The Kidnapped Bride - Chapter 502
Chapter 502: Evidence!
Few days have passed and currently, Jennifer was in her house while reading books. She heard a slight knock on her room’s door, which made her turn her face to look at the other side, “Jennifer, what are you doing, child?”
Jenifer glanced in her mother’s side, before she moved her eyes again on her book, “Nothing much.I was just going through some major things. What happened? Anything serious?”
“Nothing serious.I..just came out to check upon you.” Jennifer smiled, but there, she noted that her mother was behaving slightly differently.
It made her eyes turn into a frown, and even more, it made her alarmed. Amelia didn’t stay for much longer and quickly closed the door behind her.
But Jennifer was still not contemptuous with Amelia’s behavior either.
‘Why do I feel she is hiding more than being my fake parent?’ It made no sense but then, Jennifer got up from her bed to open the door.
Not wasting her time, Jennifer went downstairs and found out that her parents are getting ready to go somewhere out, “Are you guys going somewhere out?”
…..
“We are going to our neighbors. They have called us for some important work.” her father answered and Jennifer simply put on a sign to nod in understanding.
She waited till her parents left the place quickly and afterwards, a shutting of the door was heard.
Right now, Jennifer Taylor’s brain is working more sharply than ever. While her eyes moved to see the drawers present in the drawing room, her eyes curled upwards. As a mysterious glint passed through those shining eyes, shedding stopped but walked closer to the place with fast speed.
Hurriedness had consumed Jennifer better than anyone else. To this point, she opened the drawers with speedy actions to look through the files, papers and documents. There were tons of the papers inside the files but they are all of the work done by her parents.
‘They are hiding such a big thing from me, they must be something about me in their spaces..’ until now,she never suspected.
However, since the day Jennifer learned that she isn’t her parent’s daughter, her brain has worked pretty much fast. The moment her parents told her that they were leaving for sometime, her mind worked in the direction of some better proof or concrete evidence to support her claim in this.
Opening the first drawer, she found nothing. In the second shelf, there were same files and documents, while the third one was entirely empty.
A sigh escaped from Jennifer’s lips when she felt herself to be tired. Biting her nails, Jennifer rotated on her post, surveying her eyes on each place where the possible evidences can be present.
“But, will they keep it so casually? And I’m already around twenty five or so. It must be very old. And probably, they won’t keep it so casually either..” Something struck Jennifer’s brain like light.
Her legs worked on its own to make their way to the upstairs and straightway to her parents room. Standing inside, she felt the bets of sweat covering her thread as nervousness crawled under her skin like never before.
‘I will need to do this..’ and this thought didn’t stop her from doing what she had been looking forward to. Knowing about her birth origin from her own parents was almost not possible.
And the only solution left in her hands was to spy on their activities and the material. It was impossible to not have any evidence in their safe zone regarding this, Jennifer thought.
Taking a few steps ahead, Jennifer took a deep breath to open her mother’s closet and started searching through her clothes. They were all scattered, but the dresses, tops, jeans, but nothing was there that would match her eyes. Not even the jewelry of her mother.
The few documents which she found, were of the property and stuff with weren’t linked to her.
At last, Jennifer sat on the bed with her heavy shoulders. ‘God..why is this so hard?’ She was totally clueless.
However, then she had started to recall the last conversation for parents. “They had said that,…they knew each other. They were induced to do that..to take me away..I’m a princess….so..”
The next step, Jennifer had opened her mother’s closet once again but this time, she took out a large picture album of other parents. ‘I saw this when I was kid…’ she remembered its cover too well.
Her mother had told her that this contains the pictures of her younger days. When Jenifer flipped the pages, she saw black and white pictures. Not only that, there were more than the pictures. She saw her parent’s wedding pictures where mother wore a white gown and looked stunning.
As she kept on flipping the pages, Jennifer’s sight caught on a certain picture and that was with a man.
The man’s face was young, gilfully wrinkled too. He was wearing the formal uniform of which she had no idea.
Moreover, the large beard and the straight sophisticated look. Whereas, her parents stood either side of the man with the flowers in their hand.
For a while, Jennifer kept on staring at the picture as if she was seeing something more than her parents. The old man had worn a formal uniform which attracted her attention like never before.
It apparent seemed that the man was some kind of a formal man…’Is it possible that this man is Royal?’ If he was, she must be related to him.
At last, Jennifer took the picture from the album to finally glance it near her eyes. Determination passes through those gazes since she had set her eyes on her mission.
“Let’s find out who you are and… who were my fake parents before getting married..”
