak’s Laboratory.”

Flint: ‘Could you possibly be a pokedex user as well? But I dont see him using that device’ “Well I will start, Geodude gyroball”

Geodude begin spinning as a light blue ring began forming, suddenly it’s body began shooting towards Jolteon like a cannon ball.

Jay: ‘heh seriously….’ “Jolteon use quick attack to dodge it and finish it off with a iron tail from behind!”

I secretly took off the restriction of the weight on Jolteon to get it to use this battle to get accustomed to its new speed, but also to prevent the gym leader from reacting fast enough since he knew gym leaders are not for show their each strong in their own way. Flint taken by surprise by the Jolteon’s speed

Flint: “Geodude DODG—”

Before he even finished to command Jolteon slammed it’s Iron tail from behind like a baseball bat while using the speed of geodude’s gyroball to catapult it straight into the wall causing it to faint.

Referee: “Geodude is unable to battle, the winner is Jolteon!”

Flint: “Take a good rest” he recalls geodude back into its ball

Jay: “I know you Gym Leaders task is to train and guide new trainers when they challenge you, but as a Gym Leader you should never relax your guard even if its a new trainer. Fight me seriously as it will only make it look like your looking down on my effort to reach the summit”

Flint was shocked at the sudden development and the speech of the child, it took a few seconds before letting out a sigh.

Flint: “Sorry about that, I will definitely take this lesson you taught me to heart. Now it’s my turn to turn this around, Go Onix!”

What appeared was a giant chain of gray boulders that become smaller towards the tail. It has a rocky spine on its head and a pair of black eyes right beneath it. It was quite intimidating like that Gyarados, it should give some challenge for Levinia.

Flint: “Onix use Rock Tomb!”

Rocks began to float in the air around it before launching towards Jolteon to imprison it.

Jay: “Jolteon jump on the rocks using quick attack”

Following my command Jolteon began jumping rock to rock towards Onix

Flint: ‘Not a bad idea of dodging but…’ “Onix use Flash Cannon!”

Jay: “Shit! Levinia Dodge” but then I realized that she was mid-air

Onix opened it’s mouth launching a light beam of energy towards Jolteon, *boom*! a cloud of smoke surrounds Jolteon’s body before it could be seen crashing into the ground full of bruises. I ran towards her to check if the injuries is serious, after confirming everything is fine I give her a full restore.

Referee: “Jolteon is unable to battle, Onix is the winner!”

Jay: “You exceeded my expectations my little sparkling, take a good rest as after this we will continue our training to make sure something like this won’t happen to you again” I gently rub her head before recalling her back into the ball.

Flint: “Seems you realized what you lack, you truly are remarkable trainer. Not only do you look after them real well it feels like I’m battling only one pokemon, as if you and your pokemon became one.”

Jay: “Yeah I will take this lesson and remember it well. Thanks, so lets do this go Artemis!”

Eevee looks up at Onix with a slight anger apparent in its eyes, this eevee is quite attached to my other pokemon because their her first real friends she made.

Flint: “Eevee huh? Very well Onix use dig!”

Onix began digging its way into the ground leaving a hole where it digged.

Jay: “Eevee jump on one of the rocks and use double team on the rest of them”

It was a gamble but for now it’s what I can do with my Eevee, since its her first match I want her to experience and savour it well. The ground began to shake but quieted down for a moment before one of the rocks eevee stood on broke apart revealing Onix bursting out.

Jay: “Eevee now se Quick attack to climb up its body”

Eevee’s doubles began dissapearing revealing a running eevee covered with a faint white energy aura climbing on Onix’s body to its head.

Jay: “Now use Iron Tail to slam it down followed by a Shadow Ball!”

Following my command her tail began to harden as she ran, just a small distance away from the head she jumped into the air before performing a front sumersault slamming her tail square on it’s face. Without waiting for a moment she opened her mouth mid-air launching a shadow ball towards Onix causing a explosion to cover its body with smoke taking a while for it all to clear.

Referee: “Onix is unable to battle, the winner of this Gym Battle is the Challenger!”

Flint: “Good work out there my old friend, you take a good rest. That was a excellent battle there using disadvantage types against my pokemon to sharpen them huh? So was my whetstone good enough?”

Jay: “Yes you were truly execellent, no wonder your son was able to become a good Gym Leader after you. I learnt alot from this battle and as a thank you for this match I will leave some information for you… Team Rocket is backed by a organization which I’m not entirely sure of, I suggest you and your trainers following you start training. Better to be prepared than sorry right?”

Flint: “Bwahahahaha, well as long as I performed my task as a Gym Leader well enough thats good enough for me, and thanks I will take your advice to heart. Well here is the boulder Badge, hope to see how you will perform your battle in the Indigo league!”

I smile looking at the badge before putting it into my personal customized Badge Case feeling a sort of accomplishment, my first badge although my life in this world will be threatened but I will strive to better myself each and every time.

Jay: “Thanks!”

Flint: “Oh wait from what I can tell your a Eevee trainer aren’t you?”

Jay: “Ah yes, I intend to use only a team of eevee and it’s evolution forms for the league, why?”

Flint: “Hmm… Hold on for a moment, hey you get those two pokemons for me”

I look at the trainer running off somewhere before turning back to Flint waiting for his explanation

Flint: “Well you see, a few days ago in Veridian Forest I was training while hiding from my Son, I was ashamed and could not face him at that time. I saw a Stranger wearing some sort of Ninja outfit but his entire face was covered by a white bird mask threw two injured pokemons shouting how useless they are, and he abused them. He must have sensed me approaching and simply ran off leaving the two pokemons alone”

‘Its that man… The bastard his not only wicked to humans but pokemon as well. I refuse to believe he comes from the same world as me, it will shame me to death with just the thought of coming from the same place as a scum like that’

Flint: “I barely managed to keep the two intact with revive and potion till I reached the pokemon center but since then it refused to talk with anyone even pokemons, after watching your battle I can see your pokemons love you and you love them, maybe with you can you open them up once more. So can I request to look after them?”

Jay: “You dont need to even make that request, I swear upon my name Jay Silver that I will look after them like my own family”

???: “Ah here it is”

I take the two pokemon and was shocked to the core, what was in the pokeballs were Espeon and Umbreon. What shook me up was the fact to have an Eevee evolve into either of these requires a great deal of loyalty, like a samurai pledging it’s loyalty to its master. The idea of the shock these two went through enraged me but I kept it under control. I bowed towards Flint thanking him once more before running off to Diglett Cave nearby deciding its best to camp out tonight.

Jay: ‘I need to talk with them’ “Yue what’s holding Inori up?”

[Ah Inori decided to travel to the first island that the pokemon decided to live on to train herself and Mudkip, I guess that battle truly shook her a bit so I suppose she wont be coming to you anytime soon]

Jay: ‘Well although I want to have her next to me but her being selfish for the first time since we met is a good thing, with this I can catch up with Red and travel with him. Will use that so called Protagonist aura of his to pull out that bastard. “Thats alright tell her to take her time, there is no need to rush things so she should train diligently”

I took out the camp house capsule and placed it near the entrance before entering it.

Jay: “Alright everyone come out” I call out all of my pokemons including the two new pokemons, they were extremely wary of me and my pokemons but I simply ignored it for now. I went off to the kitchen starting to cook food for us all while leaving Minette my Mew to connect all of them through telepathy sharing their memories with one another. This was the first step of the plan I decided to take, first get the pokemon to break the barriers with once another. Use Food to give a better impression and finally our true talk.

After finishing the food I see that the pokemons are a bit more comfortable with one another yet a slight cautiousness is still lurking around those two, I slowly approach them to show I don’t have any ill intentions before placing two bowls filled with pokemon food according to their required diets and simply left them alone. “You may eat it” I gently spoke before walking towards my pokemon giving each of them their bowls and so we all ate our food.

Washing dishes….. ‘Why am I washing dishes!? How the hell could I forget about the Otaku’s most valuable Dishwasher-sama’ I Lamented at my own forgetfulness and vowed to buy a Dishwasher at the next two. When I was done I finally took a seat on the floor facing them, Minette was resting on my shoulder while the rest of my pokemons went to their beds.

Jay: (Telepathy) “I won’t ask you what you went through, I won’t ask you to do anything for me. I will look after you two as I promised, I intend to earn your trust but if I can’t earn it and you find someone else who you think is better I will let you go so until then I will look after you” I stood up before taking one last look at them with caring eyes and a small smile before leaving thinking ‘I just truly hope from my heart I will be good enough for you two’. Unknowingly to me, my thoughts were also linked with Mew’s telepathy sharing it with everyone. So I went outside with Mew after confirming with my map scanner there is no one nearby nor any mechas, and went into the cave to catch some Digletts.
