The Kidnapped Bride - Chapter 563 - 563 Broken Love-1
563 Broken Love-The funeral day
Charles and Sierra looked over at each other to finally knock on the door. “Javier, it’s time for us to leave.” But in response to their words, there was no sound from the other end.
They grew worried when they looked at each other again as their heart was filled with heaviness. “Will he come today or not?” Sierra questioned with a frown.
Javier’s condition hasn’t been good for the last two days. The day they found out about Jennifer’s demise, everything crumbled in front of their eyes. They saw Javier’s mental breakdown, how he went on rampage and where he was ready to kill anyone who tried to stop him in his loose control.
In fact, he tried to snap the head of many of the bodyguards. However, what calmed his nerves was the face of his little one. He saw Ariana’s face in Sierra’s arms and suddenly everything halted. Since that day, he rarely left Ariana’s side for a single minute. He made the child sleep with him by his side, he took over all her duties but spoke not even a word with others.
“I think he will definitely come. He wouldn’t like to miss this.” Charles muttered but he still held the uncertainty in his tone. No one could define Javier’s mental state and there was no way anyone would be able to do so. It came as a shock which had a deep impact on him.
Sierra sighed when she knocked again on the door, “Javier please come out. It is time for us to leave.. You should at least say final goodbye to her.”
Immediately with these words, the door snapped open and they all saw Javier in the black tuxedo. He covered his eyes with a black glasses and a white flower hung around his side of the coat. The couple stared at Javier who was finally out and asked, “About Ariana..”
“Slept.” A crisp word and not a single sentence anymore. He walked past them to walk down the stairs and came across Amaira and Ryan who also didn’t speak to him but only passed him a stare. They all saw him getting out of the mansion where his eyes fell upon Ellen who was near his car. Even he didn’t converse with him either but Javier sat on the passenger seat where Ellen without muttering anything only took the driver seat to drive towards the church.
…..
The drive was filled with silence and behind them all the others drove. Sierra’s face was covered with a black knitted veil and a hat. She held Charles’s hand to enter the church along with Ryan, Amaira and Ellen following him.
The last person to step inside was Javier who had to gather much more courage. Never in the million years did he think a day would come where he would be attending the funeral of someone with whom he wanted to grow old.
All those odd emotions were hidden beneath his glasses. People came, greeted him and expressed their sorrows. Javier didn’t say a single word but only nodded slightly to those who were important.
Ellen, Ryan, Charles were standing beside him who joined in the meeting and greeting process. It was then they saw Hannah coming towards them. Those eyes were filled with tears when she came across the people and finally stepped in front of Javier to see his face and stare for some time.
Her eyes switched between Ellen and Javier until they settled on Javier. “Was it an accident as what reports are saying?” She asked bluntly but in a slightly lower voice. To her answer, Ellen shook his head.
“So it was a murder then..” Hannah didn’t say anything for some time before opening her lips, “I warned her before stepping in this world if she was ready to face everything by your side. It was evident by getting involved with you, this will bring danger on her head as well. But she willingly took it and didn’t step down because she loved you genuinely.”
“This is unfortunate but I will not give you any sympathy. You don’t need it in between this time. She will rest well wherever she is but remember one thing, Javier Johnson.” Hannah raised her eyes to face Javier who was still not moving his face, yet his ears were still to her words.
This time, Hannah took a deep breath and her face showed a dangerous glare. Nothing could hide those gazes and how much she held. It was a warning sign.
“If you dare to mistreat Ariana or I see anything bad happening with her, trust me that I will not take any time to snatch my goddaughter from you, no matter how much you beg me that she is the last sign of Jennifer. I hope you will not forget my sister like a friend so easily and won’t replace her.”
With this, Hananh stepped back from her place and let other guests come to greet him. But before she could have completely walled away, she heard Javier’s words which brought a ray of hope.
“It won’t happen. Neither will I ever be able to replace my wife and nor will you be getting any chance of snatching Ariana from me at any cost. So forget about such dreams.”
From his words, Hannh knew they were genuine but she didn’t say much except, “I hope you keep your words as you say.”
With final words, Hananh stepped away and rest of the guests continued to greet them and men were still passing nods, except Javier who stayed expressionless and mum.
However, then came another person who was not new to any of them but a surprise formed on Ellen, Charles and Ryan’s face, since they were least expecting to see a man from Smith Land.
No one spoke anything and Jack also came forward to only face one and only Javier as he needed him now.
“My condolences to you and your family.” Jack spoke with the utmost cold tone but it held respect in it. But then, Jack stepped closer to hug Javier once again, whispering in his ears, “Why have you called me on special notice, Javier?”
