The Kings Power - 42 Blue and lavender, part 1
Snow opened her eyes and was met with her blue and purple room. She, at first couldn’t remember what happend, but it didn’t take long till she did.
She remembered the attacks, Yuna, the coma that followed, and when she and her friends arrived at the castle.
Snow didn’t know what to expect when she arrived, but not ever in her right mind would she have expected to see what she saw.
When Snow and her friends arrived at the castle, Noctis was sitting in the dinning area surrounded with papers.
He looked up once to acknowledge Snow, before going back to work.
She directed her friends to their rooms before entering the dining hall.
“What are you doing?” Snow asked, she was tired and not in the mood for an argument, but she got this feeling that it’s exactly what’s going to happen.
“I’m working.” Noctis answered, not looking up.
“I can see that.” Snow snapped.
“Then why are you asking such stupid question when you can clearly see what I’m doing?”
“I don’t know, why did you tell Cynthea and the rest of my friends that I only left a couple of hours ago, when I clearly didn’t.” Snow said, glaring at the prince.
Noctis sighed and lifted his gaze.
“I thought you might need some space, but if I knew that you would go with that Nate fellow, I would have personally went along.”
Snow brows shot up, the guards must’ve told him about that, but that isn’t what bothered her.
“I didn’t need space, on the contrary, I needed my friends!” Snow shouted.
“Calm down Snow, I just wanted what was best for you.” Noctis stood up, and walked to where she was.
“Really? Could have fooled me.” Snow said, recounting what Nate said to her earlier.
“Look Snow, I don’t want to fight with you. You’re obviously tired and cranky, but I am truly sorry, I really thought you needed space, but I see that I was wrong, and that I needed to be there for you.” Noctis said. He had put his hand on her shoulder.
Snow nodded, looking to the floor, not meeting Noctis’ eyes.
“How is Yuna doing?” Noctis said removing his hand.
Only then did Snow look up at Noctis as he was taller than her.
“Not so great, the doctor said it’s a very small chance of survival.” Snow said, her voice breaking, she could feel a single tear sliding down her face.
“Oh Snow, don’t cry.” Noctis said, wrapping Snow in a hug, which she returned. The tears were now flowing from her eyes.
Snow and Noctis stood there for a couple more minutes, before he broke the hug.
“Go take a long shower and then you go climb into bed, okay. You need to rest after today. Your powers took a lot out off you.”
Snow nodded and went to her room. She took a long shower and when she came out, there was blue and lavender roses in her room, with a card on top of one of them.
Snow opened the card and what was written in it, shocked her.
“My fascination grows toward you, likethis purple lavender, when it is planted. You are mysterious like the blue roses that is enchanted.
Hope your friend gets better soon.”
Snow turned the card around to see if anyone signed it, but there was nothing.
Snow then climbed into bed and fell asleep.
Snow heard a knock that broke her thoughts of the day before.
“Come in.”
The door opened and revealed the face of her friend, Cinthea. She was still in her nightclothes, but that never stopped her friend before, so Snow doubted that it will stop her now.
Her eyes were puffy and had bags under it. It was evident that she’s been crying the entire night.
Snow patted the seat the next to her and Cinthea went to sit in it. Snow put her arm around her friend shoulders to try and comfort her, and not a moment later she heard Cinthea sniff.
Neither of them said anything, they sat there for a couple of minutes, then the door opened and Fay and Thea walked in, without nocking.
“Sure, walk on in.” Snow mumbled, removing her arm. Cinthea lifted her head to see who it was, wiping her eyes with her hand.
They look a lot better than Cinthea does, Snow noticed. Thea stopped in her tracks, making Fay bump into her. Fay shot her a glare but when she saw her expression, she followed Thea’s gaze toward the window. That was where the roses were situated on the dresser.
“Where did you get these?” Thea asked, walking towards them.
Cinthea followed Thea with her eyes, when she saw the roses, her eyes widened.
“I don’t know, when I came out of the shower last night, I found the roses and a card with it, but it wasn’t signed by anyone.” Snow answered.
Thea nodded and went to sit next to Snow. Fay went to sit next to Cinthea, still not saying anything.
“How are you holding up?” Thea asked Cinthea, patting her knee.
“I’m fine I guess, but I want to get to the hospital as soon as possible.”
“Are you sure that is wise, especially with how emotional you are on the moment.” Fay said, finding her voice.
Cinthea nodded, staying firm.
“Would you mind if I come along?” Snow asked.
“No of course not, I would like some company.”
“Then I will come along.” Fay said, pushing her glasses up.
“Me too.” Thea said.
“Okay, so we’re all going, lets meet each other in the hall in about an hour and a half.” Cinthea said. Only then did Snow hear how thick her voice was. Snow then understood why Cinthea wanted to get out of the room so quickly, she was on the verge of tears again.
The rest of them only nodded, and before they left the room, they gave each other a group hug.
Snow got up and ready to meet her friends in the hall in time. She stopped in front of the roses, admiring them for the first time. It was beautifully arranged and the roses complemented each other very good, she took one of the roses and brought it to her nose to smell the scent.
It was a sweet scent and it tickled her nose a little bit, but not much to let her sneeze.
“I see you like the roses.”
Snow whirled around to see who was talking, and she gasped in shock.
“What are you doing here, and how did you get in my room?”
