The King’s Mandate: Anomalous System - Chapter 404
Elena gulped down as she glanced at Das’ face, thinking, ‘I should have forgiven him. Now he will get angry because I asked him to–‘
“I am sorry.”
“Huh?!”
Elena was both shocked and surprised after hearing the word ‘sorry’ from Das’ mouth.
She couldn’t believe her ears.
“What did you say?”
“I am sorry.”
Something awakened inside Elena, and she wanted him to say sorry again.
Elena’s soft gaze turned into a glare as she looked at Das and said, “Is this how you apologize to others?”
“I don’t apologize to anyone.”
“You need to be sorry when you say ‘sorry’ to anyone. And I don’t feel any sincereness in your voice.”
“…”
“It’s no different than a normal word. Apologize again, and this time, say my name too.”
“I am sorry, Elena.”
“You just added my name. Say something more.”
“I am sorry, Elena. I will never make fun of you again. Please forgive me.”
Elena smirked and said, “Good. That’s what I wanted to hear.”
Das took a deep breath and said, “I am never saying this again.”
‘It was so humiliating, dammit!’
Elena grinned and said, “It’s fine. You promised you would never make fun of me again, so you won’t ever have to apologize again, right?”
“Ye…ah.”
‘I hope I don’t break this promise. But I don’t think I will be able to hold back.’
He glanced at Elena, who was grinning widely, and said, ‘Every time I see her face, I feel like making fun of her.’
“And besides, I can hear it anytime I want.”
“Huh?”
Elena smirked as she tapped on her phone screen.
[I am sorry, Elena. I will never make fun of you again. Please forgive me]
“….”
Elena had recorded when Das apologized.
Elena tapped on the screen again.
[I am sorry, Elena. I will never make fun of you again. Please forgive me]
“I will set this as my ringtone.”
“…!”
“You…!”
‘This bitch!’
“I really want to punch you right now.”
Elena’s smirked disappeared as she moved to the corner and said, “No physical abuse.”
“…!”
‘Dammit!’
“I was honestly feeling furry about what happened yesterday, so I tried to talk to you and did everything you asked me to. And then you asked me to apologize, so I apologized again and again.”
“Wait–”
“And what did you do after all that? You recorded it, and now you are blackmailing me with it?”
“I am not trying to–”
“I am very disappointed in you.”
“Just hear me–”
“I never thought you would be this type of girl.”
“Hey–”
“I seriously regret eve–”
Elena slammed her hand on Das’ mouth as she said, “Don’t say those things.”
“Mmf!”
“I won’t do it again, so stop saying those things, okay?”
She was on the verge of crying.
Das grabbed Elena’s hand and shrugged it from his lips.
“Delete that recording, and I might reconsider”
Elena stared blankly at Das for three seconds and did something on her phone.
“Done”
Das’ raised his eyebrows as he moved his hand towards her and said, “Show me.”
Elena hid her phone behind her and said, “Why?”
“Because I don’t trust you, and I think you still have that recording.”
“You don’t trust me?”
“I just said I don’t trust you, not after what you just did a while ago.”
“You are so rude. I am telling the truth, you know?”
Das made a disgusted face as he said, “You know, I could see everything from the mirror behind you. And I saw you uploading that recording to your cloud storage instead of deleting it.”
Elena started sweating as she tried to make some excuses.
“Just give me your phone, and I will delete that recording from both your phone and the cloud. ”
“Don’t you know the term called ‘privacy’? I can’t show you my phone for privacy reasons.”
Das’ face twitched as he moved towards Elena to grab her phone.
“Hey–”
Das cornered her and moved his hand towards Elena’s back.
“You are too close!”
Elena’s mind stopped working.
Part of her wanted to run away, part of her wanted to hide the phone, part of her wanted to stay just like that, part of her wanted Das to touch her, and the part of her wanted Das to get more closer to her.
Elena’s face was red as blood.
“Just give me the phone.”
“I won’t! And you are too close–hey! Stop doing that!”
Das was pressing his body against Elena, though he was unaware of what he was doing as all his attention was on to delete that recording.
“Stop–!”
As Elena tried to resist and Das kept pressing his body against her, they both lost balance and fell down.
Ding~
The elevator stopped, and the door opened.
Elena was lying on the bottom, and Das was on top of her, trying to get up.
“Ah…”, A voice came from outside the door.
Das and Elena both looked at the door and saw Samuels.
Samuels tried to pretend he didn’t see anything, but it was too late for him to play dumb now.
All three of them stared at each other for a while.
“I know you said you would push her down, but I never thought you would seriously do it” Samuel then glanced around the hallway and said, “And you can’t do that stuff in the elevator, you know?”
Das immediately got up and smashed the keys.
The door closed, and the elevator began to move.
Samuel didn’t know what to do, so he just pretended he didn’t see anything to others.
Meanwhile, inside the elevator,
Das was standing right in front of the door with his face facing towards it. While Elena was standing in the corner with her face towards the mirror.
Her face was flushed to her ears.
After about two seconds which were like an eternity for both of them, Das said, “Delete that recording.”
“I won’t delete it after what you just did,” Elena said in a very low voice.
“It was your fault. If you had just given me your phone, I would have deleted the recording.”
“You could have asked me kindly too.”
“Kind words never work on you.”
“You were so rough even though I told you to stop.”
“Don’t say it like that!”
‘Dammit! That was so humiliating.’
Das clenched his face with his hand as he thought, ‘I can’t believe a girl like her can humiliate me. Not just once, but twice. And I can’t even do anything.’
‘But her body was so soft, and she smelled nice–! Stop! Stop these thoughts!’
‘I wonder what kind of perfume she–! Stop!’
Ding~
The elevator door opened, and Elena dashed out.
Das stepped out of the elevator as he muttered, “I will let this one slide.”
Ring~ Ring~!
The lunch break ended.
“Great”
‘I didn’t even get to eat anything because of her.’
Das walked to his classroom and sat on his desk.
He kept gazing at Elena just like he did in the first half of the school, and Elena also glanced at Das once in a while, just like before. The only difference this time was that instead of ignoring him and glaring at him, she was now blushing.
The classes started and ended.
The last class was canceled because the teacher of that subject was transferred and a new intern teacher was about to join from tomorrow.
All the other students did whatever the after-school activities they always do, and those who didn’t do anything went home.
Das thought Elena would stay in the room as he was going to tutor her, but after all the students left the room, the class was empty with just him inside.
Das sighed in annoyance as he grabbed his bag and left the room.
“Don’t tell me she ran away?” he muttered.
‘If she actually ran away, then she will regret it for her entire life.’
“I will just go to her house and drag her back.”
‘But I don’t know about her house. I always drop her around her block.’
As Das was wondering where Elena might went, he reached the counseling room.
He stood in front of the door and said, “Let’s hope she is here.”
He took a deep breath as he opened the door and went inside.
HE stepped in and glanced around the room.
“She… isn’t here.”
‘So she ran away after all?!’
Das turned around and was about to leave the room but stopped as he turned back and looked at the wall.
“Hmm?”
He walked to the wall and saw bloodstains.
“Why… are there bloodstains here?”
He then looked at the broken chair near the window.
Das once again glanced around the room.
“When did this happen?”
‘Someone came in after I left yesterday?’
He walked to the broken chair and inspected it with his eyes.
“This looks like someone threw this on someone”
‘And judging by the bloodstains, they look old.
Das tapped the chair with his leg and said, “There are no cameras here, so I can’t know anything.”
Das sighed and walked to the door.
He was lost in thoughts of what might have happened in the room after he left; Elena entered the room and bumped into him.
“Watch when you walk,” remarked Das.
“You are the one who needs to be careful. Who stands like that on the doorway?”
“I wasn’t standing. I was leaving the… room.” He then looked at Elena and said, “Why are you here?”
“What do you mean? You are going to tutor me, right?”
“…”
‘I thought she ran away!’
Elena gasped as she said, “Don’t tell me you won’t tutor me because of what happened today?!”
Das waved his hand and said, “No, no, no. I am not as petty as you.”
