The Lady Of The Future - Chapter 12
When the Prime Minister heard of it, he realized that something went wrong from the report. Usually, there were limited people who wanted to descend into the Mortal Realm and lived there, but suddenly it was increasing. There were too little workers tied by the Azure Realm to report back and regulate the people in case something went wrong and Azure Realm would be in danger.
“Is it something dangerous?” Louis took the courage to ask.
King George extinguished such thought, “No. We’re fairly safe… for now.”
Alfina find that last word interesting and joined the conversation, “What do you mean, for now?”
King George then sighed and started to tell them the report:
According to the latest news from the Mortal Realm, mortal’s technology was getting closer and closer to discover the researches of Alfonso Hyde. It was very dangerous for the mortals to know that knowledge without slowly understanding them. Once they find one thing, they could find another, and human greed was just in the shadows waiting.
Several former Azure Citizen had died to protect the leaking of this information. They’re trying their best to hold the mortals into their place. The use of metals was abundant. The lands were continuously being developed. The air was getting more and more polluted. It was also said that Azure Realm’s altitude was passing by the Ozone Layer.
“If this happened, we would be forced to leave the Azure Realm forever. We can deal with air and gravity, but water and space were still our kinds biggest enemies.” King George seriously said. He dropped the bomb at the highest altitude.
The Prime minister, the two butlers, and Louis were shocked silly. They never thought of the end of their race. This Azure Realm was their treasure and lives. Once it was discovered or lost, they would also be lost forever. They would just be a thing of the past, or maybe not since they were just named as one of that ‘Witches’.
“And?” Alfina was the only one calm and unaffected. Like she wasn’t a part of anything that was happening.
“Therefore, I had to check them up and also fight together with our race living below.” King George simply answered.
“Stupid.”
“Eh?”
“I said,” Alfina coldly glanced at everybody inside. “You’re all stupid.”
Everyone shivered in fear, even her family wasn’t spared. “What do you mean?” Louis managed to ask.
Alfina sighed and said in monotone, “Do you ever asked yourselves if you deserve to live in a ‘Paradise’ such as Azure Realm?”
“No.” Prime Minister unconsciously answered.
“See?” Alfina’s tone was as if it was obvious and everyone was just ignoring what she had to say, “According to history, Alfonso Hyde, LENT the world he painstakingly made for himself for the race of Irah. He thought that it was reasonable and Irah was SMARTER than MORTALS. And what the hell am I seeing in front of my eyes? Did Alfonso himself make a mistake? A GRAVE mistake, indeed.”
Everyone was scared at Alfina but they couldn’t take their eyes off of her…
“Smarter? Oh please, aren’t Irah’s just another white-eyed wolf?” Alfina sneered robotically.
“Fina that’s kind of rude to every Irah…” King George manage to say.
“Rude? Are you kidding me?” Alfina raised one of her eyebrows, “Though I have Unfeeling, I could sympathize with Alfonso Hyde.”
“Princess would you be kind to let us be enlightened.” Ian bravely stepped forward to ask.
Alfina thought that since this person was interesting for her, she could spare some time to talk to them, “Very well.”
Ian felt that though everyone seemingly to ask repeatedly, that’s because the princess was scary. Her robotic voice when she scolded them using facts was undeniably scary.
Alfina’s tone was adjusted to that of a subordinate reporting, “Within 5 years away from the palace, I’ve seen the whole Azure Realm before I stayed closed doors. When I came out everything was still the same, nothing was changed. I bet it was like this since the moment Alfonso brought everyone in his realm. The changes were just so minimal or maybe nothing at all. As a reference, it was like the medieval period in Mortal Realm.”
“What everyone used was what Alfonso had given. Irah worshiped him like a God and kept everything he researched to be re-created. Alfonso one’s said: ‘Irah’s are smarter than mortals. They will eventually be bringing great changes to humanity.’ That’s also what mortals believe that’s why Irah was almost exterminated by the mortals. Now, the very same direct bloodline of the great Alfonso Hyde was fearing the mortals. And who’s fault do you think was that? Alfonso’s? His technologies? His foresight? No. You guys brought this to yourselves. From Alfonso’s diary, I could say that he bet on the survival of Irah that’s why you’re here right now. Between Mortals and Irah, he picked this race and you all wasted those times you could’ve develop something to run away from this kind of situation.”
“That’s all I could say to you. You reflect. I shall rest now. I’m tired.” Alfina turned around and left the people inside dumbfounded.
As the princess butler, Ian always have a duty to protect her and be by her side. Therefore, without anyone saying, he catches up to her. He also realized the importance of Princess Alfina. She could be the reincarnation of the great Alfonso Hyde. And her opinion couldn’t be second-guessed without reasonable explanation, else it would be a blasphemy to the great Alfonso Hyde that they worship.
That aside, King George was embarrassed. He thought that since Mortals had gone through such hardship before it was just normal for them to experience that. Irah weren’t stupid, but Azure was just that precious of a paradise that they don’t want to destroy anything or move anything.
“I think. We failed to meet the princess’ expectations of the world.” The prime minister murmured and was heard by everyone inside.
Louis voiced his opinion, “Of course, why else would she lock up herself inside her mansion at Cloud Side if not for that very disappointment.”
“She shut herself at Cloud Side?” King George couldn’t help but comment.
Louis nonchalantly answered his father, “When I came in there, the door hardly come off. Anyways, locking herself was one thing. Another was that, she’s believing that only she could make things that could make her interested.” He dropped the biggest bad news, “And she was nearly half-way to what Alfonso had walked into.”
King George’s having a headache and whispered, “Am I wrong, Lily?”
The Prime Minister couldn’t help but interjected, “Forgive me for being insolent but you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just beyond your capabilities to move a single race.”
*Knock knock knock*
A sound of knocking could be heard and Elvin entered the room…
“Am I interrupting something?”

While everyone was talking back in the room, Ian already catch up to Alfina. Alfina noticed his presence but didn’t get offended. After a few seconds, Ian noticed the fork path at the end of the hall and walked faster to guide Alfina.
