The Lady Of The Future - Chapter 13
While walking, Alfina secretly observed this Ian Si. Looking from the top, he had black long hair, tied behind his back. Wearing a smart type of eyeglasses, someone with keen eyes could notice that it was imbued with nanotechnology. It could be used a sensory reliant computer where the glasses could be used as a semi-holographic screen and the frame was sensitive to the figure of the user making the computer screen seemed to pop out of nowhere in the air though only the user could use it.
In the standards of Irah, where everybody could be considered beautiful and young in the standards of mortals, he could be cut above the average. One attractive thing about him was the mole of his below the lips. Making him, what human beauty standards called as, sexy attractive handsome man.
‘Maybe this is an exaggeration but given the examples available and the standards of the world, I think this evaluation was right.’
Generally, Irah didn’t judge a person by their age since they almost look the same, but the beauty standards could still be evaluated given the attractiveness and unique features of an Irah.
‘Oh, he got piercings.’
Piercings were a matter of choice for the person. A lot also have those earrings develop as a communication tool installing a nanochip inside and using sensory and radio waves. A few people had this kind of tech as they were pretty much a pain to use. Aside from re-charging the tech using the wireless charger, it’s not stand alone like a screenphone of the mortals (Glass which reflects and being used as a smartphone).
Given the hardship of inventing something because Azure Realm had double the gravity and resources were limited. Especially if you want some minerals, rock or gem. Irah could somehow fly but it didn’t mean that they could still stand alone or let the items float and defy the gravity. They’re still under the Ozone Layer. Lest the inventor succeeded in making the materials lightweight make the invention, that’s the only time it could really be used.
Speaking of Ozone Layer…
“Ian.” Alfina called out to him that made Ian looked back to answer, “What is it, princess?”
“Tell father, I would help him. But I cannot change the fact that Azure Realm might be passing through the Ozone Layer and even to space. He needed to decide the fate of the race before he worries about the technology spreading and being discovered by the mortals. You go now.”
Ian almost run to do the errand, but he halted, Alfina noticed and asked, “What?”
“Princess, would you like for me to get a maid to guide you to your room?” Ian responded.
Alfina thought first before asking back, “Is my room in Enclave mansion?”
Ian was quite surprised, “Yes, princess.”
“Then you don’t have to worry.”
“Err…”
Alfina looked at the troubled him and answered, “That’s my home. I know it more than anybody.” Before she left him.
Seeing that the Alfina didn’t have any trouble finding her route, Ian ran as fast as he could. The moment he arrived at the room, he composed himself and hurriedly knock.
“Come in”
*Enngk*
“Pardon my rudeness, your majesty.” Ian greeted and almost kneeled down but he was stopped by King George.
“Why did you come back?” King George asked.
Ian then said exactly what Alfina told him to say.
“You already made her talk this much ah,” Elvin commented.
Ian was quite surprised, King George couldn’t help but say, “She rarely talk… to anybody.”
Louis was wronged and said, “What do you mean ‘rare’? She doesn’t talk unless you pry open her mouth ah.”
King George and Prince Elvin felt awkward since they know that Louis was telling the truth. Ian was quite puzzled as to his impression of Alfina greatly differs from what they’re saying. For example, he didn’t even need to talk much… at all. Princess Alfina just said it on her own.
The Prime Minister wanted to end everything and rest for the day. So, he coughed to get their attention, “Since the princess volunteered herself, we need to work our bones out and do our best. Don’t you think so your majesty?”
“I agree with that. Let’s rest for today at least.” Elvin seconded.
Louis looked confused to his brother and father, “Eh? Then what would Ian do then?”
“Ian would need to assist your sister.” King George explained.
Elvin looked at Louis, seriously saying, “You’re a Knight, you need to protect your sister.”
“EH?! Why do I need to guard that monster.”
“Louis.” King George glared at Louis, “Haven’t your mother told you not to call her monster?”
“Ah.” Louis remembered, “Then…robot?”
Elvin felt hopeless wiping his face with his hand, “I’ll let you do as you please when you became a General.”
The naïve Louis asked with sparkling eyes, “REALLY?!”
Everyone shielded themselves in this brilliant puppy sparkling eyes. Now, Elvin hesitated before stutteringly said, “R-really…
“YAY!!!”
And the night went by with Louis causing a ruckus by shouting happily. It was echoing through the palace. Everyone felt hopeless, praying that their second prince would mature quickly. Though his naivety was somewhat cute, entertaining and oozing with friendliness. It was still a pain to everyone that he acted like a child. They don’t have the right to say anything as Prince Louis got his knighthood through effort, which appeared to be effortless and didn’t even get him to hone his attitude.

Morning came, Ian was standing in front of Enclave Mansion. He was hesitating on entering or just wait till Princess Alfina came out herself. 9 am came and he’s still waiting. Ian couldn’t help but worry. Considering that the princess was a woman and single at that, he didn’t dare to come in without permission.
He tried to knock but no one was answering. Earlier, he thought that maybe the princess was just asleep, but looking at the time, it didn’t look like it. A senior maid somehow passed by the place noticed him restless and called him out…
“Ian!”
Ian turned around and looked back to greet, “Hi!
The senior maid came over and look at the closed door behind Ian, “Did you got kick out?”
Ian hurriedly explained, “Ah no, the princess seemed to be asleep. I was waiting for permission to come in. I was knocking earlier but no answer was given yet…” His voice faded away as he went on.
The senior maid could help but chuckle slightly, “Pffft, haven’t you gone to ask about the old maids who work here before?”
“Uhmmm, no…” Ian embarrassingly scratched his head while softly saying, “There might be some bias rumors, so I don’t want to hear them before I know who my master is…”
“Ahhh.” The senior maid understood where Ian was coming from, “Anyways, I used to be one of Princess close maids. She won’t call you nor give you permission.”
“Eh?” Ian was startled
“Princess woke up at 4 am to eat and watch the sunrise. She would also enjoy the sunset before she went back to her research.” The senior maid continued.
Ian couldn’t help but wrote some notes. But when the senior mentioned her sleep and wake up time, Ian couldn’t help but panicked, “It’s almost midday now. What to do?!”
